So the couple who manages the place are nice, but they were told by corporate not to inform people of the known rat problems. Would have been a great thing to know whenever the rent increased, I work two jobs and trusted that my stuff would be safe. If I would have been informed, I might have made it a point to get down there so they could put traps in or something. They did put a trap in my unit today , once we saw the evidence of the pooping bastards and made sure that I would be back in a couple days to ensure if a rat is caught, it's not laying there dead . First and foremost, the manager Katie is the very best and addresses any issues you may have with the unit or the property. i required a new door seal and it was replaced in timely fashion, she also went as far as cleaning out the gutters of leaf build up by the roof drainpipes. i have two 10x30 units which are a little pricey but when you take into account the security and cleanliness of the facility i am very satisfied. If the owner reads this please give Katie a raise as she is worth everything you pay her and more. read more

I have kept my personal belongings at Allsafe Self Storage since 2006. I am happy to say overall its been the best and security safest in the city. Clean, bug-free, great security system, and the best management. Sue, John, Tammy very professional managers and they are personable and helpful. I must admit I did experience a challenging Rat problem for about a year back in 2016-2017. Which I had not in previous years. I had found that the person next to me was a food business. and I was not notified of the problem. The last couple of years I did not have any signs of concerns. Overall, I rate this Self Storage a 5 on customer service, security, cleanliness, and location. **My suggestion is they do not rent space to food businesses. We looked at several self storage places and found this one the best. It is clean and it looks like it is well kept up. There is an elevator and a cart to move your things in. There are no bugs that I saw or spider webs. The agent, Sue, is very friendly and helpful. When we came in she was helping a rather challenging person, but she was so patient and helpful anyway! I have been a client for almost 3 years and always pays yearly to get a thirdteen's months free. Today i tried to make one year payment and pat (patricia) helped me and it took her more than 15 minutes to figure out to apply the 13th month promotion on the split payment and kept blaming on the system. She is clueless of what to do, arrogant (her attitude doesn't help to solve the problem), she really needs more training, need to appreciate more of customer's time and be kind to customer. At the end i didnt get what i have paid through in paper, until another employee print the whole statement. Also this place is full of RAT infestation and they did nothing about it. read more

I've been thinking about getting storage since I just moved to Fremont, and I saw this place driving by. I stopped in last week to find out about pricing and the woman there (Tammy) was friendly and helpful. She went over the layout of the facility and pricing, also offering a tour. I was a little pressed for time, but she insisted it would not take long. Her husband John gave me a tour, and was nice enough to show me units based on easy accessibility. He also seemed knowledgeable on what units would be the best fit for me. All in all, I am still debating on whether I actually need a unit. They offered to follow- up with me in case I had any additional questions and I agreed. If I decide to get one I will be coming here. They were very friendly and the place was clean. read more

I rented from Allsafe for almost 6 years, starting in 2014. Throughout the time, I found the facilities to be clean and well-lit - and didn't have to worry if I needed to access my storage unit early in the morning or in the evening. I also appreciated the switch a few years ago to emailed payment receipts, allowing me to know my payments were up to date in Allsafe's system. I have had my unit for about 7 years, and loved the managers that were there when I moved in. Dean was out every day cleaning and taking care of the grounds. There were NEVER mouse traps around. Then he and his wife Karina retired. New managers started and after 2 weeks I saw a change in the property. It just wasn't being kept up and eventually there were traps all over. Plus the bathroom was closed half the time (don't know why). They were rude and lazy. Now I am truly afraid to see what shape my belongings are in. Finally they were let go. New managers have started and they seem to be on top of maintaining the storage area and grounds from what I have seen. I hope they are successful. read more

I highly recommend this place. Nice, clean, and a very High-Tech storage facility with 24/7 video surveillance. The owner and his wife run this place very efficiently and are well organized. Units start at $39. My unit is $69 for a 5.5 x 7 ft. space that is about 9 ft. high. You can also set up your monthly payment by auto-pay which is so convenient. There are several two story buildings at this location that all have huge movers elevators. The stairwell is very roomy too should you need or want to use the stairs. Check this place out! In the midst of a move to South Bay and needing my items closer to Fremont area, I was looking for an affordable, convenient, and well-serviced storage provider. Allsafe Fremont has met all that criteria. It starts with the friendliness of Tammy and John who run the site. John gave me a tour of possible units that would meet my needs and ran through how pricing and payments would work. He explained how the site is secured via the PIN-access gate. They are extremely communicative and responsive when you need questions answered. The site is extremely clean and well kept. There are freight elevators if you happen to have a unit in the upper floor. The location is convenient to access off 880. Highly accessible and close to Fremont, Automall Parkway, and Newark. The gate access hours tend to be a larger time window than other storage options nearby, which will help give flexibility to when you need to access your items. There are a lot of storage options, but if you want good service with folks who are responsive to your storage/moving needs, I'd highly recommend Allsafe over others. read more

When we moved into this storage over 2 years ago, it was very clean. The managers at the time told us it would continue to be clean, rodent and bug free. I spoke to another tenant tonight who said they had been renting for over 20 years. They had never had an issue until now. 2 years later, aparently the managers have retired and there are new managers. And we went in tonight and there were rodent droppings all over our stuff. We were never informed that there was an issue with this. We also saw a used ice cream container sitting in the corner near the elevator. I am removing all of my belongings from this storage. The couple I spoke to tonight were not happy about the droppings in their unit either. read more

I had a mixed experience with this place. It started off great and ended on the opposite side of great. The managers are very nice and helpful. This being my first storage experience, they answered all of my questions, and showed me the storage unit I would be renting. The prices were fair, they had availability, and it seemed like a trustworthy place. So, I signed the agreement with them. We moved our stuff in and access was easy, but secure, all in all nothing bad to mention about that part. We had our stuff in there for seven months. During that time, we checked in on things about twice and all seemed fine. Then the day comes to move out. The first thing we notice is rat droppings everywhere. I mean everywhere. By the time we moved out everything, there was droppings all of the floor. Mostly everything was covered in plastic, plastic bins, or some sort of wrapping/box. But that plastic, plastic bins, and wrappings were covered in rat droppings and urine. It was disgusting. There was some things that I just had to flat out throw away. We had not covered our box springs for our bed, and they were completely damaged. We had a lamp that we did not cover and the shade and base were covered in rat urine. It was beyond disgusting. There were some things that I did not even want to unwrap since they were so gross, that I flat out just threw the whole bag or box away. We had pretty much our whole house in that storage and we did not get back our whole house. When I called to inform the manager that I was moving out, I informed them of the situation, and they said they were aware of the rat problem and were apologetic. They did say that they had never had the problem before and thought someone had brought the rats with them, which is gross. Then they informed me that the last month's rent is not prorated. So, although we moved out half way through the month, I paid for a full month regardless. Oh good, I paid for my stuff to get pissed on by rats and now I am paying for a storage unit that I don't need anymore. The topper of this all? I was charged for the following month, too. It was an error, but still I had to call the office to have them reverse the transaction. I mean really? So, overall, this place was just a big pile of rat crap. It didn't start off that way, but it sure ended that way. read more

The "stars" are based on the basic storage space -- it's the same as any storage facility. HOWEVER, the current managers are absolutely hands-down GREAT--the facility has never been better maintained or the customers handled with such courtesy and attention. The facility is now cleaner than even, payments are promptly posted, questions or problems are immediately addressed. Even the relief manager is super. This storage is a RIPP OFF!!!!! And the owners are RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL and have very BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. They will tell you as long as you give them a seven day notice of vacating the unit, your monthly payment will be prorated. This is a LIE. When I called to ask questions and get clarity on this the wife hung up on me twice and then the husband rushed me off the phone without answering my questions. I asked for the corporate phone number they said they couldn't give it out, theY hung up on me again. They refuse to prorate. Do not use them, they are rude and incompetent.
