Very good food in this restaurant that is right across the street from the BB King Museum. Stopped…read morehere twice for dinner while visiting the area. The food has a sophisticated edge that shows real thought is put into the menu. I had kabobs on special one night, and the seasoning on the vegetables was delicious. The steak was very tender and cooked perfectly. The next time I had the ribeye. Again, great flavor and cooked just right. It's huge and a meal for two days. Service was quick and friendly and they make an honest drink at the bar. Check to see if they have live entertainment on the weekend.

The Blue Biscuit is a bar, not a restaurant. I have now learned this. However, they have excellent…read morebar food. When you walk in, it's honestly a dive. There were people drinking, chatting, standing, sitting, and two bartenders trying to keep it all going. I got one's attention and she let me sit in the back room, where there are some tables, couches, a TV.... all while a live band set up in the front room. That kind of atmosphere. To her credit, the bartender kept up with me and the food arrived quickly. Appetizers are expensive, entrees are cheap, but I saw a lack of portion size. Great hushpups, which I dipped in the comeback. Good "local pond-raised catfish" but would have been better with two filets like most places provide. And more dipping sauce for everything. The slaw wasn't as great as she suggested, or as plentiful. Finally, the bar: As I said, it's kind of divey. No craft or local beers on tap. But that's not unexpected. Just forewarning you. Verdict: Come for the ambiance more than the rest, but the rest isn't bad either.

Moi Birthday dinner two years in a row now…read more Moi absolutely favorite restaurant. The food is so Amazeballs. I dreamt of the Pork Chop we had last year, for the whole year, till I could get back here again & have it again for me Birthday.. and again, it was so freakin Amazeballs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nailed both pork chops. The Lafitte sauce is so delicious, just get it on everything, that's my advice haha :)... The tuna tartare was also so Amazeballs we had to order one to go. We also ordered the Fettuccine with the Lafitte sauce with chicken to go, ohmygosh hubby & I fought over that next day at brunch! :).. The cheesy grits are a must order. Not your average grits. The grind is a much heartier grind. The quality & texture is superb. And topped with their "Lafitte sauce" AKA crawfish cream sauce ohmygosh. Heavenly :)... Reservations are a must. Beautiful vintage space. Bar area is very nice. Service is great. Southern hospitality at its finest. Very Romantic restaurant. The Casablanca Booth at NOLA, is moi booth. "Play it again Sam" forever & ever. "la Vie en Rose" OuiOui. Highest Recommendations.

Not quite as knowledgeable about the menu as we would like but that's not a dealbreaker. Mike had the Saint Charles shrimp. It was incredible. Those grit cakes were the best I've ever had. The Lafitte sauce is so good. I had the Lafitte pasta with blackened and shrimp. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp. They were top-notch. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce has a nice smoky flavor. The house fries were tasty, but could've been a bit hotter. The rolls were nice and warm and served with real butter. Real butter is always a bonus. The homemade ranch with a side salad was really good. I noticed a couple of people mentioned the prices on the menu. This is quality, fresh seafood, it's worth paying a little extra for. Sadly, the server brought the check with without asking if we wanted dessert. I had debated on the King cake bread pudding, but she settled that for me. We would definitely go and do recommend Nola Sidenote, when we walked in the door, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady, with very bright pink hair. She was so friendly and polite, we were a bit disappointed that we did not get her as our server.

Restaurant empty probably because it wasn't dinner time yet. A lady who seemed to be her mom came and was friendly. I wanted an ice coffee. My companion wanted a regular hot coffee. She stated that she'd have to make a new batch since the existing coffee was old from this morning. That was thoughtful. While waiting, I looked at all certificates from health inspections, etc. On wall near front door. All looked expired. One expired last year and others were at least 2 to 3 years old I believe. This had me concerned and nervous. We got the coffee. Please note they don't have any specialty espresso in case you're a coffee fan. My companion says the coffee was very watery. So I never drank mine unfortunately over concerns listed above. There are no cafes in town that I know of with good coffee. I wanted to leave and get money back but I didn't want to be rude. Also I noticed the young lady putting ice with a bucket into the top of the soda machine. She compounded it down with the side of the bucket. I'm not sure how clean that method is. Maybe it would be better to use gloves and do it by hand to spread put the ice once you pour it? Just suggesting. I'm not sure how the food is since we only bought coffee.

They are nice, neat and friendly. Pleasant atmosphere, always endeavoring for cleanliness (they can't help when they are bombarded and can't keep up with messes for a few minutes) - they always have someone tending to cleaning! I love and appreciate their attention to little things like the little plastic table covers for when we have little guests with us. Little people drop food on the tables and this gives them a sanitary surface so IF they pick it back up and eat it, I'm not dying over fear of germs lol. Keep up the good work!!
