Alloush has become our top choice for Middle Eastern while dining in around Livonia. There are other great spots for carry out, but Alloush is the best sit down. The dining room has been updated with very comfy blue booths (maybe the best around). That staff is super friendly and inviting. One of the best parts is watching the soft pillowy bread come out of the hot oven right behind the counter. The Shish Kabob and Shish Tawook were both amazing. The grilled veggies are done perfectly and the fries are double fried crispy. The fattoush salad was as expected, super light and flavorful. My wife enjoys their chicken and veggie soup. We stopped by at Alloush Grill during weekend IKEA Haul. So glad we chose this place. They weren't so busy so we got seated immediately. The place was spotless and the vibe has modern minimal decor. Our server greeted us right away and got us water. He kept checking in on us during our meal. We got the Spinach pie, mint lemonade to start with. Their house bread with those two types of dip was just perfection. We got the Half grilled chicken, lamb sheikh Kabab and Veggie shawarma wrap! For sides we chose rice, lentil soup, salad, and fries. The portions were pretty decent. The food was fresh and everything tasted really good. My favorite was the grilled chicken and the salad. The soup was too thick for my taste and the rice was slightly different. I am more used to eating Basmati Yellow Pilaf. But hey the quality of the food was amazing! Each team member we encountered was very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was clean and welcoming to include the restrooms. The food, the food! But then the sampler platter came out. And it was Giant. Tons of tiny plates with all the staples you would expect. Everything tasted amazing, with the exception of the falafel. Was a little dry. For the price for two people,there was more than enough for both of us and plenty of leftovers. Came out to around 50 for the platter, but you get your moneys worth. Ken likes the regular more than the spicy, but he's wrong (more spicy for me!). Their fattoush salad is a good size, and the dressing is appropriately tangy. I get the grilled chicken breast sliced on top - this is the best grilled chicken I've had in forever! We had a large group and they sat at a nice large booth (turns out I'm too short for a booth as my feet don't reach the ground, oh well, short people problems) anyway, I love, love the spicy garlic sauce they give you and of course the fresh warm pita bread. This is dangerous since they give it to you right when you sit down so be careful not to fill up! I typically order a fattoush salad with chicken, honestly their salads are not recommended as they seem to lack the flavor I'm used to. We had a good experience overall and there are some standout dishes like the steak kabobs & deboned chicken (I didn't get to try either of them) and the dishes are large enough to share. I think I was expecting a bit more based on the high reviews. This was our first time here and we will be back! We arrived and immediately greeted. We browsed the menu and hubby thought that the Sampler Platter would be a good way to go - and it sure was! We tried a little bit of a lot of things. We loved: the garlic paste and bread (who can go wrong with garlic paste), falafel was one of the best we ever had, the dip sampler was incredible and I personally loved the Baba Ghanooj, hubby loved the lamb, I thought the chicken shwarma was very flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked (I love rice when it is done well and this was one of my favorite almond rice ever!), baklava was incredibly flaky and delicious Good but maybe not for us: -Spicy garlic was a little too much for me (I don't know what the extra flavor was but I did not care for it but that did not bother me as they brought out more of the regular garlic when we ran low), grape leaves are usually a favorite but these were served warm (never had them that way and they just did not ring my bell) Overall, there were only a few "almost" negatives but the positives outweighed them. First time here. Food is very fresh. I ordered the makanek & Sujok plates. I asked if they conserve them as an appetizer instead of a entrée, and they said yes. Unfortunately, there must've been a miscommunication and they brought me two entrées and charged me for two entrées. No big deal because I are both. They were amazing. Perfect amount of spice and seasonings. I also ordered the lamb shawarma sandwich. The meat was there and the sandwich was done right. We ordered the Arabic chicken sandwich. It's an also good but I didn't like that they cut it into 4-5 pieces so it made it difficult to eat as it was falling apart. I would definitely go back. Alloush's food is good but 3 times they forgot dressing with a salad order. One was for a catering event! Then when I called to tell them and I go back up there for a second time (when I didn't have time to) the young man had an attitude and was very rude and made me wait 15 minutes for the dressing. The food was not near anything Middle Eastern. I got the tawook chicken with salad. I received the salad, which was fresh and very standard but had to wait about 20 minutes for my chicken to show. After I asked the waiter about it, she washed it with a smile and said they were working on it!!!!! The chicken showed up about 20 minutes late, cold and very dry. Given the price tag, it wasn't good. The decoration is new and they tried to add a modern look to the restaurant, but the layout of the tables and space they allocated to the kitchen compared to the seating area does not seem to sync.
