Bought 7 pallets of Centipede in November when all the grass was brown. In the spring things started turning green and the grass was spotty, there was more weeds than grass coming up and it has Bermuda mixed in with it. Very poor quality. read more

First pallet was nice, second was moldy and dead. They won't take it back, said "give it some water, it will come back". That's not the point; you sell the most expensive centipede grass in the area, you'd expect it to be viable upon purchase...poor customer service. read more

had 12 pallets of what was supposed to be zoysia sod delivered from Allied Farms - it is riddled with crab grass, weeds, and centipede... some was molded so bad and so thin we are 6 weeks in watering as instructed and still no signs of life with the exception of the weeds.... so many weeds and we prepped over centipede and put in top soil. terrible - dont do it! also they dont care - tried to call them about it and they dont care to even try to work out a solution. spend the extra 30 bucks a pallet and get viable healthy sod! read more

Five years ago I took delivery of sod for my back yard. The sod was full of crab grass and weeds. A lot of the sod was super thin. It took many hours to pull out all the crab grass that took hold immediately. Five years later I am still regretting my decision to trust an East Milton vendor, all of whom are ripoffs. For example, the Tree Guy (actually a girl) and the Paulk Brothers. Getting way overcharged is the norm in East Milton. I still have a weedy back yard compared to the front yard turf which DEFINITELY DID NOT COME FROM ALLIED. I don't believe Allied Sod can produce good sod. If you don't want to be completely ripped off like I was, do not give any business to these guys. An awful company, but if you have low low standards, then this vendor is perfect for you. read more

I have used Allied Sod Farms multiple timess for projects at home and work. Each time I had a great experience with this company. I was educated on how to ensure the sod survived and received assistance with loading it into my truck. Today, they even stayed open later for me so I could pick up a pallet of sod afterwork for a project I need to complete tomorrow am. Each time I followed their instructions, the sod survived. read more

Ordered 4 pallets of centipede and all of it came brown. I called and complained that the grass was the worst I had seen. She stated that the grass was dormant. I let it go at that and once it stated to green up it was full of crabgrass, and it was very thin as a whole. Very disappointed in the quality of the grass. I just had a pool put in and the dirt around the pool was sloped away from the pool so I needed to get it stabilized so if it rained it wouldn't wash away. That is the reason I accepted the delivery. read more

Staff was friendly and helpful here and the price for a pallet of sod to fill in some balding areas in my back yard was good. I was concerned when I picked it up because the sod was brown and mashed and unhealthy looking but I laid it down anyway and hoped with enough scotts weed and feed and water and TLC it would take off. It did for a little bit and then it died and weeds sprung up in the exact T area where i laid all of this. Ordered 5 pallets of centipede and 3 of the five were complete crap.It was cut so thin it fell apart trying to take it off the pallet my yard truned out terrible.I spent over $1000 dollars and when I complained they said its because they hired a new guy to work the farm.I don't care about that I care about a product that's worth the money I paid.Stand behind your product!Your company can't survive with this type of garbage!I have to redo the entire yard with real sod....thanks for nothing! read more

Stay away from this crooked business!!!!! I bought 5 pallets of St Augustine and within two weeks the sod was dead. We watered the sod daily, bought pesticides and later fertilizer and nothing could revive it. Had our soil tested and our PH level was good. Later we discovered armadillos tearing up the sod at night and we found out it was infested with web worms, grubs, crickets and ant!! They lied and said it was our fault the sod died and there sod it free of bugs. Again, STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKED BUSINESS!!! They are other sod dealers to buy sod from and you will be HAPPY you did!!! read more

I have bought sod back on 6 March,6 pallets half of the sod fell apart & was full of weeds.I told them I would give one more try so I bought 2 pallets on 7 may & guess what 1 & 1/2 of pallet just fell apart.I called to let them know but they just said they would tell owner.Thats it for me.So if you want to buy shit then shop here!! read more

This place is terrible. I ordered five pallets of centipede and it was falling apart in clumps. In less than a week, a huge section of my yard is dead. About a fifth of the grass delivered was brown and very dry. I had to order another pallet and I told Katie about the poor quality of the first load. She replied it had been cut fresh that day. No way possible. She offered to take $20 off the second delivery fee and this stuff is also pretty bad. I think they were the cheapest of several companies I called and now I see why. Very poor quality, dry, thin cut, brown. I would not recommend them and wanted to go with another company after the first delivery but no one had centipede. I should have just ordered the more expensive stuff from another local company, which is what I did for my front yard. read more

I bought 6 pallets of St Augustine Sod from Allied Farms this spring. Every single blade of grass was dead in less than 4 weeks in spite of proper care and watering . I was told by several lawn care specialist that sod was defective. Allied Sod Farms told me I have a "tail light garantee". As soon as you pay and sign for the sod and the truck drives away, they are no longer responsible. I would highly recommend that you shop elsewhere for sod. read more
