ZERO stars if I could! Dr Hill is nice but practice has deceptive billing since their 0% interest,…read moreisn't 0% because they actually give a cash pay discount (more info at bottom). The first time my son was seen for phase 1 banding, we were waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes past his appointment time for less than 5 minutes to insert the bands. His second appointment he had his expander placed (the wait was reasonably 15minutes after his appointment time) went great until it was time to make his next appointment. He was supposed to turn for 21 days and come back in 3 weeks for braces and chains, the earliest appointment they had was 8 weeks away! I tried to make an appointment at the Kyle location and was told they preferred to keep all of his care at 1 location. His contract was 18months, at this rate it would take 2.5-3years. After waiting 3 weeks to see if a cancellation had come up, I was told that he could be seen at the Kyle location because his appointment needed to be 1.5hours and it was hard to fit him in at the New Braunfels location. Except they did not have an appointment until 4 days before his already scheduled appointment (still 5 weeks away). So I immediately began looking for another orthodontist to transfer his care. I found another orthodontist around the corner and couldn't be more happy. Turns out he doesn't need braces or chains, he did need a lot more turns than the original 21, and his appliance was loose and was unwinding itself so it is now glued. I cancelled with this office and transferred care, his plan was decreased $2800 and the new office is only going to charge $500 for a retainer at a later point. However when I cancelled no one cared to ask why I had chosen to change care so soon after starting, the office really doesn't care about the patients. I spent the next few weeks trying to get an itemized bill for what they charged me for...turns out there isn't one, they gave me a paper that shows original contract price $4000, discounted to $1200, then a list of all of my payments! No list of ortho's fee, no list price for appliance fee. But when I began looking into bill their 0% interest payment plan ISN'T 0%, they told me my son's care would be $4000 but it was actually $3800 if paid in cash because they have a cash pay discount and then charge 2.87% on the $3800. I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone!

From scheduling to the office visit the staff here is absolutely fantastic. They were so kind and…read moregentle with my son who has major stress when it comes to going to the dentist. I've refrained from writing a review because I know how hard it can be to run a small business and…read moredidn't want to nit pick our experience. However today I received yet another message regarding my due bill from our visit last October. At the time of service there was a glitch in my insurance and our child wasn't listed on the plan. It's since been corrected and I have contacted the office NO LESS than 6 times to resolve. All they need to do is re-run the claim and my insurance will cover it at 100%. They don't provide an email address so each time I call I've either left a detailed message or spoken to someone who assures me it will be handled. Yet today, I received another message about this $300 bill. So here I am, hoping someone sees my frustration. We already had a less than stellar visit with our two small children -- waiting 45 minutes after cleaning to see the dentist; asking me to sit my 11 month old baby in the dental chair and hold his hands and feet down; pushing forward with the dental cleaning while my 3 year old is sobbing. This practice may be better suited for older children but for our little ones, their attention to detail and care fell short. Statement ID: V3770-00317-13809

I cannot say enough about this place I had been going here for years and decided to try a new place…read morewho wanted to sedate my child six different times for 6 cavities that I was told my child does not have at this place thank God I did not let them torture my daughter at the other place. GREAT STAFF ALL but a special thanks to I know I'm probably spelling this wrong but she told my daughter it was okay to call her this Helos (OLAF) SHES AMAZING. Explained everything to my nine-year-old to the point where she understood and was not nervous at all took extra time with her she even got a popsicle at the end no bad experiences from this dentist at all which is a plus when it comes to a child.THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!See you next time.

No parent should be comfortable using this dentist's office. My son went in to extract a baby tooth…read moreand the dentist on call said that he would make an appointment to seal my child's teeth and put him UNDER anesthesia in two weeks to extract the small tooth which is NOT attached to any root. He said he was going to gas my son and put him under, because pulling the baby tooth would be too traumatic for my son. He said this in front of my very sensitive son and my wife. I am a middle school teacher, with training in childhood trauma and I have worked with CPS and as a trauma team liason and this doctor had the audacity to imply that my wife and myself were trying to traumatize our child, in front of our child. Worse, to try and guilt us as parents into allowing A TRAUMATIC AND UNNECESSARY PROCEDURE ON OUR INNOCENT CHILD, so they could justify billing us more. I wonder how many childhood psychology degrees are on the walls in this office? The LAST thing you do is tell a child that they are traumatized if you are unqualified to do so. Certainly though, the staff lacks manners and common decency. If you want to scar your children and have your basic parenting questioned so that these people can use your child like a walking dollar sign, please, take your child here. IF, however, you care about the healthy and wholesome development of your child NEVER take your child here. They clearly do not care about you OR your kids.
