Service was elusive- half of the drinks arrived, then half of the entrees, then an appetizer then the rest of the appetizer then the rest of the drinks. We had to get half of our own utensils. Alley's Alehouse is the restaurant inside Pinheads. It has a huge bar, a stage, TVs showing sports and things, and lots of tables and booths. We did not make a reservation and were able to get a table at 5 p.m. on a Saturday, but we were one of the lucky ones. Alley's Alehouse gets packed! Reservations are highly recommended. We all got burgers of some sort (a Drunken Pig burger, a pork tenderloin, kids' cheeseburgers). They all came with fries. The fries here are the kind I really like: kind of soggy and mealy -- fries that just drop dead and give up when you try to dunk them in ketchup. Considering how busy they were, the service was amazing and amazingly fast. We waited maybe 15 minutes for our food, but our drinks (local beer pulled from the tap and sodas) were delivered almost immediately. I feel like most people who eat at Alley's Alehouse are probably eating here because they are also bowling and/or visiting the arcade. But I would totally visit this restaurant just to eat! Fun atmosphere and we love playing music trivia on Friday nights but the food & drinks are hit or miss. On our last visit we enjoyed the nachos which were wonderful and a beer (okay but a little pricey). The most recent visit included an amazing expresso martini and a pretty sad sweet & spicy - super small premade drink. The loaded baked potato is excellent. A group of friends and I went to Alley's Alehouse for music bingo! This is a hugely popular event that takes place most Friday nights from 7-9 PM, so reservations are a MUST! Every table was filled with customers. Music bingo allows attendees of all ages, so this is a perfect evening activity for families, friend groups, and even company outings. The DJ was fantastic, he was engaging, cracked jokes that made the whole restaurant laugh, and played themed music whenever someone won a bingo. This was a 5-star experience! As for the food, I would rate everything in the 3-star range. I ordered a Smash Burger, and it was unfortunately overcooked to the point where the meat was black and the bun was charred. I could only eat half of it. The fries were OK, not too greasy or salty, but nothing special. My friend ordered a shrimp taco, and she enjoyed the guacamole topping but was not a fan of the hot sauce that came on the side. My other friend ordered a strawberry milkshake, which was delicious but very small for the $7 that she payed for it. I understand it was a very busy night, but our service was very slow and it took 20 minutes to get our checks back after we paid. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very retro-chic, with concert posters plastered on the walls and leather couches to sit on. We had a birthday dinner to celebrate and decided to go to Alley's. We had visited Pinheads before and knew the food was good and wanted to show the others what a fun facility it is especially since everyone has grands and might want to bring them some time. We got seated right away and were served by Tommi who was friendly and helpful with menu items. We started with pretzel sticks and wings as shareable appetizers. Both were delicious. Be sure to try the Mamisake flavored wings. They were a favorite of everyone. I went with pizza for my entree and had the flyin Hawaiian pizza. It's a bit spicy but very tasty and plentiful. It has Thai sauce, ham, bacon, pineapple and peppadew peppers. I had enough left for dinner tonight and would for sure order it again. The noise level was fairly quiet as it was lunch time and a school day. Last visit we made was a Saturday and super full of families. read more

Came here for Trivia night on Wednesdays which is a blast. Food is always good and service is great. Our waitress, Khareen, was awesome and very attentive. Even through it was a busy night as made sure our drinks were full and our food was delivered hot. Trivia night is a fun. Starting with positives.. 1. Music Bingo is so much fun! 2. Atmosphere is great. Now for the negatives... We had a party of 6 and a reservation for 6:30p. Alcoholic beverages took about 45 minutes to come out. We ordered a salad, "chubs" (pizza rolls), a medium BBQ Chicken pizza, and two hamburgers. Our food didn't arrive until 8:25p, pizza still wasn't out by then. We asked our server about the pizza and shared our wait time with her, turns out our pizza was waiting under the warming lamp for over an hour and her explanation for why it didn't come out was "the kitchen lost the ticket." When we asked for the pizza to be taken off the bill, she and the manager had a five minute conversation about whether or not to take it off- not to mention, the hamburgers that came out were barely warm. Staff is friendly enough, but Alleys has some pretty serious food issues. Would come back, but would only drink at the bar. read more

This is close for me and service is quick. I've had the strawberry fields salad multiple times now. I really enjoy it with the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It may have some hidden sugar with the toppings used. I'll pay more attn next time. They have a lot of beers on tap and they allow you to sample. I went with Blake's grand cherry; quite refreshing. We were attending something nearby and was recommended to try this spot inside Pinheads. The decor was very nice and there was a lively crowd on the patio watching the beach volleyball courts in play despite the rain. A fine select if craft beer. Our vegan was happy with the menu selections. Our child enjoyed his kids meal. I had a delicious lemon orzo soup and several of us enjoyed the "chubs" which were a pizza roll stuffed with your choice and your choice of sauce. They are delicious. Another had a chicken street taco and another the tenderloin. Service was pretty good until the trivia crowd came in and from then on we had to wave someone down for boxes, bill etc. Server did not split the check between the 2 credit cards so had to re do that and not sure it still is right. Stopped in here for a quick bite on my way home from work, I've been to pinheads many times but never ate at Alleys so I decided to give it a shot. I was greeted and sat down pretty quick but it took my server a little more time than I liked to come to my table, once she did the service was fine, and the food came out pretty quick. Portions were good and I was happy with my meal. What a surprise! I've never had such good food at a bowling alley. In fact, its pretty good for any restaurant. My first visit was just for lunch and I really enjoyed it (I don't recall what I had). Tonight we came back for dinner and brought my parents. We had the medium "Dude" pizza and really liked it. The edge crust was a bit thicker than I would like, but it was so airy/fluffy that it worked. The garlic butter brushed over it was really nice. Even the side salads were impressive. We really didn't know what to expect from a bowling alley restaurant. We had passed this place many times & gone in by. Boy, were we surprised! They have a chef who prepares an amazingly diverse menu. We will come back to try more than the Wednesday night ribeye special. We have a new favorite for Wednesday night! The ribeye special ($9) was terrific. So many places don't understand rare steak and cook it to medium rare. Not this chef. This cut was perfect & presentation was exquisite. The salad was fresh and larger than expected with their own twist in blue cheese dressing. Loved it. This place has great service... the manager even checked in on us. They are large enough to handle parties of 30+ and all ages. The arcade kept our grandson busy. I almost forgot to tell you.... the noise from the bowling alley was totally absent. The patio seating very comfortable & watching the clubs on the 4 volleyball ball courts was fun to watch. Let those 20 somethings play! We will come ba 5/8/19: We came back tonight and had to move this back to 3 stars. Disappointed. This is probably the 4th visit since our original visit. Until now each time service and food has been extraordinary. Not sure why this visit was such a let down. We were able to sit on the patio to watch the kids play volleyball and they were busy. There only was one waitress we saw on patio & she hustled, however serving so many appropriately was not possible. That we could understand, however then the steaks came. The steaks were overdone eats not the ribeye cut we have come to enjoy. The mashed potatoes came and these looked more like formed Institutional portions. Each exactly like one another. Alley's Alehouse, next to Pinheads, is a wonderful huge bar and entertainment area with fireplaces and TV'S at all different angles. It is a wonderful place to watch sports and hang out with friends. The craft beer menu is excellent and the variety of food on the menu is superb. The servers are a hoot and very accommodating to the customers. My simple burger was very good, and the wings my friend ordered was great, but he said a couple of the wings may have been undercooked. I tasted one of the wings and it was good. It did not taste undercooked to me. They do have drink specials throughout the week which are very worthwhile and can save you money. Alley's is a great bar and would recommend this place to all of my friends. You will get your money's worth at Alley's! read more

It's not a bowling alley it's my go-to favorite spot for food and craft beer; there are more than 65 beers on tap. Alex the bartender/ mixologist is a delight. He creates seasonal signature cocktails steeped in love. People love the tenderloin, it's huge. My favorite is The Big Cheese. It starts with grilled Gouda (just the cheese) combined with a generous helping of crispy bacon and a smear of house made raspberry compote then the whole sandwich is grilled to perfection. If I'm just judging the food and not the atmosphere, it's only a four. Everything seemed like it was too much. Too much breading on the pickles, too much cheese on the pizza, too much slaw on the chicken sandwich. The staff was friendly, courteous and more than helpful. Our pizza did go out to the wrong table and they comped us half on it. They Beer was cold. If your looking for a place to take the kids so you can enjoy the game or company with your wife I totally recommend coming here. They can enjoy the arcade or bowling while you have drinks and conversation. Will cost you more out of pocket, but as any parent will attest, it's worth the silence sometimes. I promise that I don't mean this as a backward slap in the face, but do you ever go to a restaurant with really low expectations? That's how I felt about Alley's Alehouse, but I found myself at home alone tonight and didn't feel like cooking or eating fast food. I also didn't want to drive very far, so I decided to go to Alley's because it's close. I haven't been here yet, despite living nearby since it opened. All I wanted was a cold craft beer and a quick bite to eat, so this fit the bill. I decided to keep it simple with a one chicken and one beef street taco, and I must admit that both tacos totally hit the spot! Okay, so maybe it was just one of those times when you have low expectations and are pleasantly surprised, but in this case, I honestly believe the street tacos were just that awesome! I know Mexican food well, and these were great street tacos. To top it off they had a raspy-voiced folk singer that was pretty good. Terrible experience tonight at Alley's. Our server was terrible, she may have been new... who knows!! First my husband and I ordered Moscow Mules and she asked us how to spell Moscow. We let that go. We ordered an appetizer, then she disappeared forever, we began to wonder if we would ever have the opportunity to order. Finally, we were able to order. My husband ordered Fish and Chips and added a side salad to his dinner. They brought his salad, it was huge. We asked the food expediter, if that was supposed to be a. Side salad. He not seem to know anything he had delivered. He sent the server back over. She said that she had ordered the side salad, my husband asked how much the salad was. She said $9.00, NOT a side salad. She then proceeded to argue with him about what he ordered. I then asked about my order of filet, and where my side salad was, that came with my filet. She said I did not orders filet, that I ordered a pizza. I said no, I ordered a filet, medium, with baked potato & salad with blue cheese... when I ordered, she showed me the handheld, asking if that was what I wanted... all the handheld said was medium, so I thought she was confirming the temperature that I wanted my steak. Apparently, she misunderstood my order completely! The manager came over, not one person apologized for the series of mistakes. He just kept smiling and arguing with my husband. We got up and left, disgusted with the entire situation. We will NEVER be back! Terrible experience. We left and ate at Buffalo Wild Wings, had phenomenal service! A nice little restaurant/bar tucked into the Pinheads entertainment complex. It looks like they have some great potential outdoor seating for the warmer months, though I obviously didn't check that out at my visit. The vibe here is good - dark but not too dark. Lots of tables and some booths. My carnivorous friends raved about the food here, but I was disappointed as a vegan to have very few options available. They didn't have a veggie burger available (although the server sighed and said "Oh, I wish!" when I asked about it), and most of the menu items were really heavy on the meat and cheese. I could have had chips and salsa or a soft pretzel hold the cheese, but I opted for a side of french fries (which was huge - about the size of a large dinner plate and piled high!) and steamed edamame with spicy sriracha salt. read more

Alley's Alehouse is connected to Pinheads Bowling and replaces what used to be Louie's Bar & Restaurant. New menu includes dishes featuring Bier Brewery (Kolsh Queso and Weizengoot & Kolsh 10 hour braised meats). There is even a challenge on the menu. Here you will find a burger called the Scorpion Burger stating it will "Melt Your Face." A waiver must be signed before eating. If you can eat the entire burger & fries you take home a t-shirt, 2 free games of bowling, and a jar of Alley's homemade Scorpion Pepper Jam. Yes, you too can eat through seven layers of hell just like Alice Cooper. Tonight my husband and I were both craving a burger so I went with the Drunken Goat Cheese Burger (Olive Tapenade, goat cheese, garlic mayo, arugula, red onion, lettuce, tomato) and my husband went with the Classic. Both burgers were thick and juicy using a blend of Black Angus Chuck & Short Rib. The bun was soft and fresh. The hand-cut fries were very good and well seasoned. No ketchup necessary. Notes: *Nice tap selection of local and national beers: Bier Brewery, Sun King, Dogfish Head, 3 Floyds, Goose Island, Triton, Scarlet Lane, etc. Make sure you ask for a drink menu. Tiki bar selections are limited. Inside bar has a larger selection. *Seat yourself there isn't a hostess *Come as you are - bikini, gym clothes, tube top, mini skirt, mu-mu, kimono - you can sit at the tiki bar and play beach volleyball so clothing seems optional. *Live Music played outside *Service was a bit slow but our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful once we managed to flag her down. 5 stars for accommodating everyone! We've been here multiple times and the typical bar food is always good! This was a travel home day for us and we wanted an easy dinner out. We drove in and the parking lot was packed! Maybe a lot of bowlers tonight.... no, it was bingo night in the restaurant. Ughh! The place was packed and loud. I checked in with the hostess stand and she directed me to bar in the game room. Ughh! We just wanted a meal and didn't want to drive all over so we checked it out. It was not as loud as the bingo area even though it was tucked in the back corner of the busy game room. There are only about 10 seats around the bar. Three were already taken leaving plenty of room for us. The area is cordoned off with pub height tables on the outer rim... no kids (big or little!) were going to run in to us. We had the bartender to ourselves, great service, same menu, 2 TVs if that matters... we really lucked out! I'm sure if we had a table in the busy main room we would've had a very over worked waitress. Now I have to tell you about the food! Husband had the burger and fries - it was good. I rather like this place. There's a lot going on, from TVs to volleyball games to live music and more, there's a lot to take in. I would call the menu "upscale pub" food. Burgers, pizzas, nachos, etc, but they all seem to have some kind of a twist to them. I've had a couple of burgers I've REALLY enjoyed, and I look forward to trying even more of them. They come close to a 5 star rating, but I've found that the service can be just a bit spotty at times. Still, well above average and we visit fairly often. read more
