Never had any problems until the past week. I was in building 5 unit 579A 6-26-24 I got a call from the property manager, Jasmine. I was notified that my storage unit "was tampered with and it looks like they weren't able to get in". At the end of the call she stated that she needed a key on file to work on getting the door fixed. I came in and talked to Jasmine and again insisted to have the key on file. Before I gave my key, I went to my unit just to check it out. I asked if there were any other units that were tampered with and she said that mine was the only one. I thought that was quite strange I went to my unit and I saw my unit was tampered with (they tried to pry the door open). I opened my unit and I saw everything was rummaged through. My bike and my camera were stolen. I was quite furious from what I saw and what was taken so I just locked up and went back to the front desk. I told Jasmine that my unit was broken in. I asked if I could see any video footage but I wasn't covered or insured so there's nothing I or A1 Storage could really do about it and that I would need to file a police report. There was not much sympathy but didn't think too much about it. I asked about when they would fix the door and she said it will be sometime within the week. Before I gave my key, I went back to my unit and took other valuables that they missed. I also put everything back and organized what was went through, locked up and went back to the office to hand Jasmine my key. I told her that the thing that was off was how they were able to lock the door with the metal shaft bent and my locks still in place 6-30-24 I came back around 6pm with my mom to my storage unit check my unit again just to take what other things that I could gather. After opening it up, my unit was rummaged through again. The door, lock/shaft looked to be the same as it was. It just boggled my mind how they were able to put it back without unlocking it. At this time I didn't want to assume but I was thinking maybe it was an inside job since they had my key and that I was told mine was the only one that was broken into. I was curious so I walked down neighboring units and I noticed a handful of units had their metal shafts cut open. My mom was worried for me so that's when I decided to just move out. Since it was already late, I thought to just do that the next day 7-1-24 I went into the office around 9am. The front door was closed and I called the number that was left on the door since it said they are on the property. Jasmine picked up and said that she'll be at the front desk shortly. She came in and she asked if I was the one that just called and showed me the red tag (tampered units). Seems like she remembers me from the week prior. I told her that my unit was broken into again. Again, no sympathy whatsoever, but I didn't need it. I then told her that there were 4 to 6 units that were broken into with the shafts cut. She looked frantic about the whole situation but who wouldn't if you're the only one managing the place. I asked if I could move out today and not be charged for the next month's rent since it is the 1st day of the month. She said I'm more than welcome to if I don't feel safe here. I was going to rate this place 0 stars but I thought granting me this deserved at least 1 star I started gathering my things and saw Jasmine, herself, working on replacing the shafts on the broken-into units. Made me wonder if she also calls the customers saying it looked like your door was tampered with but weren't able to get in I came across like 3 other people the day I moved out. I mentioned to them to be careful with the recent break-ins. I was glad I told them about it because they should know. However, Jasmine confronted me and asked me if I'm telling customers about the break-ins to not to do that because "it makes us look bad". Well, maybe they should have done a better job at securing the place. Btw, they should have door locks at the entry door of each building. I highly recommend to consider looking elsewhere read more

Great experience using A1 storage at this location. Jasmin was incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions upon "move in". My stuff was safe the entire time and she assured me that she keeps a close eye on who comes in and out of the storage so I was never worried. My only gripe would be that the storage floor was filthy when I moved in. But what can they really do to clean wood ‍. Other than this issue I highly recommend this location. read more

staff here are extremely rude. I called to see about prices I was greet with outstanding customer service , but when I showed up about an hour later to sign some papers and get my stuffed moved into my unit. That same lady that was so nice over the phone was a complete ***** to my husband and I !! That is just one of the incidents. I'm not sure if the gentleman that also works here is not any nicer. I wouldn't suggest this place not only because of the horrible customer service that I have experienced here but their storage units have cockroaches and are super dirty and the price on the are way overpriced read more

WARNING: Notified by phone this morning that storage unit was burglarized (along with several others)over the weekend. NO POLICE NOTIFIED "Because it's not our stuff". The metal locking component to the doorframe was sawed through... Staff stated that area manager Scott Yeaman had been on the property that morning and was aware, but it's up to the individual to notify police.... Most of what was stored is now gone. read more

This place has been great! I live so close I use it as a garage that I can actually find things in and it is temp controlled so I don't melt in there. Very clean, smells like a candle shop and all the employees I've encountered over the years have been more than kind. DO NOT STORE HERE! This is the THIRD time we have come here to get our stuff from our second floor storage unit and the elevator will not work! Door says open till 8 PM. Everything is locked up. There are people living on site in the upstairs apartment that just say "oh sorry we just live here we don't work here", call the emergency number, they are not even affiliated with A1. So they reach out to the on call number and then call me back saying "oh they said that you'll have to wait until morning and nothing can be done about the elevator tonight, but you can still access your second floor storage unit in the meantime. What good does that do and what common sense does that make? We have big items on our second story storage unit! Seriously can never get any help here with the elevator. DO NOT use this place. Horrible customer service. read more

On the positive side, the place is very clean and the prices for the upstairs units were reasonable. Example: Upstairs: $121 for the 9' x 13' unit we got. Downstairs: $302 for a 10' x 14' unit with drive-up access. On the negative side, the only way for a person to go to the second floor is by using the stairs at either end of the building. The elevator lift does not allow people to ride in it. The elevator controls are on the outside. Therefore, if you are moving upstairs, you either have to take your stuff up the stairs, use the elevator and leave your other possessions unsupervised while you run up the stairs each time to unload the elevator, or make sure you have two or more people to make the moving process easier. Overall, my opinion is that the design of the elevators at this storage facility is unfortunate, and they should explain this to customers over the phone, rather than allowing them to find out on their own after paying and showing up with a truckload of stuff. read more

U can store ur stuff here for a monthly fee. U put ur own lock on the door and u can go in or out as often as u want between 7am and 7 pm. U can put as much stuff in the storage spot as long as it fits. Some people really pack a lot of stuff in there! But then they have to move all that stuff out if they need something from the back That's why we put shelves in and only load the thing to like 30% capacity. Mostly camping supplies and Christmas decorations. Nothing really valuable in there U do have to buy insurance to use this storage. read more

My husband and I just relocated out here from the desert and we needed a storage unit FAST! I was a bit stressed and didn't know what to do. The representatives at A-1 transferred me to Maricela and she happily answered ALL of my many questions. I have since been to the facility twice for moving and she was very friendly and helpful each time. I highly recommend this facility, not just for the great pricing, but because of the service Maricela provides.
