Dr. Leyko, is a true professional in every sense. Good listener, and takes a sincere interest in what the patient is explaining about their conditions. A big thing with me.....He's generally on time with his appointments! I have a problem when I have a specific appointment time, and I wind up seeing a doctor an hour later than what was scheduled. Dr. Couch refused to consider that I might have mast cell activation syndrome and asthma. He refused to prescribe an inhaler or epi pens. I have since been diagnosed with both. I guess my multiple hospitalizations and well over 100 ER visits for allergic reactions aren't real. read more

3 people in my family have been coming here for years. On our drive over today my son mentioned switching to a different practice. His reason being anytime we come, there is always a problem from check in to check out it's never easy. He is 100% correct. I said let's just see how today goes. We arrive to checkin and they mentioned doing a breathing test before seeing the Dr. I told them when I made this appointment this was to get information about a new medication, we did not want to do the breathing test. They said no problem they would make a note. When they called to confirm, I reminded them we did not want the breathing test. Again no problem we will make a note. At check in she said "we have you down for a breathing test and to see the Dr.". I reminded her we did not want to do the breathing test. The look on her face was awful, like I mortally offended her. She then tells us well if you don't do the breathing test there is going to be "a bit of a wait". Ok but we made it clear all along and yet it seems to be a problem. So needless to say they proved my son's point, and this will be our last appointment here. read more

Needed to find a doctor closer to home and that I liked to work with. Had a consultation with Dr. Leyko and he seems very knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor. He mentioned he likes to take less of a medication approach and more of a lifestyle change approach to managing asthma where possible which appealed to me. Setting up the initial appointment was easy and fast, got me in within a few days. They are very thorough with testing and payment expectations. Billing department was very thorough on what I was expected to pay at the time of service, also the front desk manager was also thorough with any additional testing for the day and payment expected BEFORE the testing was done to ensure no surprise out of pocket costs. Dr. Leyko is the best physician of any speciality I've ever had. He pays attention and listens, you don't feel rushed, he picks up on important details and is very involved. I wish all doctors were like this. I have something going on with my immune system have had many doctors brush it off but he actually ran tests a year ago to start to pinpoint the problem. In the absence of finding a good rheumatologist a year later, he's running follow up and additional tests so I can bring them along when I do finally find a good one. I appreciate his care and attention to detail so very much! I often do a lot of research on health myself and start to piece together what I think is going on and it was great to have a doctor pick up on these pieces. Now the hard part is now that I moved away, finding a doc to keep following up on the test results we kept seeing given they are somewhat rare tests where he found abnormalities. read more

He diagnosed a problem that was unresolved by other physicians. He did not rush through any of the appointments. He listened to my concerns, researched, and explained his diagnosis and treatment. When I first met with Dr. Couch, I was at the height of my breathing difficulties. Seven years after moving to AZ, we discovered I was allergic practically to everything that grows here, and that contributed toward my shortness of breath. Dr. Couch laid out a plan, with goals and specific timeline. Four months after initiating the plan, I am breathing much better and we have come up with another plan for the longer term. Dr. Schubert is literally the best! I started coming here about four months ago to try and get my allergies under control. The office is open three days a week (Tuesdays until 7pm!) for weekly shots. I've never waited more than five minutes to be called back and the staff is always super friendly! Be prepared to wait 30 minutes post shot for possible allergic reactions, but they are very rare. I will definitely keep coming back for treatment and would recommend to anyone! read more

I've bee going here for 27 months to receive allergy shots on a weekly basis after my ENT recommended me here. They have multiple doctors who work at this location but I see Dr. Mark Schubert. I hardly ever meet with the doctor even though I am in the office once or twice a week to receive the injections administered by a nurse. They seem to be helping with my symptoms but beware - at the beginning of this process I was told that I would receive an injection weekly for about a year. After about a year and a half I asked if there was anyway to speed up the process because it was inconvenient going every week and they said that they could split the allergens in to two separate so that the dosage could be higher. I don't know why this wasn't offered to me as an option at the beginning of my treatment. So since January of this year I have been received two shots, one in each arm, every Tuesday and Friday. Recently, I questioned them about the process again and they said it takes about 3-5 years of weekly injections to build up a good immunity before you can go down to an injection every other week, etc. They said they have patients who have been receiving injections for 20 years! You have to dedicate about an hour for this process too. When you get there you sign in, wait to have your name called, receive the injection, then have to wait a half hour at the office to make sure you don't have a bad reaction. I kind of feel like I'm getting scammed since they can bill insurance and/or get a co-pay for every office visit but I still have to get the injections since my allergies are so severe. Know what you're getting yourself in to if you start this regimen and commit to it. read more

Great receptionist, billing team, nurses, physicians assistance and staff.. clean office, very flexible and upfront about costs. I wish I could give this place a higher rating - the establishment is just fine. My issue is with the doctor himself, Dr. Couch. For reference, I am a fairly young, fit looking woman who has been dealing with chronic allergy and asthma issues for ten years that have caused me to even change jobs and houses. My problems and concerns were brushed off in favor of tests that are known to have false negativity rates (expensive, too). Dr. Couch completely gaslit my (well researched, based on medical studies) concerns about these negative results and suggested I "leave arizona" or "rehome my dog". I have had these issues for ten years to various environmental stimuli and that's really all the advice you can offer in the year 2020?! I was trying to get treatment via immunotherapy or antibodies. I was not listened to and talked down to. Your experience may differ, but I just paid a big chunk of money to hear "leave arizona". read more

I literally got there about an hour early. I usually like to get to places about 30 minutes early. But since I was somewhat far away and I don't take the freeway, I did a really bad estimation on when I was supposed to leave from school to make sure I get there on time. My appointment time was at 3:30pm but was not able to meet with Dr. Schubert until like 3:45pm. Dr. Schubert was very nice. Then, I had to wait again because I needed to take the allergy tests and was waiting for his nurse. The nurse was not even gentle at all and was somewhat rude. She did not even wait full 10~15 minutes before reading the test (one where they inject you like 10 times with 10 different needles). read more

After dealing with a few different allergy tests and getting no real results or options, both my husband and myself made appointments. Dr. Schubert is a wonderful, very knowledgeable doctor with great bedside manner. He sat down and did an old fashioned history and really took the time to find out what was going on with our symptoms. When they did the testing, it was much more detailed and accurate than the quick kits that our primary care had used. They did some additional testing that revealed my husband is allergic to cats. This explained a lot as we have 2 cats, one who would love all over him every morning. With our allergies being as severe as they are, we started the allergy shot regimen, and our first 2 visits were a breeze. While the shots probably aren't helping yet, the new allergy medicines have made us both feel much better. I would highly recommend anyone who thinks they might have seasonal allergies or asthma to check out this office. read more

Had my annual with Dr. Couch last month and was retested today. I reacted to nothing in the pick tests, but did in the serum injected tests. This led Dr. C to add a tree, which I tested negative to, to my current mix. I'll get shots of that one twice a week for 4 months to catch up to the maintenance dose of the other allergens I receive in my every 2 weeks doses. So pleased for a nice logical solution to why I still react during tree season! Pleasant visit, road ahead well explained, and very happy with my visits.q read more
