I don't know who keeps in track of opening the store but I reserved a u-haul a week ago for today at 10:00am I show up at 10 and wait 20 minutes, the sign says open but no one's inside lights are off, I called them no answer, I called u-haul and all they were able to do is give me another business that was open, this set me back for time to move including movers I had to hire and was a huge inconvenience. next time you guys should open up on time or maybe train your employees better. read more

I've had my storage unit here for a month and everything has been smooth. I have an 8x10 on the second floor. Paid almost $200 for it all together. Feels secure and easy to access. The customer service here has been great as well. Miriam was the one who helped me with my paper work. She was helpful in getting me situated and providing all the details I need. Today I called into their office and an employee named PETER picked up the phone. He was a temporary sub from the La Habra location. He had a great attitude and was super accommodating with an emergency request I needed for my storage unit. This was my first time ever having a storage unit. We got such good service at Baker Fairview Self Storage. And we had a chance to observe the staff there while waiting, and everyone got the same good and respectful service. We had a choice of lockers, and bought a lock on the premises. They also sell boxes and mattress covers. EVERYTHING was explained to us. All units have an alarm. The place is very clean, both the office and the units. You can enter from both Baker and Fairview. If you're driving something big, we suggest you use Fairview (you turn in right before the Mexican restaurant). read more

I made a reservation online on 12/31 for pick up at 9am on 1/8. I received a call on 1/7 at 5:20pm, notifying me that my reservation would need to be pushed back until 9:30am as they don't offer self dispatch for vans. I spoke to George who was mad and very rude that he was inconveniencing me. He kept interrupting me while I was speaking as I was just trying to make sure what I reserved would be valid. It is now 10:09am and no one is here at the office and now I'm even more inconvenienced. I guess they just do whatever they feel. read more

I shopped around my local area for a good deal on a storage unit. Got quotes from three places. George and Maria at Baker Fairview were by far the most willing to give me a deal. They are friendly, knowledgeable and VERY competitive so, I went with them. I really like that there are alarms on the storage units - their security is much tighter that the last place I used. I was very impressed with their policy to donate a portion of my rent to one of three charities they sponsor. Classy!! Peter was great throughout the process which was fast and simple. We ended up with a great unit...the facility is new, clean and the units are in perfect condition. Security is excellent and the hours and access is convenient. One thing that makes a big difference is that the driveway space between the units is VERY large so you don't have to worry about moving out of the way for other people or not being able to get a big truck or trailer in there...it's a very well thought out facility. Of course they sell boxes, locks, packing material and all that stuff if you need it so there's some convenience here and there's also a few good places to eat and a liquor store for some red bulls when you are pulling that all day move thing. read more

Ok so I spoke to the manager who is in charge here. I needed a storage unit for 1 month (mid April to May) so only about one month. I was willing to pay for the full month. The man I spoke with acted like I was pulling his teeth out just because I would only need the unit short term (1 MONTH). He just rambled on and on about seeing what he could do (im sorry but these are MONTH TO MONTH RENTALS are they not?) I never asked to pay a different fee but this man proceded to tell me that id have to check back the next day when his employee was back (YES, HE WAS THE MANAGER) to give me a quote on my difficult request. HELLO!! I WAS WILLING TO PAY A FULL MONTH!! Besides, how does this man not know how to enter prices in a computer? And on top of this he told me $125 for a 10x10 unit when the website states and lets you reserve it for $100. read more

I had a really great experience here at the Baker Fairview Self Storage. As an international student, I had to fly back to my country for almost an year and looked for a space for furnitures, clothes, dishes, and my car. This place emailed me receipt every month so i could feel relief that everything's in it. What's nicer thing was when I came pick up stuff after a while. I was going to pick everything up to my new room but my friend got sick and I was sick as well, but since the space for everything + car was $330 and I did not want to pay for empty space, I moved everything to smaller unit. I was sick and all, I told John at the site, he helped me really good and made it much easier than without him. After me and my friend got better we went to pick everything up, and there I forgot side parts for my bed. I called Jhon and he kindly looked for it in 2 units that I had used, and found it, he gave me pictures not to make misunderstanding too. Peter was also very nice! Overall, I am very satisfied with the staff and their customer care/ support and after care, if you forget something in the storage. read more

I'm not one to take the time to write reviews however Peter deserves a high 5. Having to move is a pain putting your stuff in storage even bigger especially at the last minute. So at 3am the search for a storage unit was on, I made several reservations, however first thing the next morning Peter had called and left a voicemail. I went straight there as time was a factor. I walked in and it was like we were friends who knew who I was as soon as I said my name. He knew I was in a hurry so he quickly showed me my options and I rented the unit. He was so quick and friendly he had me out the door in no time. Just my luck, the next day I had realized I had accumulated way more stuff then the last time I rented the same unit size. Rushing again my daughter and I went back to get a larger unit, Peter was very busy getting ready for an auction, however I wanted to wait for him because of how helpful he was before. Peter reacted perfectly to the situation and worked it out so we got the unit we needed and he could still make his auction we could start moving and the paperwork would be ready when we were finished. Worked out perfect for both of us. He even went and got us a dolly. That was just super cool. Peter couldn't have done it smoother if he tried, he is great at his job an asset to the company and his customer service skills are right on. Two Thumbs Up!!! I got a great, first floor space at a fairly reasonable price. This place does not offer a discount for the first month but nor is it a franchise or part of a big chain. It is an independently run business with a very helpful and polite staff. Peter, the assistant manager, went out of his way to assist me. It is clean, well-lighted and well-run. Up until I tried to move out of my unit I had a great experience. The young man who helped me get my storage unit was kind and informative. Unfortunately the facilities Manager John G. was not so kind. My brother had purchased a group on for me as a gift because I could not print the group on. I gave him the money and he made the purchase for 3months of storage for $100.I moved into my unit on 1/25/14 a total of 7 days, all 28 days of February, all 31 days of March, and 14 days of April. In all 80 days instead of the 90 I should or could have gotten. I had gotten an email saying I was passed due on my unit. I called on 4/12 and talked to Peter I explained that I had a group on and shouldn't have to pay anything until 4/24 if I chose to stay. Peter told me not to worry and that it was a mistake. When I went to collect my things my code to enter did not work. I went in and informed John that my code didn't work. He checked in the system and said that why it won't open. You owe $133 your passed due you should have paid on the 1st.I explained to him what happened and also told him I called on 4/12/14 and talked to Peter who said it was a mistake. I even showed him the call details from when I spoke to Peter. John said that doesn't tell me anything. I said why would I come all the way down here knowing that I owed money? If it was money I actually owed then I would have paid it over the phone with Peter. Then the insults began. John told me it was my job to know when my bills need to be paid and my job to pay them on time. I told him I do pay my bills and I pay them on time this is not correct because I purchased a group on. He refused to listen to me and kept saying that his employees don't make mistakes. In order for me to get my things I had to pay $118 that I didn't have. My boyfriend was able to put it on his card. Otherwise I would not have gotten my things and been charged more. By this time due to the insults and my frustration I was crying. John said he would waive the late fee not because he thought I was right but because he wanted to show compassion! Then he decided to come up to me and tell me how there is no smoking on the premises. I don't smoke nor have I ever smoked. I certainly don't appreciate being accused of smoking especially since my grandmother just passed away from cancer caused by smoking. Then he said the person I with was smoking. I have no control over other people if they are smoking talk to them not to me. Apparently John had a problem approaching men so he felt the need to harass me more.. for something I didn't do. Now I am out $118for something I should not have had to pay to get my property back. Overall I am extremely disappointed. I had previously recommended Baker Fairview storage to my friends and they now refuse to use them as well. If you still want to use this company I recommend only speaking to Peter if you don't want to be put down or feel belittled. read more

I've used storage facilities for many years in many locations, but Baker Fairview Self Storage has been by far THE BEST I ever used! The buildings are well sealed against outside elements and that means your stuff will be protected and preserved. John Graubner deserves a shout out for being a good-hearted guy who goes the extra mile (or 2 or 3 if needed) to take care of clients who store their stuff there. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the service. I came in a few weeks ago and must say i regret it. I own a local business and was looking for a few large units to keep my overflow. I walked in to see a young woman on her phone as well as a young man doing the same. I walked up to the counter with no greeting having to introduce myself before i got any kind of a response. I felt as if I was interrupting there valuable time, the answers to my questions were short and not helpful at all. As i was asking for more information the womans phone goes off and she even checks it!! I felt so disrespected!!! I had to wait until the woman was finished before i could even ask anymore questions. I was quoted a price and i felt extremely unwelcomed. Never got a smile just straight and to the point. I highly doubt i will ever return the this facility. Dont get me wrong its a very beautiful facility but i must say the customer service is a joke. I do not recomend this facility.. read more
