Very questionable accounting practices.. We hired this company to install carpet into a small area of our home. It was the last project we budgeted for last year. We paid the deposit. The crew came and did a great job. We signed off at the completion and from what we remembered paid cash. Over 6 months later we get a demand letter stating we still owed $500... and that if we did not pay up immediately we would be sent to collections. The balance we owed at the time was under $500 and they were also spelling our last name wrong in the email demand letter. My husband and I have over an 800 credit score and have always paid our bills on time. This company was not able to provide us with a copy of the last sign off paperwork. We unfortunately also did not keep it or misplaced it. We felt like we were treated with Bully tactics. What company comes back after 6 months and wrong information and demands payment? We spoke with our lawyer and he told us unfortunately it is a he said/she said situation and this bully could send us to collection despite not having any real proof. Also we were told their accountant had screwed up several other accounts. We paid it but really felt like it was extortion... So be sure to keep all paperwork when working with them! read more

Alliance Flooring was recommended to me by my realtor. I wanted something different for the master bathroom in the house I just bought. The master bath was boring--it had a tub and shower head; you know, your typical bathroom. I rarely, if ever, use a tub and wanted a tiled walk-in shower. Joel and Britton, the owners, are fantastic to work with. They'd just done a similar project in their own home, and sent me pictures. Britton came out to measure the shower area, and I met them at their showroom to pick out tile. There is A LOT of tile in there to choose from and it seems like a daunting task, but my method is to first rule out what I DON'T want. I see enough brown in Arizona and did not want a brown bathroom too. I wanted something grey and white, and some crazy pop of color for accent. I also knew I wanted a recessed niche in the wall to hold my bazillion girly products in the shower. With that in mind, it actually didn't take too long to pick out tile. I saw something in a beige-ish color and said, "This pattern, but not brown...if only this was grey!" Lo and behold, Britton recalled some new tile that arrived that morning and showed it to me--perfect! Next it was on to choosing accent tile. I wanted a vertical stripe at the front of the shower from the ceiling to the floor, and that same accent tile on the backsplash of the niche. Joel and Britton had talked me into a little bench in the shower too (smart!) so the accent would go there as well. Once I saw this beautiful dark blue glass mosaic tile, I knew that was it. Britton was able to find some floor tile to match perfectly. That tile has to be smaller so it can slope to the drain. They finished the entire shower, from demolition to completion in about six days. They even recommended a plumber (this is my first house!) and a guy to do the glass blocks that I wanted. They are great folks to work with, and I'm so happy with the shower. I strongly recommend Alliance Flooring for tile work. They also do tile flooring and carpet as well. When I need new floor tile or carpet, I'll be calling them for that too! If you need work like this done, give them a call. read more

My wife and I had been shopping for a new floor in our living room. I read great things about Alliance so I made an appointment to meet with them at the office in Chandler. Jay greeted us (with COVID-19 measures in place) he showed us a number of different carpet samples that fit our design ideas. After selecting a few we liked Jay got us a quote that same day. Normally I have a firm policy to get three estimates on any project, but after working with Jay I felt comfortable with buying the carpet,pad and installation later that same day. We had the flooring installed a week later. They gave me several days and times to choose from. Alliance confirmed the appointment the day before, and the installation team called me 30 minutes before they arrived. The installation team was very professional. I hired Alliance Flooring to do tile demo and install new tile that I had purchased. The demo was a disaster!! After the demo, I informed them that I thought the demo was done improperly. The owner Joel said, "he was not familiar with the demo crew that he sent". So I guess he subs the work out to anyone. The demo crew destroyed my floor requiring thousands of dollars to level and repair their work. And months later I am still cleaning tile pieces all over my house. Window frames, shelves, etc.. We were in the process of remodeling the entire home and had numerous new qoutes for tile installation and floor repair. Had approximately 8-10 either contractors or flooring companies within our home during the process and all of them indicated that the demo was done improperly. When I asked Joel to come take a look at the demo he never did. Instead he indicated that he was too busy to complete my project. I had personally known Joel for years and was suprised he would do something like this. If he would do this to someone that he knows personally, I would think again before hiring this company. My rating is due to the overall experience rather than work quality. You'll see why. I dealt with one person whose first name is Ginger, but who has three different last names - one on her business card, another as her email 'from name', and yet another in her email signature. Make of that what you will. Ginger came to the house, took measurements, and was prompt with an estimate the next day. Before work could start, half the cost was required to be paid up front. We scheduled the work for a Thurs and Fri. On Thurs morning, Ginger called saying the installer's truck had a flat, no spare, and no money for a new one. She said she'd figure something out and call back within the hour. Several hours passed, so I called her. No answer. She called back after 1:00 PM saying she was in a funeral all morning. I felt bad. Knowing what I know now, I feel differently. Her being at a funeral was none of my business. Her sharing it was an emotional manipulation. She said no one was going to make it out. She confirmed that the sole barrier was a flat tire. If this happens on my watch, I buy the new tire and subtract the cost of it from my employee's paychecks. Or, I simply eat the cost myself. I don't casually allow my customer to be inconvenienced due to no fault of their own. I'm not some intolerant jerk. Mistakes happen, life happens, things aren't always smooth. I'm an understanding person. What bothered me about the experience was Ginger's refusal to take responsibility for making things right. This was just the tip of the iceberg. The work was rescheduled for Fri and Sat. I mentioned to her that I had used PTO to be home while the job was being done and that compensation was in order. She angrily cut me off to tell me what a rough day she was having and quickly ended the call. The next day, I got to know the installer a bit because he kept asking to borrow tools - a screwdriver, a hammer, a drill bit, etc. Turns out he doesn't even work for Alliance and he's never met Ginger. She had called someone who runs another company and asked if one of his workers was available to come do the job that Alliance was not prepared to do. The guy ends up getting a slab of backerboard stuck on the other side of the door to the toilet area, wedging it shut so he can't get in. I provided several items - an umbrella, a tire iron, a theracane, a piece of pipe - trying to help him get something underneath the door to unwedge it. By the end of the day, he had made very little progress on the job itself. On Sat, he and another guy spent half the day unwedging the backerboard. By the end of the day, the job was still not done. This is when I started to become impatient and push for answers. Turns out this new guy is just a friend of the first guy, and he doesn't work for the same company, or for Alliance. It occurs to me that Ginger has created a situation where two men are in our home who Ginger has never even met, let alone vetted. No one came on Sun, despite a power drill having been left in the hallway. That evening a man named Craig came over from yet another company. He praised Ginger and bad-mouthed the lowly installers. When he walked up the stairs, he saw the power drill sitting on the floor and asked, "Is that theirs?" When I told him they had left it behind, he replied, "I'll be taking that." See, Craig is a guy who walks into your home and immediately begins laying claim to items that aren't even his. Considering I had wasted PTO on this, an entire weekend was now sacrificed, and two of our three bathrooms were unusable, I still felt compensation was in order. Ginger said she would have to talk to the owner about it and get back to me. She asked for patience and time. She asked for it repeatedly. By Tue morning the job was completed. I'd call it a rush job. Considering the circumstances, what else could be expected? Oddly, Craig and his partner left without saying a word. No parting instructions, no courtesy walk-through to show the finished work. Spare materials and scraps were simply left right outside the front door. I called him to ask about this. He then provided instructions as if it was he who had called me. I told him it is basic customer service etiquette to do this in person before leaving, and asked if he could come back to clean up his mess. You can see why work quality is not even relevant for the review. Consider this: At no point did a single Alliance Flooring employee perform any of the tile work during the course of this entire job - a job that Alliance Flooring was hired to do. Instead, completely unvetted strangers and an entitled thief were sent into our home. Weeks later we were sent some mail containing a gift card to Outback Steakhouse. Imagine if someone cost you money, and then compensated you with a fraction of what they cost you, and then forced you to spend that compensation with a business you don't frequent at all and have no interest in. We had minor issues with miscommunication before and during the installation, however the real issues started when 7 months after the installation we started getting holes in our grout. At first there were only a couple of small holes, but as time passed more and more wholes started appearing in the grout lines. We have contacted Alliance 4 times with no response from them, so we are contacting the better business bureau for resolution. read more

Keep in mind that I am a tenant that has lived in this house for over 9 years and agreed to the $200 increase of rent with new carpet install (carpet is the original since the house was built in 2004) If I could give this company a -5 I would. We had use them 2 years ago for our downstairs carpet and had no problem with them. Joel the father was very friendly and easy to work with with that install. I had recommended them to my sister who had carpet put In her house by them before selling her home of 8 years.... So here we are Monday 11/18/2019, 2 years later and at the beginning of get the quote or install Jennifer and Davis were very friendly and had no issues. When it came to the install day of we were told it's a 2 day job and we had done everything we were told to do(moving everything on one side of the house and the 2nd day to move everything to the other side of the house) When the subcontractors showed up that's not what was communicated with them and told us that it all had to be done in one day as they had another job. I explained to them that we were told it's was a 2 day job and showed the text message from Davis to the installers Where he told us it would be a 2 day job and that we had moved our furniture in our loft and that would be a second day job. Davis told them he didn't care and the job needed to be that day and sent 2 more guys out to help. They stared to roll out the carpet on the driveway and I notice it wasn't the same carpet as what was ordered and that it was supposedly ordered the same one we had put in 2 years ago and that they match. I called to have Davis or Joel to come out to the site and come see this Davis refuses too and I sent him pictures of the 2 different color. The installers started to lay down the new carpet as they were trying to convince me that it was the same color carpet! Nope not the same 2 tone different in color. They didn't have enough carpet in the end to finishes the job. They sent someone else to come out on the next day to finish the job and they still don't have the right cut of carpet and still couldn't finish the job it is now day 3 and still don't have the job done. I have called Jenifer and texts Davis but they will not return our calls and has sent a text to our property manager telling her that I can no longer call them or speak with them and will schedule the new install with her and not to speak to them. I have taken time off of work to have this done and now need to rearrange my schedule because they can't get get the measurements right and still no carpet in the loft and different color! I can't believe how Rude this company has been and never once apologize for their mess up and never came out to look and see that the carpets are different colors. I am a mother of 5 kids with one who has health issues and really bad Asthma who can't even be in the house when they do the install. I would never recommend this company to anyone ever. Also the installers / subcontractors they use are very friendly and sweet. They kept apologizing for the mistakes that Davis and Jennifer have done and they did do a great job on the work they have got done so far but still waiting for the other area to get done! read more

Alliance just completed carpeting my entire home. I don't think I could be any happier if I tried. From the Sales rep Britton to the Office manager Jennifer and the 2 installers Hector and Augustine who knocked it out of the ball park, everyone I dealt with was super nice and super professional. Hector and Augustine were amazing to watch. Obviously they are very experienced and very skilled. They came in and got right to moving all of my furniture. It was like watching a LIVE game of Tetris. Once the furniture was out of the way they had my old carpeting and padding up and out in less than 10 minutes and prepped the flooring for new padding and carpet by scrubbing and then deodorizing the surface. Then they laid the new padding and new carpet like artists not missing a beat! They put back all of the furniture exactly how it was before they started, thoroughly cleaned up and were on their way. I think that from start to finish they were here less than 4 hours. I have 100 yards of beautiful quality carpeting under my feet BOOM!
