Whatever happened to needing a signature to initiate a policy? What a nightmare! Perhaps my lawyer can resolve this!

Actually, I had Progressive back when I first moved to the city and couldn't afford the plan offered by my former carrier. Naturally, I assumed that affordable insurance meant that they were crappy to deal with, which wasn't the case with this Progressive service center at all! The rep who was put on this case set up an appointment for me to visit this location in Earth City. I was under the impression that I was just going to stop by and get pics taken of the damage to my car and they'd provide a list of auto body shops where I could get it fixed. Instead, they took the car, put me in a sweet rental (that was paid for!), and promised that my car would be fixed within a few days. That was Monday and it's now Thursday - my car is looking way better inside and out! I almost didn't want to return the Dodge Charger (black with tinted windows!) that I was driving around, but I couldn't leave my Sonata behind :) The same gal who helped me on Monday was there to greet me this morning - it was nice to have the same person helping me through the process. She was pleasant and easy to deal with all-around. Major props to Progressive for a job well done. Am considering switching back to them.

I had been with Progressive insurance for the last several years and they started off pretty good but I made the mistake of joining their "snapshot" program and after 6 months regretted I ever did, I got dinged for everything! My insurance kept going up higher and higher and I was puzzled bcuz I'm a senior citizen with no accidents or anything on my record and my credit score was good so I wasn't understanding why I wasn't getting better rates. I paid over $300 a year for renter's insurance...WHY?!! And almost $800 every 6 months, soon to be over $800 on my next 6 month renewal in June for car insurance on a car 10 years old!!! I received a card in the mail some time back from Kathy, looked at it and laid it on the table with all my other unread mail, thank God I didn't throw it away! When it came to me just how much I was spending on insurance, I remembered the card and decided to call the lady on the card to see what difference she could make and boy am I glad I did. Her office is close to home, her assistants were very hospitable and I got the service I had been longing for. Turns out Donna was able to get me comparable coverage for almost $500 cheaper than what Progressive was charging me and I paid $200 less for renter's insurance. Talk about saving me money, that's a nice chunk of change, thank God I didn't toss Kathy's card in the trash as I normally would have thinking it was just junk mail!!! When I bought my first house with my husband back in 2011, we switched to a multi-policy for Home and (3 vehicle) Auto Insurance.
