This year, the A/C stopped working. Brian came out, confirmed there was almost no pressure in the system, and told us this indicated a leak. We scheduled a return visit for him to locate and repair it. He never showed up. Calls and messages were not returned. We also spoke with another technician at High Point--his son--who said Brian would reach out. He never did. At that point, we were completely ghosted. We ended up calling another local HVAC company. They quickly diagnosed the issue as a leaking evaporator coil--a part that should have been covered under a 10‑year manufacturer warranty. Unfortunately, we learned that the unit had never been registered by High Point at installation, so the extended warranty was never activated. That single oversight cost us over $1,000 out of pocket for the part. Beyond the financial hit, the lack of follow‑through and accountability was extremely disappointing. Brian did not stand behind his work, did not communicate with us when there was a problem, and left us to deal with the consequences. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

He offered a solution that would require moving a low used circuit on to another one to free up a slot for the double slot 50 Amp breaker. He suggested a certain type of charger that they install frequently. I was able to find a different brand that would work for Consumers Energy rebate. When we first moved to the area, our humidifier was not working, Roger came over and showed us how to get it going - at NC! We just had them put in a new AC unit for us. A large company came out and told me I had to leave the air off till it was replaced. Roger came over and explained how to keep it running till they could replace the old unit. While he was in the basement he discovered the hot water heater vent had come detached at the foundation, leaking small amounts of gas in the house and fixed it up.
