No grace for a card not working due to fraudulent activity on the card. One day late to replace a card that was stolen and they charge a $30 fee. Another time, I called in to replace a card and they lost it, and then charged me for being late. I had to fight with them to get a fee removed. You know there is not much to say but when renting a storage as long as you pay on time each month there is no problem. When you move in mid month your rent is prorated. Unfortunately it does not go the same when you move out. Now don't get me wrong yes we signed a contract and I read the contract. I fell ill and was unable to get everything out of my storage by the 5th. I called and ask if I could pay them up until this weekend when I would have help available to get the rest of my things. I was told no and I left it at that. Then I get a phone call from Alliance that I missed so immediately I call back and Connie states if I got her message and I stated I had not heard it. So she states she will give me to the 7th and hopes it will help out which it does so I thank her. On the 6th after work I try to go and get the last of the stuff but cannot get in apparently my code was deactivated. I wait until the 7th and go with help to get the last few things and told well I cannot go in because I was late paying for the storage and explained I got a call and the woman stated she would give me until the 7th. Sounded like the same lady in the office I was speaking to. I asked to speak with the owners and was told they would not speak to me. I pulled out my phone and had her listen to the message and asked her who is Connie and she stated she was but you know we all have problems. With no other choice I had to pay a full months rent to just get the last of my stuff. After she charges me and then states oh well if you would have told me you had only one large item I would have let you through to get it. I think that is just poor customer service on their part and had she just stated no and left it at that but turned around and told me something different on the phone. I will never go with Alliance again nor would I refer anyone to them. I would assume go to Fogle storage beside they keep better maintenance on rodents and such. I can not say enough good things about Alliance Self Storage. Let's just say they made one of the most stressful days of my life a little better by helping me get my 34' vintage trailer a place to weather out Hurricane Harvey. We were already stressed out after having to pull her out of Rockport at the last minute after we borrowed a truck from family in Houston to pull her inland. I had seen Alliance many times on my drive back/forth to Rockport. I remember noting in my head how wonderfully maintained the facility looked from the road and that it did accommodate RV/car storage behind a access gate. When we got there, we found that the RV spaces were a little short for our particular unit but Dena jumped into action helping us find somewhere on the property that they could put our trailer. if I lived in Lockhart, I would move all my storage needs to them. Their pricing is incredibly reasonable compared to what I pay for storage in Austin area for facilities that impeccably maintained and a staff that is an absolute pleasure to work with! read more
