Allie & Paws did such a good job with our little boy today! He hasn't had a bath in so long (probably over a year) and is outside the majority of the time, so you know what that means lol. He was extra dirty and had fleas, when we picked him up I was surprised to see how clean he was. I had called this morning before work to see if I can bring in my 1 year old Pom what happens to be his Bday today for a cut & bath . I believe I spoke to the owner Alex & she said it was okay to bring him , she asked what kind of dog was it & told her it was a Pomeranian . Over all she said they charge $70-$80 since it's a small dog , I said perfect I'll show up after work . Once I arrived around 4:20pm another lady greeted me & called another guy from the back to discuss what I wanted done . The guy claimed he was the owner too idk ... I so then just told him I wanted a bath & haircut , the lady made a bothered face & the guy also kept making excuses saying his hair was too long & was gona take 3 hours to do the job & because it had a few knotts. They both looked like they didn't want to do the work by their faces & excuses. I mean it's a small Pomeranian . The guy then told me if he does the job he was going to charge me $200 or so that's ridiculous. So I told him okay if it's too much work can you guys just give him a bath and even that he didn't want too because it was going to take too long to dry him and he would've maybe smelled if they didn't dry him right & still wanted to charge me $120-$150 JUST for the bath , like come on . How did we go from $70 to $200 ? It sucks because I took my other Pomeranian before & never had a problem. This time it sounded like the lady & guy didn't wana deal with the hair on my dog , I thought that's what dog groomers are for ? & also sucks because he turns 1 today and wanted him to be cleaned & have a cut for his bday . Okay, I have a lot to say about Allie & Paws, so this will be a long one. They are absolutely fantastic! I've been using their grooming services at the Firestone location for about 3.5 months now and I couldn't be more happy. The price is very reasonable considering I have to get my dog groomed regularly, I don't feel like it's breaking the bank. Also, my dog Jerry is a recent rescue with extreme anxiety. However, everyone who works there has been so kind, understanding and patient with him. I love that with each groom he comes back to me with a new accessory like a bow tie or bandana that's his to keep. Shout out to Belinda who usually works on him. Recently, I utilized their boarding services. I was so relieved that they could take him on for a whole week and were flexible on pick up when I had a flight delay. Once again the price wasn't outrageous for what they offer. The room is small, but cozy. I liked the fact that he wasn't in a crate when sleeping like other places. Since this is my first fur baby, I was a bit of a helicopter dog mom, but Alyssa was always there providing updates and making sure Jerry never felt alone. I did have a schedule for him, which she closely followed. They built a small bond and he now gets excited to see her. Lastly, I recently took part in a Halloween photoshoot held at the Firestone location, it was so fun. They provided him with a goodie bag filled with dog treats and the photos came out great. I wanted to love this place since it's local, had overall good reviews and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately bases of my 1st experience i wouldn't come back. If you choose to give this place a try maybe ask lots of questions. Pros about this place is they have two locations, easy to book appointment online you even get to choose the groomer. Parking is pretty good staff was very friendly. Unfortunately not sure if this is an issue only at this new location (Firestone)but they seem to be booking more appointments than they can handle. When I dropped my Girl off at 11:50 for a 12pm appointment I spoke with one of the male groomers who asked what I wanted. The receptionist who I believe is the daughter of the owner proceeded to ask him are you sure she's coming? He reply's yes she will be here at noon. Not sure if it was the original groomer I had booked. Since I did book a female groomer. At the time of drop off I only saw two male groomers. She did say they were a little behind. At 4:11 I message them asking for an update. The said they were a little behind but she would be ready in 45 min. At 5:20 I got a message from Miguel that she was ready to be picked up. He was very nice & explained they had lots of doodles that day and it was only two of them. Not sure why because when choosing my groomer online it gave me the option to book from 4 groomers. I know doodles take time especially if they are anxious. He did a good job she looked cute but honestly I can see where they are just rushing to get the job out. There's un even areas. She gets groomed every 9 weeks with a tidy up at 5 weeks so I know what I'm looking for in a groomer. Miguel seems amazing but sadly i think they're just over booking. I will post pictures and a video. The fly away hairs and little uneven hair I can look pass doesn't bother me. She came home and next day we notice she was scooting her back legs and dropping aggressively liking her lady parts. Once I looked she looks like she may have razor burn or maybe a small cut she won't let me touch her. So now all have to take her to the Vet so they can take a look. I know accidents happen I'm very understanding of it Dogs are not always cooperative & can be anxious & just can't get pass them having 5/6 doodles to groom with two groomers aside from a few other breeds in one day. I can't shake off the feeling they rushed and accidentally nicked her. We've never had an issue with her being groomed elsewhere in almost 2 yrs. Like I said if you do choose to use Allie & paws do ask lots of questions when booking and dropping off. I should have asked when dropping off to speak with the groomer who I originally booked with that was my fault. Over all the hair cut wasn't bad it was definitely rushed. My biggest issue is her now having Razor burn or a cut on her vulva. she so uncomfortable and a trip to the vet is needed. Edit*** I've come back to edit my review. I had to take my dog to The Vet. I reached out to the salon on Tuesday March 11 to ask if my dog had been cut or burned by clippers. They assured me she wasn't. Offered me a complimentary medicated soak to what they said was most likely irritation from being trimmed to short. By Wednesday morning she was refusing to get up and walk or sit. She had to be carried up and downstairs. So we took her to see the vet. She was prescribed medicated wipes, Antibiotic ointment & prednisone pills for the inflammation. I reached out to groomers we've seen in the past who both said this looked like clipper Burns. Something that can happen if they are grooming multiple dogs and not allowing the clippers to cool or changing the blades. The groomer had to have notice this yet didn't make me aware when I picked her up! I will add pictures of what it looked like by day 3 read more

Found this place while searching on Maps. Needed to find a place closer to home. We're glad we came here. The price for Milo was unbeatable. For Honey it was a bit higher than our old place but we we're still happy with the results. The service was top notch. Staff is amazing and was very caring to our pets. I took my goldendoodle on Saturday and asked for short fluffy style with his face to be shaped and fluffy as his body. When i picked him up not only the lady who i think her name was Leslie, had a attitude because my dog was peeing alot she messed him up, my dog has no fur his face was completely shaved and his body was totally shaved too, not even half of inch of fur left on him. Nothing of what i asked and not they only mess him up but hurt his ear. I noticed after yesterday Sunday he was winning everytime we will touch his ear and today he started bleeding from the inside of the ear not i only paid $160 for a really horrible service now i have to take him to the vets to check his ear. For them is a job for us pet owners this are not just pets they are family, companions our best friends we trust them with our pets and they do this horrible treatment. I'm really disappointed and thinking of taking this futher do to his ear injury. read more

Took my Pomeranian for a trim and shortly after dropping her at the Paramount location received a call the groomer was bit by another dog, and they would have to take my dog to the Firestone location. I was okay with that, but I don't know what happened if they did not communicate correctly that I only wanted a trim and not a full cut. Pomeranians are not to have their hair cut completely they have a double coat. When I picked up my baby I couldn't believe how they left her. I explained to the groomer, and he simply didn't care, and I told him they can lose their hair or get alopecia. so, upsetting! read more

First, I'll start with the good news. My dog is alive and looks well groomed. I dropped her off, and an hour or so later, I get a call saying "she'll be ready in 10 minutes." Unfortunately, when I arrived, I saw her running away from the groomer in a busy parking lot. She was panicked and sprinted toward me. I displayed none of the fury I felt. All I said was, "This does not look good." If you are too incompetent to keep a dog safe, you get 0 approval from me. The common sense to keep doors closed (in case a dog escapes the wash station or kennel) was not employed. My dog apparently forced her way out of the kennel and jumped the half door to run outside the front door into the lot. Paramount is a busy street. I don't like to think about what could have happened. I got some mild attempt at an apology that didn't cut it. He didn't take full responsibility for his failure to protect the anxious pet. So my dog is extremely traumatized from past groomers so I'm very hesitant and scared to drop him off ... but this is my third time at allies and they're so amazing. I always meet the groomers, the lady at her front desk is so nice as well they always make me feel like he's gonna be in safe trusted hands. I left Mac for 3ish hours because of his treatment ( flea bath plus full grooming) about 90 $ But it's about 80 without the flea bath. And he always comes back happy. Before at his old groomers he would come back shaking and scared and didn't want to move. When he comes back from allies he's always normal and playful. They definitely earned my trust ! I have never done a yelp review before but I was just not happy at all . First time I went there it was a great experience no doubt my dog got a great haircut. That's the reason I took him back for a second time. I have never had a problem on paying for a good service, but the first time I got charge $30 less than the second time but the second time I did I get charge $30 more and the haircut was not up to my expectations. I was given a flyer at the Downey Night Market and was very excited to have found a place close to home to name my 6 month old corgi to. I was even more excited by the affordable prices. 1st Experience: I was given an appointment right away and greeted at the door. The cut was about 1hr 30 minutes long. Not too bad of an experience however I did notice that my puppy came home very sad and seemed a bit off. (She is usually very excited about getting groomed and typically loves people). Not sure what happened but she didn't seem too happy to have been there. 2nd Experience: I called to book an appointment and was given one for a later time.
