I would not recommend this company to anyone. We have used the service for years for openings,…read moreclosings and service in between (mostly because we had renters in our home for 2 of the last 4 years). For the first two years, they were disorganized, but always very nice and the pool always looked great. We would rarely receive a bill and had to ask for one, which was often wrong. The service visits were supposed to be bi-weekly, but sometimes they would show up weekly (we are unaware of the frequency of visits while we had renters). We let them know of the mixup and eventually received the corrected bill (at the end of the season, for the whole season). They only accept Venmo as online payment, which credit card companies apparently see as a fraud hazard, so getting a proper bill and paying it was a challenge. Either way, we still liked them because they were always so nice. This year, I called and spoke to a woman from Atlantis Pools to set up our pool opening and bi-weekly service. The opening (May 8) was fine except when they left, the pool was a little cloudy. They said they would return to vacuum it once it settled and "finalize the opening" the next day. No one showed up the next day, but instead came on May 13. This was a young woman who was new (and alone) and didn't know how to do everything. According to a conversation later with the owner, she didn't know which vacuum to use (or something to that effect), which is why the pool still had debris in it when she left. She also didn't know how to connect the Polaris (perhaps send someone with her until she learns everything??). She came again on May 15 and connected the Polaris, finalizing the pool opening. I was never told the "finalize the opening" visits would each be an extra $95 charge. I didn't request these visits. Our bill states the charges as a "green to clean" charge, but our pool was not green. These things aren't even the worst of it. When the first actual service visit came around, no one showed up! I called the owner, who was rude and dismissive. He said we weren't on his calendar despite me setting it all up with whomever answered the phone the first time I called. He eventually said, "It's not going to happen today! I can send someone out tomorrow." He said asked which plan we were on, weekly or biweekly. I said biweekly. Someone came out the next morning and again (not sure why) in the afternoon. The young woman and a man walked up to our pool pump, looked at it and said, "F*** this. I ain't doin' sh**. Let's ride." We have a security camera and saved the footage. The next service date came and went with no visit. We let the owner know of all of this and he continued the pattern of unprofessional behavior. He suddenly decided that we hadn't given them a service contract (that we never received and have never had in the 3+ years we've used this company) so that's why they didn't show up. We checked spam folders, just in case. No such contract was sent. Save your time and frustration. Call someone else.

There's no sense that you're being taken advantage of because you aren't. The last time they came out they replaced some plumbing for me and were in and out without a fuss, answered some unrelated questions for me with an impressive enthusiasm. Pricing is always fair.

We had seen the fox pools vans around and decided to give them a call (07/2022). Fox came out within 24 hours and replaced our shaft seal and impeller and the leak was fixed. They totally could have taken advantage of new pool owners and tried to upswell us a whole new pump but they were honest and only fixed what needed to be fixed. The technicians were on time, very quick and knowledgeable. Also, fox pools texts you a link when they are on the way and you can see when the technician is on the way, when they are complete with the repair and when your invoice is ready. Think like the dominos pizza tracker! Very nice feature as we are sometimes not home when they come for service. Fast forward to the end of the season (11/2022) the motor for the pool pump went out (I tried replacing the start capacitor but still no good) the motor and pump assembly looked pretty old so I contacted fox pools and they recommended to only replace the electrical motor side as the water pump side more than likely still has a good bit of life left in it. Their recommendation saved us several hundred dollars. And to this day the pump is running great. Our the next summer after replacing the motor (06/2023) we went to open the pool and we were not getting the water clarity we were used to. Knowing that we had lived in the house for two years now and who knows when the previous homeowners had the sand changed out we decided it was time to have the sand changed out in our Hayward sand filter. Fox pools came in cheaper than other pool companies in the area and with their great work and communication we went ahead and got on their books. They were out in a few days and changed out the sand and inspected the laterals, they were very quick with the work and after that it was back to crystal clear water. Fast forward again this time to this week (10/23). Fox replaced our tattered old water bag tarp cover with a GLI promesh cover. Price was fair, turn around time was great and it looks fantastic. They also closed and winterized our pool at the same time. I'm shocked how efficient they are. Had the pool closed and new safety cover installed in about an hour and a half. In conclusion, Fox Pools is an honest, reliable and professional pool service who will take great care of your pool.
