My family brought auto and life insurance from Shelley for 10+ years and just find out it's a rip off! My dad's car was totaled in an accident, it should be remove from the policy (why pay insurance on a car not exist?), but Shelley keep the policy for another 6 months, which do nothing but cost more money. Life insurance is worst, when my family brought the whole life insurance from Shelley 10+ years ago, she claimed that this plan is wonderful, it can save money, you don't have to make payment after 10 years blah blah blah, but the truth is, the COI (cost of insurance) is so high, the saving won't cover the insurance cost and 10 years later, we end up with almost nothing! My mom has no choice but to discontinue the life insurance. For those of you who have life insurance will know how horrible it is to cancel a life insurance plan after 10 years with little money left in the saving plan. It's like the Bernard Madoff scam in the insurance industry! When we try to confront with her of course she denied everything. "it's the way it is...", "every insurance are the same...". I didn't need that, but needed general liability and workers comp. I got the liability set up and all was good. Three weeks ago I called to setup workers comp so that I could hire an employee as my business was growing. I was given a quote, agreed with the pricing, and was told I'd hear back from them the following week once everything was submitted to their underwriters. I was told it was ok to hire someone because the policy would be effective the date I originally called. So I hired an employee. Now, again three weeks later, I just got a call from Ben saying that my policy was rejected because they needed 2 years of loss history. As I told Wendy in the initial call, I had workers comp previously for one year. So, all of that to say this. This is a textbook example of incompetence, as NO ONE ever said anything to me about needing to have 2 years of workers comp history, until today. I've wasted 3 weeks of my time with these people, and because of them, I've got an employee and no workers comp. Thanks for nothing Ben.
