My food always seem to be old and dry. The hashbrowns were so hard I thought they had been microwaved. The toast was hard and dry even with butter. My moms food looked amazing and she loved it. Was disappointed that the online menu was not representative of this location. This location did not have as many vegetarian options (namely falafel) which I was really looking forward to! Regardless, I had the vegetarian stir fry to go and it was delicious! The vegetable soup was also very yummy as well! I would come back just for a big bowl of that! Lots of well-seasoned veggies in a broth that wasn't too salty and had a ton of flavor! I've always enjoyed my meals, they are always freshly prepared, I am a fan of their Greek salads, and I can order while I'm pulling out of my driveway and it is ready when I arrive. This is a one-time review after dozens of visits over several years. Went with my son and his girlfriend today as he is home from college. Ordered a breakfast omelet (delicious) with pancake instead of hash browns. I saved the pancakes for the end and as I'm eating, my nose and mouth are just not comprehending "these pancakes are spicy!" WTF? I smell the pancake and realize, I taste and smell chili pepper/powder spice. I call the waitress over to tell her, "would you believe if I told you the pancakes are spicy, there is chili powder in them." A look of fear takes over her face, "yes. They made stir fry before the pancakes." She said, " I'm sorry. I will tell them." When I asked a few minutes later how did they react, "they just giggled." Simply put, this isn't just a harmless accident. My son has severe allergies to many spices. Had he gotten these, they wouldn't be "giggling" they would be calling 911. Everyone understands that fear of a medical emergency. The reaction really got me boiling inside. I kept my composure, paid and left. And I still left the waitress 20%. The cooks should know better. Their bullish¡t attitude toward the mistake is what really set me off. For this reason alone, I will not be returning again. Purchase two take out meals, one roast turkey dinner which was excellent and the chicken Parm dinner which was terrible. two small pieces of chicken over cooked and a whole pound of spaghetti with one cup of sauce. in the past 6 months this place has gone downhill. I would eat there once a week, the owners used to be in there watching over the place but I haven't seen them in a long time. Service has plummeted straight to the bottom. The cooks need to be fired for serving cold breakfast and is supposed to be made to order. Placed a catering order for a holiday party and when I arrived to pick it up they had no record of it. To be fair, they did make the salad on the spot.. BUT Its very disappointing when you expect something to be done, and its not - I think we can all agree on that. It would have been nice for the manager to apologize for the error, but he didn't. It won't necessarily keep me from eating here in the future, but I will be more diligent on confirming any future catering orders. But, despite this one hiccup - they do have some awesome food here. My first experience here was at the new Wixom location which is beautiful, comfortable, spacious and clean inside. The wait staff was polite and quick on their feet but a little extra training on their cuisine wouldn't hurt. When we sat down, we were immediately given our drinks and some bread with butter which we skipped out on because it was too dry (even with the butter). We ordered the gyro in both gyro meat and chicken which had the option of coming with a salad. We asked how big the salad would be and the waitress told us it was a 'baby' salad so we didn't expect much but to our surprise, it was much larger than we expected and with ample toppings which were fresh and delicious. Our gyros were also tasty but the chicken was a bit on the dry side and we would have liked to see more of the tzatziki sauce but that may just be a personal preference. We had rice pudding for dessert and the whip cream topping really helped to add some sweetness since the flavor is mild. All in all, we had a great experience and would go back again soon! read more

I went to eat breakfast at Red Olive on Sunday morning around 9am with my family. You have to get here relatively early on a Sunday morning because many people come to eat after church service. Overall the food is good and the staff are very friendly. I did notice a couple egg shells in my omelet but this was the first time it has ever happened. I have been to this restaurant for several years. The prices are very reasonable and and the wait time for food is short. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Coupons in circulars exist for 15% off - so even an added value for families. Booth and table seating - they turn tables quickly on Sunday. Never a too long wait. Hostesses are lovely and wait staff always asking for refills on coffee and other beverages. Just a great dependable place to go. Many families come and enjoy the atmosphere of friendly conversation and a turning crowd. I love the food at this restaurant but I will NEVER go back. They have a serious issue with getting a takeout order correctly. In the last two months they have made an error in 3 of my orders. My most recent order included a medium greek salad with chicken (serves 4), which I had them repeat for clarity. They still got it wrong!.......I received a small salad for one person and they did not include the pita bread order I requested. The other items on the order were correct. The waitress forgot a lighter to light our flaming cheese (Saganaki) Everyone knows you need to light Saganaki before eating It and this waitress told us that if we wanted It to be flaming cheese she would have to charge us for a whole new one.
