This year ,however, they dragged out their response. We needed our roof repaired after the tornado and hail damage. Not only is it now 6 months later and we had to hire someone to fight them to get a new appraisal. The mediator worked with them and they agreed to a certain amount for replacing the roof. Weeks later and still no check. We get an email saying they will only pay 1/3 of the agreed upon price. So, now we have to fight some more plus pay the person we hired. I'm furious! We will be canceling our State Farm policies and looking for insurance somewhere else! Look for any insurance company but State Farm. They want to take your premiums and cover nothing!

The insurance industry is increasingly using data and advanced modeling to improve how policies are rated. The Enhanced Rating Plan now uses over 200 rating variables, compared to about 75 previously, to create more personalized and accurate premiums. A greater amount of data from third-party consumer reports will be collected and used within rating models. Examples may include: Vehicle Information Driver Information Prior Insurance History Claim Information Annual Mileage Consumer Credit Information Vehicle Safety Features We do not have any specific information other than described in the first paragraph. I never asked for that date, not insinuated the need for that date. The next day April 2nd I followed up to solidify the quote and mentioned, for the first time when I would need the insurance (April 18th). I was happy with the quote and indicated that to the licensed person. I went out of town and came back to follow up and purchase my insurance on April 15th and the quote had increased by almost $30/mo. I asked why, bc I had a quote. They told me bc it was noted as Effective April 1st it could not change. I called SF CS and asked them if i had a quote given to me on April 1st would it expire by April 15th. They said no you should be good. I told him, online you get a quote and it usually expires in 30 days. Yes, you should be good, they said. I also asked if their was a rate increase and he indicated, no. The next day I called Jenny Stewart's office back and they said we have nothing to do with it we just place the effective date and it spits out the price. I don't doubt that is true, but read on. I called SF CS again and they stuck to their guns about the quote should remain the same. They called Jenny Stewart's office and altered their story. Why? I do not know. It's a guess, but they told me that she would call me to explain. Did I get a call? NO! The reason for my rant. I got an email at 5:19 PM, at the close of the day saying the they had a rate increase on April 15th. And that was it. Jenny Stewart obviously did not want my business! I surely do not recommend her!

I've never been late on a payment, as i opted for automatic payments to receive the discount. Several times now I've been shocked by the amount debited to my account. When i call this office for an explanation there is always something such as "a multiple car discount was removed from your account" (which i haven't had multiple cars on my account for over two years, and this excuse has been used twice already when payments jumped drastically) or there's been an adjustment to your premium due to this reason or another. I've never been given a heads up there will be higher payments. I've been told several times that an initial higher payment was taken out, but the next few will be lower, only to be surprised again the following month. The only reason i haven't changed insurance companies yet is because i have enjoyed the coverage and i hate changing companies, as i prefer a long-standing business relationship. Unfortunately, Mr. Reeves seems to not care about this at all and offers no help and no understanding how some people live on a budget despite multiple attempts and pleas to have him provide a more stable payment routine. I am extremely disappointed with this business and it is not at all what i knew of state farm businesses in previous states I've lived in.
