When he was finished , I was told to pick him up within 30 minor I'd be charged a late fee. With Atlanta traffic, 30 minutes didn't give me enough time to get there - especially without knowing an estimate time. I WILL NEVER bring any of my dogs back. BEWARE!! This owner takes ZERO responsibility for issues they cause. We used their mobile grooming service and they left our garage door WIDE OPEN after a grooming without any notice to us (we were at work and didn't arrive home until 5+ hours later and learned our house had been wide open all day). They refused to accept responsibility for their wrong doing and concocted stories about how it was OUR fault. They are professionally immature and lack the basic understanding of how to run a business. While we never necessarily had issues with their actual grooming, we immediately switched companies after this incident and it wasn't until then that I realized what a poor job they were also doing with the grooming. Took my little dog in for a 'mini' groom - nonetheless, they shaved her belly leaving numerous razor burns, one even bleeding slightly. Staff was uncaring and tried to claim she came in that way. However, she did not. I will not be back and I doubt they care. read more

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I had a horrible experience yesterday after taking my dog in for a simple wash / trim. It took them over 3 hrs to complete it even though they claimed it would only take 2.5 hrs. I brought my dog in for her 2 o'clock appointment and she didn't come back out until 5:10-15. That leads me to be they're understaffed and/or inefficient in time management. When my fur baby finally came out I noticed blood on her paw, the woman at the front desk had the nerve to dismiss it as urine even though it was clearly red in color. Unfortunately, I paid before seeing my dog but I immediately complained. They dismissed my concerns claiming that the bleeding was minimal and would stop. Newsflash: it didn't and the poor dog's paw leaked all over my car seat. I was furious. Still am pissed as I write this review because that was ridiculous. The groomer knew my dog was bleeding before sending her out and had the nerve to be casual about it. I demand a refund and if not, I would dispute the charge. Do NOT choose this business as a fair warning!!! - Extremely overpriced too! There are better groomers out there for a more affordable price. read more

I used to take my dogs to Petsmart to get groomed but the one who would groom big dogs got hurt and hasn't been able to groom. I tried the one in Duluth twice and they were unable to groom my poodle because they said she was too energetic and wiggly so my vet recommend pampered paws! The staff was incredibly friendly and was so loving to my sweet girl and she got the cutest and best groom she has ever had! She is happy as a clam and so stinking cute! My mom had to go pick her up for me and she was one of the last dogs left and my mom had to do a double take because when she walked in she was standing behind the desk with the receptionist with her front paws on the desk acting like she worked there. We got an excellent recommendation from a dear friend to take our three dogs to Allie who owns Pampered Paws. Our previous groomer left her place of employment. We just got back from a PERFECT grooming for our Maltese mix, who although cute and loving, can get a bit snippy at the groomers. We told Allie up front, that he could be difficult, and were a bit anxious after we left him. When we picked him up, he has the best grooming he has ever had! We held our breath as we asked if he would be "allowed" to come back, and Allie said he really did quite well! Before we left we made appointments for our two female dogs, who are much easier to deal with. We are thrilled that our dogs have a new place to go for their grooming needs! My dog gets regular grooming at Pampered Paws. And for the most part, they have done an acceptable job. My little Maltipoo was butchered. His face was jagged, his ears were uneven, the top of his head was nearly bald. He looked ghastly. The owner suggested we bring him back so she could fix it. But this hack job could not be fixed. The owner would not consider a credit or anything to make things right. They are terrible and worst of all they do not care about your dog or your satisfaction. Please don't go there. You will be throwing away your money and traumatizing your pup. read more

I've had trouble finding a good groomer since I moved to the area. I came across Allie's Pampered Paws and decided to give it a try. The first time my havanese and golden retriever went, I was so happy. They looked fantastic. It was definitely more expensive than I was used to paying, but I figured that you get what you pay for and I definitely got my money's worth. The second time I brought them back, they were short staffed. Everyone seemed scattered and stressed out, which dogs can sense. Somebody brought their baby to work which was sitting behind the counter crying. What bothered me the most was the smell. It reeked of poop, which made me concerned that the grooming area wasn't a very clean environment. Since I had such a great experience already, I tried to over look this. When I went to pick up my dogs, they were distraught, anxious, and couldn't get out of there fast enough. It took them several hours to calm down once we got home and I vowed to never take them back there. read more

Had a grooming appointment today at 11. I dropped off my dog at 10:45. They seemed busy so I asked how long to expect him to be there. She said 2 1/2 hours. I talked with her that I drive a long distance but would shop in the area for a few hours. After attempting 2 phone calls, I went back at 3 and was informed it could be another 2 hours. He only had a bath which Allie charged $50, the most I've ever paid for a small dog. She had the nerve to ask me why I had not texted. I dropped my Chow Chow off for a  shampoo and blow out ( as suggested by the staff because that's  what most chow chow owners prefer, a blow out vs a cut). I  agreed.  I returned to pick-up my doggie and to my disappointment she looked the same but wet!!! Her hair was messy!! Not the "pampered" look I was expecting or PAID for. I was depending on their professional expertise  ..to call me to say perhaps you should consider cutting  your dog's fur....the blow out  didn't  work. Her fur needs a trim!!! I scheduled a cut within the week.   I go to pick-up my doggie and AGAIN they walked her out proudly with an untrimmed face, ears and the body  "is" cut but looked like a lamb or poodle...the fur is curly. Her fur was not brushed out.I excepted a buzzed cut look. They took her back to redo. Well instead of  SICSSOR  TRIMMING the tips around her face and ears  they just zoomed with  a RAZZOR...which gave a choppy appearance. Now no  one can tell my doggie's breed. To add on both visits my doggie wasn't adorned with a scarf or ribbon...I had to ask!! To make  matters worst upon returning home my doggie  is scratching and biting herself.  She has gotten fleas!! My doggie  was a rescue, on vet visits we ALWAYS have to muzzle  her. I found it interesting that they said they  didn't  have to muzzle  her. My friends and I feel she wasn't  groomed!  A waste of my money! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Kind, knowledgeable, very high quality, mid-tier priced grooming. I called this morning and Pampered Paws was able to fit in my new pitbull in the afternoon. All other groomers in the area are either overbooked, overpriced, or don't accept pitbulls. Even though I was 20 minutes early to my appointment they were welcoming and took him in right away. I left to run errands and an hour later they called me up to tell me he was ready for pick up. Before he came in he had been smelly and shedding like crazy! Our house was covered in dog hair. But now he is sitting on our BLACK couch so clean, fresh, and comfortable. I don't see ANY hair on it! Paid $45 for a wash, dry, teeth clean, ear clean, nail trim, and de-shedding. I was annoyingly worried about the nail trim because the vet warned me about groomers who cut too much nail and cause pain. Pampered Paws reassured me when I expressed this concern. They told me when I picked him up that they didn't really trim because he didn't need it. Instead they just smoothed out the nail and I am so happy with the result. Also! The groomer there let me know that the prong collar I had on him was way too tight and that I needed to loosen it in order for it to be affective and not hurt him. My old groomer had issues with COVID outbreaks and employees being exposed. After a month of rescheduling (plus two months of shut down) I finally had to find a new groomer. I took my senior pup to Pampered Paws and they did such a good job! He was looking "ruff" and I didn't have too high expectations since it was so grown out I figured it would take a few grooming appointments to get his hair looking good. But I was wrong, when I picked him up he looked so cute! Allie the owner cut his hair and did a great job. She did everything I asked and he was happy when I picked him up. Would highly recommend. Started using Allie's grooming service in Jan 2019 at the recommendation of a friend. Grooming was very good at first. But in Aug she shaved my Morkie so short that he looked horrible. Her apologetic excuse was that she was overwhelmed grooming a poodle, messed up, therefore had to cut shorter. I didn't express my discontent since I had to attend another appointment. When I called to discuss the incident she would not pick up nor return my calls. Seems that she doesn't appreciate her customers and is not proffessional. Sad to be writing this review! On Wednesday (10/30/19) my two Yorkies came to be cut at Pampered Paws, and were picked up at 3:50. On Thursday morning (10/31/19) I discovered a few small nicks on their bellies, a small rash/abrasion on one dog, and a deep cut in the others "armpit." After noticing, I consulted family and that night the below picture was taken of said cut. (it's quite deep!) For anyone living in the Norcross/PTC area, you'll remember it was raining on 10/30 and 10/31, and for us that means our dogs only go outside on walks on leashes to avoid getting dirty. (especially after a wash!) This meaning, there was no time or opportunity for my animals to have somehow harmed themselves. When I emailed Pampered Paws today (within 1 week of incident) they responded with a well worded letter apologizing for the animals indisposition, but denying any and all responsibility. Any dog owner knows grooming cannot be easy and mistakes can surely happen, but to downright deny all involvement is terrible customer service (and simply doesn't make sense...) The right thing to do here was to offer a refund, future discount, etc. I work often in customer service and crisis communication, and my company never leaves a customer without compensation - even if we disagree! We have appreciated Pampered Paws service, but will no longer be seeing them. We just want others to know that 1) their animal could be hurt (even if accidental!) and 2) customer service is poor. read more

She reassured me that all was well that it would blow over in a few minutes. This is just how he gets when a customer complains & criticizes him about the way he groomed their dog. Their dog didn't match the pic they brought in, I can understand that situation I've personally take a picture of the hairstyle I wanted to a hairdresser to be told my hair couldn't do that style I assumed that it was that type of Situation. I explained that we were having family pictures taken and to leave her fur as long as possible, to just smooth it out and make sure she was extra fluffy (pomp) I pick up her up and she looked okay, her hair was shorter than I wanted & she certainly wasn't a fluff-ball it was already cut off so what can you do? Wait for it to grow back. Fast forward to 3 weeks later - a long sprig of fur is suddenly sticking out of my dogs shoulder? It's 2.5-3 inches long! It looked like someone glued it on her but it wasn't. I ask my hubby if he had any ideas about how it happened? He said it looked like a shooting star lol. I thought how odd I brush her every other day @ minimum and never saw it forming? When I picked her up her mane was pretty lumpy looking, but nothing stuck out. After that, every 2-3days another long sprout of fur would pop out! She looked like a child had taken a pair of scissors and glue cut chunks of fur & then glued them in Random places! (I can assure you that is not what happened, we do not have any little children at home or any within miles of our home, plus she's is always with me) They were all around her neck & Shoulders and runs down along the left side of her body. There were 25-30 sprigs of fur sticking out, Now, she looked like a full-fledged Starburst It was time for her yearly vet visit and I ask the vet what she thought was going on, she inspected her for signs of cuts & Scratches there weren't any. She agreed that our dog looked like a Star. I thought about calling to complain or dropping by i h her by so they could see what her fur was doing... but it had been 3-4 weeks, I remember his Temper tantrum and I certainly did not want him to redo her if he was prone to fits of temper when a customer complained. I took her to a different groomer and asked if they could explain what happened to her fur? Why it grew out in funny sprigs versus normal hair growth, was it some freak of nature or was it just a bad cut? She said she had never seen anything like it before? She wouldn't be able to say until she bathe her and put on the table. Final diagnosis/opinion: bad haircut with dull clippers. I wish I had taken pictures I always forget to take'em and it's so easy now that I always have a camera in my pocket. What a Bummer now I have to find a new groomer y'all read more

Wow!! This has been the best experience I've had with a groomer thus far!! The atmosphere when you walk into the salon is amazing, the groomers are all so relatable and the entire check-in and check-out process was so smooth. Allie's great at what she does! The location is very easy to find and the front of the store looks clean and organized. My baby was given a bath and full groom here for the first time and I'm very satisfied! Plus they don't keep dogs in the tiny crates like other places do! The price is very reasonable too compare to other chain/private groomers I've been to. We are definitely coming here for future baths and grooms! read more

We brought our chocolate lab Toby to Alyssa and they did a phenomenal job!!! We have had him groomed at many different places, but none have done such a good job with him. He is a 90 pound lab and can be hard to handle if he gets excited, but they did an amazing job on him. Most places are not able to get his nails and not only were they able to get them, but they were able to trim them better than anyone has ever been able to! We wouldn't hesitate to bring Toby back and recommend Allie to other people! read more

This is a very professional grooming salon without the stuffiness that usually comes included with professional. The shop is relaxed and the staff knowledgeable and friendly. I have had a great relationship with Allie for years now. My family has used her for all of our family dogs since she was doing mobile grooming, and her service has remained stellar with this new location. My dog is a labradoodle with a really long, beautiful coat, and Allie does an AMAZING job of preserving her full, curly look even when she cuts a lot of hair off. She also does a great job of taking care of my dog's matted areas and only shaves her in small spots as a last resort after trying to remove the tangles in other ways first. I cannot say enough nice things about how well she communicates, treats my dog, and listens to my specific instructions and concerns.
