We have been to many other Martial Arts Academies, and then we finally found Allstar Martial Arts!! My oldest son is Autistic and non-verbal. He loves Taekwondo!!! One of the places asked us to leave, because my son was too hyper, and they told us they can't help him. I share with Mr. Lord, Mr. Matt, and all the other staff how concerned I was about my son wanting to do Taekwondo with them. And without any hesitation they welcomed my son with open arms. My son started Allstar when he was in preschool. He had behavioral issues when he was younger, primarily due to attention, processing and issues with focusing. He is so confident, disciplined and so much more focused since attending Allstar. I continuously see improvements in his socialization skills as well and his grades! So many people comment on how respectful, compassionate and kind he is towards others! He has also learned endurance, self control, perseverance and discipline. Allstar is like our second family..I highly doubt my son would be so successful if it wasn't for Master Lord, his wife and kids (who are also black belts). Our son has been attending Allstar for close to 3 years, the instructors are great and it has taught him discipline, self control and how defend himself if every the situation arises that he needs to use martial arts skills. Master Lord is a very calm and has a wonder way with all the students, he is firm and fair. Some other studio's have a reputation of not teaching the ethics and principle Master Lord and his family of instructors have, its a friendly and welcoming. I could not be more happy with Allstar Martial Arts!! My son has attended for 7 months and I have seen his demeanor change as each month passes. He is very shy, nervous, and has a lot of anxiety. The staff has been more than welcoming and helpful. We have felt as if we have joined a family and not just a weekly class. I really could not ask for a more kind and caring environment. My son has been going to AllStar Martial Arts for 2 years. He's currently a blue belt working on his red belt. He LOVES AllStar! The classes are well structured, changing up things a bit so you don't get bored. I also like that they teach the kids about bullying and how to handle it if a situation arises. During belt testing and awards ceremonies, I am always impressed with Master Lord because he knows every child's name and can tell you something about him/her. The week after belt testing is Fun Week and my son cannot wait for it! You can bring a friend or parents and join in the fun during class. My two sons transferred to Allstar Martial Arts after participating in TKD at another location that closed. Master Lord allowed them to keep their same belt rank and has been working very hard with them to get them to the level they should be. They are extremely professional and have high expectations for their students. They work on creating a well rounded student that is strong in all areas. They do an excellent job teaching Tae Kwan Do while also expecting their students to excel in all other areas of their lives. My son has been attending Tae Kwon do classes here for 2 years. It is family run business and very organized. They keep you very informed via emails and website about everything going on.
