He said they didn't have the notes of his previous script. Fine, so I showed him the picture of the bottle that said "Tucker (dog)". And I showed him the automated visit notes that you get emailed to a visit showing that he's on trazodone. Makes sense, right? But not for Rashad. He said by showing him this proof that my dog was in these medicines I was being extremely condescending? What am I supposed to do, accept the fact that they didn't have it? He then said we need a doctor visit with the dog. I said why? It's not like dementia gets better. He replies "sir, I'm a certified medical professional" or something? Okay? Just because he woke up in the wrong side of the bed this morning doesn't have to make it any more stressful for someone dealing with a dementia dog. I waited an hour and never complained once. Marla (I think) was extremely nice at the receptionist and so was the doctor. This guy is one of those people that seems to take everything personal I guess. All I did was show the pill bottles and the visit summary!

Please read this entire review if you truly love your pets…read more Writing this is one of the hardest things my family has ever had to do. We brought our beloved sphynx cat, Gary, and our toy poodle into this clinic expecting compassion, professionalism, and care. Instead, we left devastated and questioning everything that happened inside those walls. From the moment the doctor walked in, something felt off. He talked fast, barely listened, constantly interrupted us, and gave off more of a salesman vibe than someone genuinely concerned about our animals. We tried explaining what had been happening at home with Gary, but it felt rushed and ignored. Our poodle was first diagnosed with a UTI and immediately given antibiotics and a B12 shot BEFORE the test results even came back. Later, the test showed she did NOT have a UTI. So why were medications already pushed before confirming anything? On top of that, they tried telling us vaccines were overdue until we asked them to double check their own records... and suddenly they realized the shots had already been done. But nothing compares to what happened to Gary. We brought our baby boy in alive, alert, and stable. He brought Gary in the back and said he wanted to sedate him for an X Ray after the sedation took place The doctor literally told us Gary looked stable and could have another 2-4 years with proper checkups. They brought Gary to us as he was waking up . Minutes later, everything turned into a nightmare. Gary suddenly began panicking and thrashing uncontrollably. A nurse rushed him away while yelling for the doctor. Moments later we were asked if they could perform CPR. Of course we said yes -- he was family to us. Then the doctor came back and simply said: "I'm sorry... your cat died." Our entire family was shattered. And while we were still standing there in complete shock and grief, they started discussing the bill. Then we noticed something that made the entire situation even more disturbing: They charged us for CPR. Think about that for a second. So if we didn't approve the charge, what was the alternative? Just let him die? To us, this experience felt cold, transactional, rushed, and completely centered around money instead of care. We walked in with a cat expecting answers and walked out carrying heartbreak we will never fully recover from. This is not some irrational emotional rant from a pet owner. This is a grieving family warning others to ask questions, slow things down, trust your instincts, and never ignore that gut feeling when something feels wrong. We trusted this clinic with a member of our family. We will regret that decision forever. 10000000% please be safe

I've been holding out on writing this review, because I have a lot of respect for the veterinary…read moreprofession and I had a good experience here with Dr. Marlar (ONLY REASON I'm giving it 2 stars). That is...until I started getting booked with Dr. Rey. My cat has had a lot of allergy and health issues, so he really hates the vet. He takes a little more patience, some Gabapentin, and understanding. I've had many vets be able to examine him fine. Even Dr. Marlar told me that she didn't need my cat to be medicated to come in. But then again, she's obviously a cat person and cats can tell. Dr. Rey treated my cat with disdain. She told me to drug my cat twice before coming, something I've never been told to do. When I only gave him one dose (normal for him) she said "Why did you not drug him twice? I wrote it out for you...see? Right here??" In a nasty tone. I was embarrassed to be spoken to like a child like that. I'm a customer and loving cat parent trying to do my best. On another visit she told me "we can't check his vitals or weight, because he's being so nasty and I won't risk injury for my staff." Isn't it your job to put animals in distress at ease? Every time I I've gone here with Dr. Rey, I leave embarrassed and like IM in the wrong. I decided to stop coming here and went to Victoria park animal hospital. My cat was calm, cool, collected. He was wrapped in a calming pheromone blanket and they took everything slow with him. The way you HAVE to handle cats. Dr. Rey clearly doesn't have the patience for that. Last note, to add salt to the wound, when we were in between vets...they wouldn't approve my cat's prescription food until I called. Who denies prescription cat food when I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there and they explicitly wrote "do not change his diet" in his records??? Not impressed at all and we've been to MANY vets over the course of time. If you're a cat owner, I recommend someplace else.

It's easy to get an appointment online. My only real gripe was that the services seem to be aggressively overpriced with an emphasis on buying a Wellness monthly fee program to bring down somewhat absurdly high pricing on garden variety procedures.

WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!!…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience at Banfield Pet Hospital, and I feel compelled to share it. Unfortunately, I did not feel that my dog's concerns were thoroughly addressed. Instead of clear answers and a defined plan of care, the focus seemed to be on additional medications, shots, and add-on services without fully resolving the underlying issue. As a pet owner, that left me feeling frustrated and unheard. During our visit with Dr. Alexis Rafael Rendon, my dog was taken to a back room out of view. When the doctor returned, I repeatedly asked how she was doing and what he observed. I asked multiple times and did not receive clear, direct answers about her condition. It was concerning to leave an appointment without a solid understanding of my dog's health or next steps. Additionally, I was very disappointed with the cancellation policy for the wellness plan. I was informed that to cancel, I would need to pay back the "savings" from previous visits, which ends up costing more than simply continuing the monthly payments. That policy feels misleading and financially frustrating. As a devoted pet parent, I expect transparency, compassion, and clear communication. Sadly, this experience did not reflect those standards. I cannot recommend this location to others who are seeking attentive, solution-focused care for their pets. Warning do not go to Banfield veterinary !!!!! Save yourself the money and anguish and get your pet actual help elsewhere! 3 years no answer to my dogs issues, went to a new vet got answers and treatment on the first visit!!! I promise don't waste your money or time or mental on this vet office! Your babies deserve the best this place is the worst.

We brought my 13.5-year-old dog, here during what turned out to be a life-threatening Addisonian crisis. Despite his age and a Grade 5 heart murmur, we were left waiting for 2.5 hours without being seen by the doctor. At the two-hour mark, a nurse finally came out to the waiting room, and only after I pleaded with them, explaining that he could barely stay on his feet! When she tried to check his gums, my pup snapped at her. Instead of recognizing that a normally gentle senior dog snapping is a major red flag for severe pain and metabolic distress, they actually concluded he was 'stable enough' to keep waiting- because he had the energy to snap. - according to the receptionist. The management here is reckless. Looking at other reviews, it's clear that waiting for hours is the norm, which is completely unacceptable for an emergency facility. We finally followed our gut, left this clinic, and rushed him to VEG where he was seen immediately. It turned out my pup was in a full-blown Addisonian crisis that was actively damaging his kidneys. He required 48 hours of intensive care, precision IV stabilization to survive. Had we listened to the staff here and continued to wait, I don't think my little man would have made it. If your pet is in a crisis, do not risk their life by waiting at this facility.
