DO NOT RENT A STORAGE SPACE HERE. They lure you in with a low monthly fee, then raise the rent nearly every month, knowing it is expensive to hire movers. We started using this place about a year ago starting at around $250/month. They slowly raised the rate and it is now up to $619/month. Terrible business practice and now me and my wife have to go through the process of switching storage places Bait and switch, drip pricing, hold-up problem, call it what you will. WARNING! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! I have been renting here for a while before the original owners sold it to this new company. It was a great place to store stuff long term. But since the new owners took over it's been nothing more than robbery. They put locks on the dumpsters. They took away hallway trash cans. The elevators are constantly broken. The new company started with using their insurance for a crazy rate. Even though I have homeowners insurance that covers storage they make it a big pain to prove it to them so you are forced to use theirs. They also have been going up every few months on my unit over the past few years to the point I'm paying triple what I originally was since they took over, now with just a 30 day notice they decided to MORE THAN DOUBLE IT OVER THE HOLIDAYS WHEN THEY KNOW PEOPLE DONT HAVE THE TIME TO MOVE!! Shameful!! They claim BS "we follow market rates" LIES! No one locally does that & most places at least lock you into a year lease. These scammers go up to whatever amount they feel like with only a 30 day notice. Also, beware if of the good reviews, they are incentivized. They give you half off for 3 months If you leave a good review. That's before they rob you blind a few months later. I will add that Joan & Michelle are nice people. I feel bad for them having to work for a bunch of scammers & having to deal furious customers daily due to corporate's bad business practices. If you want to store stuff for 3 months only then this is your place! But after 3 months, you better have unlimited funds because they will rob you blind until you move out so they can set the trap for the next sucker! read more
