We have had State Farm home and auto insurance for 26 1/2 years. We have made two claims in that time. The first time their response was acceptable. This year ,however, they dragged out their response. We needed our roof repaired after the tornado and hail damage. Not only is it now 6 months later and we had to hire someone to fight them to get a new appraisal. The mediator worked with them and they agreed to a certain amount for replacing the roof. Weeks later and still no check. We get an email saying they will only pay 1/3 of the agreed upon price. So, now we have to fight some more plus pay the person we hired. I'm furious! We will be canceling our State Farm policies and looking for insurance somewhere else! Look for any insurance company but State Farm. They want to take your premiums and cover nothing! read more

Roy may be a good agent, I don't know I only worked with Shirley and she was horrible. I was in a hit and run car accident and was told by the representative on the phone that my coverage for Uninsured Motorist was missing and I would only be able to get a claim approved if the Agent agreed. I went into the office and that is where my nightmare started. I sit with Shirley, who doesn't ask how I am doing after my car accident just pulls up my file and says they won't cover it because of my insurance. I admit that was a mistake on my part and ask if she can give me the list of repair shops they use so that I can at least get a trusted repair. Nothing. I ask how much it would cost to add the UM coverage and she tells me, "Well, if we add Home Owners Insurance you can save some money." I tell her, "I don't want Home Owners Insurance I want UM, how much will UM cost me?" Again she repeats herself, "Well, you could save some money with Home Owners Insurance" this time I reply, "I won't save money, I will be buying Home Owners Insurance, my parents own this property anyways and they have insurance, how much will UM cost?" She replies, "Okay, well if you get some Renters Insurance, you can save some money" so I leave. I write a complaint to the agent Roy Moreno, and he replies the next day, seems friendly and apologizes for Shirley's inhuman display of respect and care, and tells me he will send me a list of Repair Shops they use in the area. Nothing happens. I spent 14 years insured by State Farm, and the previous agent Bill Hooten was a family friend of my parents, after he retired this office has gone down hill. I spend $900 a year on insurance for a 10 year old car and that doesn't even include UM (which I found out would be upwards of $100 a year to add) Not to mention my entire driving life has been with State Farm and they can't even show me the respect of asking how I am doing. All they care about at this office is the Bottom Line, and the Bottom Line is, if you aren't throwing thousands a year on insurance they won't do anything to help you, won't even share a list of repair shops they trust. I feel so disrespected by Roy Moreno and his entire staff, I would NEVER recommend them to anyone, not even an enemy. read more
