Like every other review says, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!! My items were picked up on in July 19th and were delivered on SEPTEMBER 15th. The company told me my things would be picked from Columbus and driven down to Austin and would be put in a storage facility until I was ready for the delivery. I requested for my items to be dropped off on July 29th and they told me that my items were still in Columbus and it's hidden in the contract that they have 21 business days to deliver your stuff. Customer service is absolutely horrible and will not call back. They also have a list of hidden of fees such as $125 for living in an apartment with an elevator. I am taking the time to submit this review in hopes that I will save someone from an experience like I had with Alliance Movers. My girlfriend, Lex, and I used Alliance Movers to move some of our belongings from NC to NV. When the movers arrived at our home they immediately changed the amount we owed them to move our things. They blamed one of their employees, and said he shouldn't have quoted us that price. Lex and I were due in Vegas so our hands were tied and I didn't have any other option but to pay them the higher price. This is only the beginning. The company told us our things would be delivered in NV between 10-14 days. 15 days later we had zero confirmation that our things had even left NC. The customer service representative, Nancy, had little to no info and handled our move with little to no care. Long after we were told our stuff would arrive a truck finally came. This is where things got really bad. You see, not all of our items made it. I was totally heartbroken to find out some of my precious musical instruments were not on the truck. My Martin Acoustic Guitar, Gibson Dobro, and Fender Hot Rod Deville 212 Amplifier were somehow misplaced. I contacted Nancy about this situation several times and she literally didn't even apologize or even seem apologetic that her company had negligently handled our move. I have filed a claim with their insurance, submitted police reports, and now I am making sure that the public knows how this company operates. I am just sickened that my instruments are gone. I paid thousands to make this move and lost thousands more from my items being lost or stolen. Please reconsider if you are considering using this company. I hired Alliance thinking I was hiring tip movers. It was anything but that. The guy that contracted me quit and supposedly they no longer had my info about what was in my storage unit so I was charged more for the move. This is abfly by night company that shows up in rental trucks with people hired off Craig's list. They handled my boxes in a very rough manner and made a huge mess out of my walls and all stairs are dented in 2 places from the heavy hand truck being rolled up and down the stairs despite me asking over and over if it was safe to do that. I was told yes it is and I have no recourse now. I had expensive Trimaco floor protection down plus had some Masonite boards available for heavy use. They originally tried to send just one man with a truck until I said no let's wait until you have another person to move my furniture. All in all they sub out the work to sub par people they find on Craig's list. These are not the bonded and insured employees I thought I was getting. The absolute worst moving company EVER!!! About 85% of our items were damaged, the company didn't even apologize. Damien was the main mover, we didn't even have 1 piece of tissue paper or plastic wrapping or anything. All of our artwork was wrapped in blankets and most of it damaged. Glass table tops were also wrapped in blankets and came shattered and broken... Larry was the guy that we spoke to to book the movers and he assured me they were a white glove service which was an absolute LIE. There was nothing white glove about this company. I would rate "no stars" if I could. Begin with the estimate. Underestimated is an understatement ..my shipment was thousands over their estimate!!! Showed up on moving day and tell me its 10k vs 4K..crooks! Was so difficult to get them to confirm date and time for pick up. Gave me a 4 day window..how do you plan a move around that??? I had to keep calling and literally begging for a delivery date and time- would not commit basically when we get there we get there...I needed to get permission and schedule the elevator for my condo building. They or course turn up extremely late ..I'm completely stressed out ..again and we just make the cut off. Damage - gave me absolutely a ridiculous amount for my items that were trashed or damaged. Then - during delivery they damaged one of the townhomes - they were completely non compliant in the process for the claim - wouldn't return phone calls, not being forthcoming with information. Avoid this company at all costs. I hired alliance to move me from Florida to Maryland. The sales guy Gerard P quoted me a one price. Days prior to move he had the wrong amount of items listed and had to redo the inventory sheet which I never received a copy of. On the move day the guys who showed up to pack the truck had issues and I had to pay an additional charge $2000 On the day my belongings arrived, I was met with paying before unloading not only did my original quoted price but had to pay a $75 fee for having an elevator and another $125 to walk from the elevator to my apartment. WTF. when my boxes came off the truck they were trashed. I was informed that they changed trucks prior to my move meaning my stuff that was loaded on the original truck got moved. I also paid $100 per wardrobe box for my closets and they just threw my clothing in the box not even hung up. I could have saved my money and did it myself. All in all total cost was $5500. I'm still missing items that I haven't been able to find. I've reached out to Gerard several times and have given up, no one ever returns my calls. They got their money and are not bothered. Onsite quoted with pictures of inventory Alliance quoted us a 2 truck flat fee with 6-8 man crew for out of state move. Once they had my stuff they pushed back our delivery date and then called me said they under quoted and would be an extra 5,500.00. The manager accused me of being dishonest and implied I added items to the move or included items that wasn't in the original quote. BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Our experience with this company was terrible and I have filed complaints with the BBB, Dept of Transportation, and State of FL Attorney Generals Office. The moving crew did not arrive until a day after the agreed upon move date. Two young men arrived in a rented Enterprise Truck with a piece of paper taped to the passenger door identifying them as Alliance Movers. They were not dressed nor carried any company identifying articles. Our quote to move a family of 4 from AL to TN was $5,093 to be loaded and delivered same day. Upon arrival the crew foreman stated he would need to do a "inspection" of the items to be moved. Upon walking through the home, which was prepared as needed since the prior day since they arrived a day late, he stated that it would take two trips thus 2 days to move all items. The first trip would cost an additional $3,000 to $4,000. The second trip would cost an additional $5,000. Altogether this would double the initial estimate provided by Alliance. I immediately rejected this and called another company to schedule the move. The Alliance Rep attempted several tactics to pressure me into continuing the move with them including: "this is just an estimate, not the final cost, it may be less once we're done", "We're here and you need to be out today right?" Thankfully we had scheduled the move 2 weeks prior to our change of possession date and were able to move with another company that provided a firm estimate, sent 2 trucks with 4 movers and completed the load and delivery of all items same day. I have disputed the deposit paid to Alliance; however, their response to us the BBB and I assume other offices remains to place blame on the customer. BEWARE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Everything started off fine until they picked up my items to be moved and collect the remaining balance of the cost for the move. I planned the move with Rich backwards to insure I would receive my custom items before Christmas as they are a gift. When they picked up them items which was on a Tuesday (12.15) no one reached out after that, I had to call a few times wait on hold for a average of 15 to 20 minutes (I have the call record to prove all my calls to them) for Nancy in dispatch to tell me they would not be loaded on the truck til the following Monday (12.21) and there still is 4-7 day waiting period for delivery. I called this morning Saturday (12.19) to ask where my items were being stored as I was trying to get them picked up by someone else and Larry the dispatcher (who was so rude) knew nothing yet he could log in my account but couldn't tell me where my items are - it's like they are being held hostage from me and they are mine. This is a absolutely nightmare, I should have gone with my 1st mind when I didn't hear back from our contact Rich. Had we known that I would have sourced another company to do the job within the time frame. Had we known that our items wouldn't be here when I 1st did the reservation I would have sourced another company to do the job within the time frame. Never again!!!! Epitome of a nightmare company. I was quoted roughly $4400 for my move. I was charged $7500 at the time of my pick up. I'll mention this was a military move and I really believe they lowballed my estimate knowing the final payment would be more because they knew they could subsidize my pay. All I can say about alliance movers is don't do it!! Personally I think they are a sketchy moving company they quoted us for $2800 and by the time we got her furniture which they held hostage it turned out to be $4800 and the two movers who were from Russia that didn't speak much English told us to give them $500 each for a tip and they would release our furniture! Then didn't even take the stuff on my contracted list because only 1 driver/mover showed up with the load to deliver. On the day of the move, no matter how much detail you give them on what you were moving, a mover will jack up the price just by glancing at your stuff. At this point, your back is against the wall. You have no choice but to accept its new, arbitrary offer because you have to move that day. The short: I would NOT recommend this company for moving -- local or long distance. This is a very competitive industry, so there are MANY companies to choose from so choose another one! PROs: the delivery guys do a great job of packing up and delivering. they took care with my furniture and were great about putting things together before they left. The long: I needed to move to another location for work. I debated whether to move some of my things or just setup shop when I got there. For this situation I thought it better to make my apartment my home. I started on a website that allows you to provide your specifics and they then inundated you with moving companies. I choose Alliance movers because the sales person I spoke with seemed honest and knowledgeable. I was WRONG (not naming names here, but for those interested DM me). Apparently the software they use is a proxy for their critical thinking. This guy kept insisting I had PLENTY of room (300 cubic ft) and could add a few more things. When the delivery guys showed up, (they contract out the actual moving), this guy started charging for all kinds of stuff including TAPE (YES THEY CHANGED ME FOR TAPE!!) he also told me what I had EXCEEDED 300 cubic ft. so guess what, they charged me close to $400 HUNDRED DOLLARS MORE. I am on a tight budget and that hurt. I could go on, but one additional thing these delivery guys do is LEAVE TRASH behind. They DO NOT clean up after packing up and unpacking. read more

This rating goes to Alliance Movers at 3698 1/2 NW 16th Street, Lauderhill, FL 33311 (877-715-7304). Yes, this is a one-star rating and, yes, Alliance Movers are terrible movers and liars. But, my biggest caution to any of you reading this is their criminal behavior. When I write "criminal", I mean I have concluded they are guilty of actual, intentional fraud. We contracted Alliance Movers and, shame on me, failed to first research their horrific Yelp ratings or their solid "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. I found out too late and am now in the same boat as their other victims. Zack M., Larry, Lily M., Nancy A., and Julia (the manager) are all extremely rude. All of them lied at least once, except for perhaps Julia, who may or may not have been lying about their customer service policies. I would need for someone at their office to actually call me back to confirm that one way or the other. Highlights: - They breached their own contract by failing to arrive in their own pickup window. - They performed a bait-and-switch maneuver on me. Zack M. (the driver) said Larry didn't know what he was talking about when we originally contracted $2,900 for 300 cubic feet. He said they needed to retire Larry. Zack said we'd need to move 600 cubic feet instead, for $6,240. - They committed fraud by charging me to move 600 cubic feet of household goods, which I later measured to only be 185 cubic feet total. - Larry, Zack M., and Lily M. lied and breached the contract by promising me a special TV shipping box. Zack M. (the driver) refused to honor the contract, even when Lily M. (a manager) told him over the phone he would. Instead, he wrapped our large flatscreen television in a blanket. The TV was, of course, smashed in the shipment. When I later brought this up with Nancy A, she acknowledged they breached the contract, but refused to do anything about it. Instead, she told me to file a claim with the rest of the furniture they'd damaged or destroyed (which was nearly all of it). - They charged me a meaningless "bulky" fee for two items: a table and an armoire. Nancy A. admitted this fee did not go to any additional manpower or packaging for large items. I determined it was just an excuse to pocket an extra $600...especially since they damaged every side of the armoire and completely destroyed the table. To be fair, they did later refund $300 for the table since Zack had lied that it was a bulky item. - But, for that refund above, Nancy A. refused to put it in writing. And, in fact, she later lied and, instead, doubled-charged me an extra $600. Nancy would not answer my call to discuss, so I talked to the manager, Julia. She later told me I'd been accidentally double-charged instead of refunded. Later on, Nancy would lie yet again that "my manager gave you a Discount [sic] of $600", when, in fact, I was just trying to get her to honor the refund she'd promised in the first place. It was definitely convenient for Alliance Movers that they didn't put any of it in writing. - Alliance Movers breached their contract by refusing to re-assemble any of the furniture they'd taken apart - Alliance Movers breached their contract by refusing to place the furniture. Their contract says the first flight of stairs is supposed to be free. Instead, I have a large, damaged armoire sitting by the front door. This is further evidence of the point above that Alliance Movers takes $300 for "bulky" furniture and just pockets the money. - As I tried to discuss all these failures above, Nancy lied that she could no longer talk to me, because their contract was with my wife...even though I signed the contract and forms (my wife made the original phone call). - Of the 23 boxes they were paid to deliver, all 23 were damaged. Of those, 14 were significantly damaged. - Of the 18 pieces of furniture they were paid to deliver, 14 were either damaged, lost, or completely destroyed. - They failed to properly tag about half of my items. - Observation: After about 15 moves in my life, much of the damage to the boxes above looked to me to be intentional (I'm guessing due to the argument I had with Zack M. and Lily M.). Most box damage I've seen comes from scrapes and drops, with dinged corners or scratches. Here, the severe accordion-like damage looks to me like they were thrown and/or crushed. To date: Larry has yet to return our calls (left him three messages). Lily M. has not called me back as she promised. Nancy A. has not called me back to address the fraudulent moving charge for 600 cubic feet, their breach of contract to re-assemble furniture, their breach of contract to place the furniture for free, the breach of contract for the TV box, or their breach of contract to pick up my items in the agreed upon window. BEWARE OF ALLIANCE MOVERS - I would NOT recommend Alliance Movers. They are the worst moving company we have ever dealt with. They quoted a price for the move after reviewing everything we had to move, then when they arrived to do the move they advised the price would be $8000 MORE THAN they had quoted and advised they would not move us if we did not pay the full amount including the increased amount of $8000. Check my track record. I definitely don't give a bad review unless it's earned. So far I'm giving a one star for lack of clarity. I pretty much got charged double my initial given price (2500) because of "extra inventory". I lived in a 800 sq ft apartment. The extra inventory were normal items in my house. I don't understand their way of business. Why charge for extra items that are your standard furniture? I'll update this accordingly as it's addressed. Edit: Called their finance department to speak with the guy that took my order. He asked me initially about any "big furniture" i have. I told him and it was put on his inventory. Then later after being charged 2 extra grand m, He basically blamed me and said i misunderstood that if i don't list every single item in the house, I'm charged for it. But he never explained this. And THAT'S how they scam you. Fyi, if you plan on using alliance movers, literally make sure you list every and any single item in your residence. If not you will be charged for every single thing you have. I hope this helps people. I'm doing another edit after the furniture is delivered. Edit They brought my furniture a week later. Damaged. Worst moving experience I have ever had or heard of. Associate Devin who booked my move was completely worthless after paying for the booking. I tried to reach him when problems arouse from the pickup all the way thru the 3 week period of when my items were being held without knowing when they would finally arrive. This company sells every part of your move out to the cheapest most unprofessional groups of hoods I have come across. The first group who came to pick up immediately said my items were too big for the space I was contracted for. I was quoted for 50 up to 20 Gal bins and 35 up to 12 Gal bins. I had 2 colors of 18 Gal bins they tried to say were diff sizes and too large. I pointed out and took photos of the bins showing they were all 18 gallons large, and under not only the 20 Gal size but also only 45 total bins. Not sure how walking in and seeing them already made them "know" they were too large for the space and immediately wanted an additional $200 for more space. After several unanswered calls to Devin, I finally got thru to customer support. I sent them photos of the bins and they agreed they were within the size and quantity I had paid for. This upset the driver and he wanted to leave without putting all the items in the truck. This created another 45 minute delay until customer support told him to pickup all the items. My 3-17 day window passed without my items being delivered. Over 3 weeks I finally received a call my items would be delivered the next day. Driver called and said they were 31 minutes out. After 2 hrs they called to say they would be there in 20 minutes. Then after 30 minutes of trying to make a right turn( go forward, go back, forward, back) they were not qualified to make the turn so they said for $300 they could rent a uhaul to deliver my items. Instead they dropped off my items at the curb and I used my car to transfer the bins into my garage. Midway thru the delivery I had just picked up my items and the driver wanted a signature. I said I will sign when we are all done. When I drive the items into my garage he drove off. Still having some of my items in his truck. I called the company as well as the police to report the property as stolen. After calling dispatch for the company now handling the move they contacted the driver to return my items. When the police arrived, they also spoke to the driver to return the items to me. What a mess and joke. Do not use this company and if you hear from Devin while trying to book your move, his we handle everything and moves usually take 3-5 business days are a flat out lie and deceptions. You hear of these nightmare moving stories but having witnessed it the last month, wow, buyer be aware !!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They are a scam and will double their price the minute they arrive at your door. Their salesman, Richard, promised me that all the other negative reviews were BS and that they would take care of my family. When quoted, he asked specifically to list off all of the Large items that we had (washer/drier, safes, beds, grills, ect). He then wanted us to guess exactly how many boxes we were going to have. He quoted me $4700 for our move based on this information. The night before the movers were supposed to show, at 7pm, they sent their "lead mover" to my house to review items and start prepping. Upon arrival, knowing that we HAD to get on the road the following day, this guy tells us the cost will be $9800 dollars. He states that he has no idea why Richard would have quoted me this price and that this is the actual cost. Our items were exactly as listed in the initial bid. They had already taken a large deposit from us and now refused to give that back after I told them I would not be able to afford to use their services. This company is a scam and will lure you in with competitive pricing and then try to force you into paying way more last minute when they feel they have you trapped. They also did the exact same thing to my mother-in -law. She hired them to move along with us. All of her stuff was in a 10ftx15ft storage unit and it was full. She told them exactly that during the bid. The guy then came along and raised her price from 3k to 7k the night before. They also stole her deposit. She is on a fixed income and could not afford to hire on another company after this. Seems that is their game, they wait until the night before the move then send a guy to double their price. If you decide at that point to cancel the move, it's all good they still have your deposit for nothing now and will not be returning it. Win Win for them. We gave Alliance Movers 2 deposits that came to over $5000.00 for them to move us from Colorado to Texas. They were to supply a 53 foot trailer and 6 guys to move us. The day of the move they showed up with a tiny truck and 2 guys. When I tried to contact them they said they would come back the next day with the right truck and crew. I had informed them I had to move that day. They put me on hold for 4 hours and then hung up on me. They took our money and never did the job. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! THEY ARE A SCAM!!!!!! Let me walk you through our AWFUL experience with this company. It started with a phone call from the broker who did offer me the cheapest estimate I could find for our move from NYC to FL. He rushed me through the contract and so I verbally asked how long would this take and he said on average 5-7 days. Making me feel like our stuff would get there within a week. When I went to call to check in our stuff a few days later they said they couldn't give me the phone number of the moving company. So I waited a week later the moving company said that our stuff had been unloaded to a warehouse and would be about another week till a truck got there to take it to FL. We called and customer service person at Alliance and they were so rude. They repeatedly told us that we should have read the contract better & they only reason they're taking our call is because we were taking up space on there line. Then our price was practically doubled by the movers and we saw them throwing our items into the truck. Needly to say when it got here it was all broken. My couple thousand dollar sewing machine is in pieces and the coverage will be about $100 for it. Our TV's are broken, bookshelves, china cabinets. Then on top of that the movers were super pushy. They kept asking for help, asking how much we were going to tip. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND ENDED UP COSTING US 3X THE AMOUNT QUOTED. read more

I don't even know where to begin about Alliance movers. The beginning was good . But they raped me in the end. $1600 went to $2100 before they would give me my things . My "manager" discount in the beginning was quickly changed by adding a zero gravity lawn chair.....they charged $350 for it.... They quoted me for a futon and conveniently the day before pickup told me the frame would cost $250 to bring !!! WHAT !!! THEY QUOTED A FUTON !!! I DIDN'T SAY FUTON MATRESS !! I had spoke to a manager Bill White at the Boca Raton location where I had set all this up. He was rude , yelled at me made every excuse as to why they were taking advantage of a senior citizen ... I rarely write reviews of companies, but Alliance Movers deserves one.... THIS IS AN AWFUL COMPANY TO HIRE FOR YOUR MOVE! DO NOT USE THEM! I'll start by saying that Igor, the employee in charge of picking up my order, was absolutely helpful and unfortunately the ONLY positive interaction I had with Alliance Movers. He's polite, professional, and easygoing. However that's where the pleasant experience ended for me. Before delivery, I called to get an estimated day that the delivery would be made. I was met with a customer service representative who not only couldn't give me a clue as to when my stuff would show up, she seemed annoyed at my lack of understanding of the process. When my delivery did show (and in somewhat of a speedy manner I will admit-so kudos there at least), I was called the night before at 11pm by an unidentified number which was displayed on my phone as, and I'm not making this up : Ghetto Product. When I asked who it was they simply said "yo, it's the movers, we'll be there tomorrow". When they did show up the next day, they were polite to me and I appreciated that...however half way through the unloading into my apartment they started arguing with each other and using profanity including the 'N word' in front of me. At one point I was asked to make a comment about the manner and I refused. Later it was discovered that they also lacked the tools and experience necessary to reassemble my furniture correctly. Extremely uncomfortable experience. Next, and finally, came the 2+ WEEK endeavor to receive the necessary documentation, weight tickets, in order for me to process the move with the US Army so that I could be financially compensated for my government ordered move. Customer service at Alliance Movers is essentially an oxymoron. I called at least once every couple of days to check on my weight tickets and was REPEATEDLY put on hold for 15+ minutes at a time only to be told that they would call me back, which they never, and I do mean NEVER, did...that is until I called the driver, Igor, himself and requested the weight tickets. I'll add that calling Igor was a suggestion I made after finding the customer service completely inept and their response was, "uhh.. I don't know, maybe?" They refuse to let you speak to a higher authority/manager. They will not call you back as agreed. They will waste your time and money. Only after I threatened to dispute the transaction with my credit card company did they lift a finger to help me and by the time they did I had already fixed the problem myself. I really want to give negative 5 stars!!! This company is not on the up and up....avoid at all costs. They don't pickup when scheduled or deliver when scheduled. They tear your stuff up, no apologies, customer service is horrible, they lie to you about the location of your things, and management will not call you back. The so called third party insurance for damaged items actually has an inactive business license in the state of FL. Absolute WORST moving company I've ever experienced!!!!! Words can't even express how traumatized I am from my experience with this company. If you have expensive or valuable furniture please choose any other company than these people. I was looking for out of state movers and When I googled this company I was fooled by the 4 stars it had, I was lazy and did not do any further research, but boy did I learn my lesson. When I first called I was given a reasonable price over the phone. Upon arrival the men were the most RUDE group off men I've ever dealt with. They decided to charge me $150 extra for having stairs (which I told them before booking them), also another $380 for "packaging" because I had a lot of glass, which I also told them. I tried Speaking to managers etc and no one seemed to care they would get on the phone and speak another language to each other. He basically told me he could leave he doesn't care (of course he doesn't because they make you sign a contract that says you are still responsible to pay if they show up and don't do it). So basically even if your uncomfortable you better just let them do it or your paying them regardless. I had a bad feeling about this but I really had no choice at this point and they were already charging me over 2k at this point to move miscellaneous things (I had no big furniture, no couch, no dining table, no bed). They packed and left and there was no communication of when my things would arrive, I tried calling the office and it was almost impossible to communicate a time or date so that I could make sure to be home. I was. Then given a last minute date of arrival and told the men who packed My stuff would not be dropping it off, they were sending someone else (which I thought was very weird). Finally the Day my things arrived and what a disappointment. I would have Been better off trying to sell my stuff or moving it myself because they broke EVERY piece of glass furniture that they charged me extra for "packaging", including my 60" tv as well. At this point I wanted to cry, I was so upset and angry (if you know mirror objects then you know they are NOT cheap). I also had a bunch of expensive dog kennels for them to bring and every single one was missing pieces that they left behind or lost. There was also a box with my printer and computer supplies that they purposely picked. Up and hid back in the closet instead of putting it on the truck (elves strange). I was told to make a claim, which I did immediately. I finally got a response weeks later and was offered a measly $189 for there damages (which I did not accept) !!!!! What a SMACK IN THE FACE, they had damaged thousands of dollars worth of furniture and tried offering an amount I couldn't even replace one item with. I am sick to my stomach with the outcome and will be reporting this incident to BBB. This is my 4th out of state move and I have NEVER experienced anything like this in my life. read more
