Then he asks you questions about your malady, investigates different treatment options, and even takes the time to educate you on your condition. He's also a model of patience and persistence. I was a little lazy about using the peak flow test at first, but Dr. Handoyo didn't get annoyed. He just explained the importance of getting a good baseline record of my lung capacity and how it would help him to provide the best treatment, so I made a commitment to be a better patient. With the pandemic and his specialty, I know he is at a greater risk than other doctors, so I especially appreciate his professionalism and efforts to ensure the health and safety of his patients.

Dr. Handoyo and the team of nurses had me take a series of breathing tests, which all seemed overwhelming, but they were all good about explaining why we were doing the tests and what the results meant for me. I really feel at ease whenever I've had to see him and feel very much like I'm taken care of after I leave my appointment. He also has convenient locations for those who live/work in the city. I've gone to his LIncoln Park and Loop office. The Loop office makes it convenient to make appointments during the work week and the Lincoln Park office is a quick train ride from work too.

But if your secondary is Medicaid they will help you set up a payment plan that works best for you.

I drove an hour and 15 minutes to see this doctor and when we showed up to the second appointment for my child the billing lady said she had made a mistake with our billing, I said no problem, I understand, but then she demanded full payment right then, before my child could be seen or else we had to be rescheduled. Again, we drove over an hour for the appointment to be blindsided with a double co-pay, bringing the balance due to $120. I told her I could pay todays co-pay and arrange for payment of the remaining $60 and she would not have it. They have terrible practices there. After trying to explain that at the previous visit we were told we were all set and then to be told today they were wrong, and hearing them own the blame, but yet they couldn't work with us over $60-unbelievable. We turned around and left and will never go there or recommend them to anyone, ever!
