Let me start by saying I do not write reviews that often, I'm pretty sure this is my first on Yelp. To start, I have dealt with insurances agencies in the past before I moved to Washington. Even when not at fault, it always felt like I was at fault and there are hidden fees and various things that insurance companies do not tell you, then you end up paying in the end. My experience with Nicole and Barry was the complete opposite. I have never had a better experience with insurance agents before in my life. Nicole was there for us hours after the accident, told us what was going to happen, the process going forward, and stayed on the line while navigating the claims and set up appointments with body shops after the call. Nicole was more than helpful, she asked the right questions, gave me information and advice even when I did not ask for it because with her years of experience, she knew I would need it. I had never felt more calm after an accident or after talking to an insurance agent in my entire life. I could tell she cared, felt my frustration, and wanted to help. I appreciate Nicole for being an amazing agent and genuinely great human being. Barry followed up after the weekend. He called Monday morning (the accident was Thursday before 4th of July weekend) to follow up to make sure we were okay and everything was handled. The initial response from Nicole and follow up from Barry alongside the genuine compassion and desire to actually help their customers is something that is unseen in todays world. I've been using Barry for many years for Auto, Home, umbrella and landlord's insurance. The only claim I've had to make involves the landlord's. This became necessary due to Seattle's "eviction moratorium"; uninterrupted for 2 years. So extreme that I had to watch the tenants destroy the house, yet unable evict. Thank God finally they abandoned the place leaving thousands of $ in damage. I'm selling the place as a tear down now. The process is ongoing as it's been difficult to get contractor bids to access the damage thus complete the claim. Nonetheless Allstate has been both patient and helpful. My family has received no money from the government for what they did; the only funds have come from insurance. Yea capitalism! Yea Barry! read more

Barry and his crew are first class. It's not a great thing when you need to call your insurance agent and it always helps when they greet you warmly, listen quietly and then offer up great advice. We recently had a dishwasher leak on us and the experience with Allstate was seamless. This is a lengthy review so if you don't have time to read it all, just know I cannot recommend Barry and Nicole enough!!! I have been a client for 14 years and have my home, umbrella, and car insurance with Barry. Like most people, I hoped to never need it but always found Barry and Nicole very helpful and knowledgable. For example, one day out the blue Barry had called me to let me know what because I had updated my car insurance due the increased mileage I was driving for work, I should consider paying $5 more every 6 months to have my windshield deductible lowered. Sure enough a few months later I got a rock chip, l needed to have the whole windshield replaced and was thankful to have a $100 deductible versus my previous $500. That's the kind of service and consideration Barry and Nicole provide. More recently I bought a new car and while at the dealership, the finance guys asked for my insurance information and said they would call and update Nicole with my new vehicle info. I didn't think to check that it had been done and given that I was enrolled in auto-renew, I never bothered to double check. Fast forward and my wife gets in an accident and I realize I was still paying for insurance on the vehicle I traded in months ago. I had been faithfully paying for coverage but not on the right vehicle. Allstate denied my claim and frankly, I understand why and it was my fault for not double checking. I tried to explain to the adjuster and her manager that I was still paying to ensure a Jeep (my new vehicle was the same make/model as the old one), and had never missed a payment or lapsed coverage. The answer was still no and the cost of repairs would have been well over $20,000. Then I reached out to Barry and Nicole. They understood they mistake and made it their mission to get Allstate's decision reversed. They spent weeks appealing the decision despite also getting repeatedly told "no". They would reach out to me every week, updating me on the most recent denial and kept saying "we aren't done fighting for this." This went on for weeks and Barry and Nicole kept pushing back. They could have stopped and I still would have been grateful for their hard work but they kept pushing back. After nearly 2 months, Allstate agreed to reverse their decision and issued coverage. There is NO way this would have happened without their extraordinary efforts. And Allstate wasn't in the "wrong", they just didn't have the full context. So I will never shop around for a better "deal" on insurance because Barry and Nicole gave me peace of mind to know no matter what may happen, I am in great hands with them. I have never had a better customer experience and I am a customer for life! You won't ever regret joining Barry Hasson and Allstate! read more

I have known Barry and his team both in a professional manner, as a former real estate office manager for 11 years, and as a customer for over 13 years. When I transitioned into a new career, I thought it might be wise to pinch pennies and save a couple of bucks on my 4-star insurance through Allstate by going through a reputable discount brokerage instead. Big mistake! The broker that serviced my transition to the new company was inept and unfamiliar with insurance laws and the basic logistics of my home. For example, my 1929 house had an oil tank; the agent seemed ill-prepared to deal with a policy involving this simple heating method in older homes. When I moved from my property and became a landlord, the situation only grew worse. After a series of errors and ineptitude, I humbly called Barry and begged him to take me back. He was gracious and respectful of the decision I felt I needed to make only months prior. When I came in to sit down personally with Barry, he thoroughly reviewed my policies - rentals, business, home - and saved me even more money than the discount brokerage because he was knowledgeable about discounts I was entitled to as a small business owner.
