The pool needs to be skimmed more often and the lifeguards still do not keep people that are not swimming laps out of lap lanes like they should when they are being used. They let people just hang out and they are constantly getting in the way. The lifeguards I have met are very courteous though. Ryan and Caleb especially. They do a good job guarding and enforcing the diving board rules.

It makes the pools less crowded, and I'm sure is easier on the lifeguards and maintenance staff. I have no complaints about my time actually poolside. However, I am knocking a star for their terrible online ticketing website. It appears they limit non-resident passes to twenty a day, which makes getting put into a que and then taken to another page, which was finicky, to pay with credit card quite annoying and also nervemaking, as I worried we had driven out for nothing as the number of tickets left went down... Anyway, I was impressed overall. Not sure I'll be back out before it closes for the season (mid-August, which seems early), but I was happy to invited once!

Its 44 acres include an outdoor aquatic center, baseball/softball diamonds, large playground (with rubberized surface), tennis/pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, football field, Ben Rau floral garden, picnic pavilions, and hiking trail. In winter, a park hill provides snow sledding. A serene spot in the park is set aside for the Angel of Hope statue, a memorial to all parents who have experienced the death of a child. Each December 6 an evening candlelight memorial service is held here.

We ordered a pizza and waited over 45 minutes, only to receive one that wasn't fully cooked. We took it back, and they remade it, but the second pizza had the exact same problem. When we spoke with the manager, instead of taking responsibility or trying to make the situation right, he continued making excuses for what had happened. We left without any resolution. What made the experience even more frustrating was that my nephew had the same issue with his pizza. When he spoke with the same manager, he was given $80 in vouchers, while we received nothing for the exact same problem. The inconsistent treatment of customers was disappointing and unfair. I also witnessed something that was very upsetting. One employee publicly degraded another employee in front of numerous guests. The employees working the food stand were clearly working incredibly hard and doing the best they could under what appeared to be a very stressful situation. They deserved support from management, not criticism in front of customers. I understand that busy days happen and mistakes can be made. However, what stood out wasn't the mistake--it was how it was handled. Good leadership means taking responsibility, supporting your staff, and treating all customers fairly. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience.

I could see renting a court for a Wallyball night- during the hot summer or cold winter weekend nights. There are old couches and a nice big flat panel available in a upstairs lounge area. Rates from 7-10 PM on Friday & Saturdays Wallyball $80 /court Racquetball $45 /court Tennis $65 /court Large parties can rent the place 6 PM to midnight for $600 with more charges for over 150 people. This includes all court times & 125 beers... Not sure about the specifics or cost of extra beers. Now the bad- the area of this place is huge & I believe the bills to heat/cool must be outrages. Friday & Saturday after 5 PM are slow times & they allow the public to rent the court without joining or paying the $5/person guest fee. Membership is individual $20/ month or a family $25. Then comes court cost from $16.50-30/hour depending on type & time. There is a discount for those under 20 & over 60 that can take non-reserved spots. Plan to drink from the water fountain because a small bottle of Gatorade was $2.65. Racquetball was an obsession back in high school, college into my 20s. I had to take many breaks in my 2 hours of court time. I am out of shape & want to play more to get back in shape. However, between memberships, court fees & planning on moving- this maybe just a place I just visit with a friend that is a member.

Nonresidents pay slightly more than Wentzville residents but pricing is inexpensive. The gym and fitness center has workout machines, treadmills and other exercise equipment.
