Patients should be aware of this clinic's billing practice before signing their credit card authorization form. The form allows them to automatically charge whatever insurance does not cover directly to the card on file. In our case, we never received a bill or invoice from the clinic before the charge appeared on our card. When we called to ask about it, we were told they rely on the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from insurance as the "notice" and that they do not send bills before charging the card. This was surprising because the EOB itself clearly states to wait for a bill from the provider before paying. Most medical practices send a statement or invoice first so patients can review the charges. It also seems risky to rely solely on insurance EOBs as notification, since insurance companies are not always timely with mailing them and mail can easily be delayed or lost. Interestingly, the clinic was able to send an email thanking us for the payment after the charge was processed, but no communication or billing statement beforehand. Additionally, when I called to ask about the charge, the staff discussed my husband's billing information with me without verifying who I was. I personally do have permission from my husband to discuss his account, but they never asked for my name or confirmed that authorization, which raises concerns about how patient information is being verified before it's shared. While this may technically be allowed under their authorization form, it can still be very unexpected for patients who assume they will receive a bill from the provider before any charge is processed. I would recommend carefully reviewing their financial agreement and monitoring your insurance EOBs closely if you choose to be seen here. read more

My doctor is fine. Their accounting is MAFIA!!!! They keep charging my credit card that I used for copay, for God knows what - no explanation. And what's even worse - I have not been there for months and they just took $46+ for no services rendered. Oh, an my insurance covers it - the only charge should be $25 copay. THIEVES!!!! I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience with this office's billing department. I'm someone who pays my medical bills promptly and always asks about balances at my visits. For months, I was told there was no balance. Then, out of the blue, I received a voicemail from someone named Shane in billing, claiming I had an outstanding balance and would not be able to receive further allergy shots until it was paid. The last bill I ever received by email was on July 1st for $8.66--not exactly an "overdue" or "serious" amount. I tried for weeks to get a copy of this supposed bill from Shane, leaving multiple messages, but never received one. The only way I finally got a bill sent to me was by calling the front desk directly, where thankfully a staff member actually took the time to help. I even confirmed that paying the bill in person at my next visit was perfectly fine. Despite this, I was called again by Shane, being told I had to pay before my visit or else my appointment would be canceled. I don't know why it matters whether I pay the day before or the day of my appointment if I've already confirmed I would pay. This comes across as distrustful, unprofessional, and frankly unfair to patients. I've never heard of a doctor's office canceling appointments over such a small balance--it feels punitive and even discriminatory toward patients who may be struggling financially. While I am not in that position, it makes me wonder how patients with larger balances are treated. The medical care here may be fine, but the billing department is disorganized, unhelpful, and unnecessarily hostile in their communication. Patients deserve better. read more

I was hesitant to begin allergy shots. My primary recommended this place, and I have to say it's been a fairly painless experience. Once they figure out what you are allergic to, they formulate your shot. The folks who inject you are all pleasant and methodical. You get your shot once a week and hang out for a half hour to make sure you are ok. The wifi in the waiting room stinks--a sore spot for me, as I have my own business. So, take away a half star. Some people have complained about billing. If I run into this problem, I will amend my review. Other than that, it has been great. read more

I went to this facility to get a treatment for my allergies. After being poked 82 time to determine what my allergies were I then told them my primary insurance was Medicare Cigna. I was accepted for that insurance. I then informed them that my secondary was Ahccces. Which stand s for Arizona health care cost containment system. They then called billing and I was told they do not take that secondary insurance. And because I have possession of this card I am not welcome to return to their establishment because of legal issues. I then went home and contacted Ahccces and found out the card I have was cancelled in Febuary. Allergy Asthma Clinic never ran the secondary to discover it was cancelled. They just refused treatment without investigation. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. I would recommend half a star. read more

I saw Dr Leyko concerning a severe, but unkown reason for a allergic reaction. I had seen another Dr previously, and he came up with 'seasonal allergies'. Do you want to get tested and start shots. I said NO. That was the end of that visit. So, I researched and found Dr Leyko. He asked questions (!) took notes (!) and decided to have bloodwork done. He wanted to rule out auto immune diseases. He told me what to do during this time, how to handle that my face was still having reactions. He gave me tools to work with, and let me know to call him immediately if anything got worse of this, he was also very reassuring. I then saw him a month later. I did the allergy testing, and it showed no allergies. They do it on your arms so you can actually see the results. Unlike the dr 30 years ago, and 10 years ago who, tested on my back, and had me start shots. $$$ We went over all my test results and came up with an action plan. I need a dr who listens, is thorough and can think outside the box. I cannot say enough how happy and lucky I am to have found him. He's great! read more

The nurses are really friendly and more importantly, they have a great selection of trashy gossip magazines to pass the time. read more

Sherri Crespin was extremely thorough and compassionate when talking to me about my history on my breaking out with a rash, and was very concern about how upset. distress agitate I was when I came in for the 1ST appointment. she trie to figure out what caused rash gave me a prescription for Hgdroxyzine pills. for my anxiety and Triamcinolone Cream. for my rash. and made an appointment to come back in a few days. to take a testing process. which was an allergy patch test list of allergens. so she gave me a wonderful list of products and foods to avoid. I feel like I am finally going to get some solid results and the treatment that I have been searching for with my health. at first I was skeptical because she was a practitioner and a woman I never had a woman doctor but I am thankful to have met Her she made me fill so extremely comfortable and happy that I had someone who was very concern about how to make me feel better about my rash and her compassionate and caring way she makes you feel so good the rash is gone a fell better than the other practitioners that I have seen I would recommend the Allergy Asthma Clinic, especially Sherri Crespin. I have been coming here for two years since my allergies started going berserk. I have had allergies all my life but was always able to control them with OTC medicine. Two years, the OTC medicine wasn't working and I had enough. This office ran breathing and allergy tests and were able to tell me what I was allergic to. I went on weekly allergy shots for the first year and then bi-weekly allergy shots during this last year (2nd). I had always been intensely allergic to cats but knew the shots were working when I could be in homes with cats and barely a twinge in my nose. The office employees are friendly and the good ol' doc is great. My only caveat to this place is the hours. The allergy clinic side is only open 3 days a week (M, W, F). Since most holidays occur on a Monday or Friday, that leaves only them open two days a week during a holiday week. Other than that, I think this place is great! read more

Although I've had terrible allergies my whole life, I never sought treatment. It wasn't until I had my first asthma attack that I went to the Allergy Asthma Clinic. I was breathing at less than 50% capacity at the time so Dr. Leyko made that a priority. After my asthma was under control, I began allergy shots. My life has improved in every way (eating, sleeping, talking, and everything else that had been previously hindered by the inability to breathe through my nose). The office is clean and pleasant, the team is friendly, and the care is superb. I typically go in once a week for allergy shots, but even when I miss a week, 2 weeks, or more, the office does not badger me to come in (my nose is another story). After two years, I've gone from asthma attack to multiple inhalers to a maintenance inhaler and now just to an emergency inhaler, if I should ever need it. I would recommend the Allergy Asthma Clinic (especially Dr. Leyko!) to my friends, family, and anyone looking to improve their quality of life in regards to allergies. read more

It's probably about time I write a review about this allergy and asthma clinic. A very long time ago, there used to be Dr. Edward Chu who worked in this clinic. He was my primary asthma/allergy doctor for several years until his retirement (I didn't take it well). When Dr. Chu left the clinic, I was reluctant to establish a patient-doctor relationship with any other. But I did. Dr. Leyko has been my doctor now for probably 7 yrs, give or take. He insisted that I start on my allergy shots again and has on numerous times, treated me successfully from sinus infections, pneumonia, and bronchitis. Now that I'm regulated on shots, my infections are few if any. Dr. Leyko is very professional, compassionate, and a great listener. However, one of the best things about Dr. Leyko is that he is in the know about every new asthma or allergy medication. He never settles for one or two stand-by medications to cure something. It's definitely apparent that he researches new and upcoming drugs and knows all the precautions and he's honest about what he likes and doesn't like if you ask him about a medication that you think you should try. I can definitely appreciate a doctor who isn't stuck in a 19th century mind set. Dr. Leyko will be my primary asthma/allergy doctor until he retires (and I won't take it well). read more

I had polyp surgery 20 years ago.... well now living in az I have had more and more issues with allergies...I finally got the courage to go here and I am on 3 weeks now of shots.......WHAT AN AMAZING change for me......the shots are working and the doctor and staff made me feel so comfortable as I HATE NEEDLES.............. finally relief.......90% percent better so far........
