After 43 years paying premiums I had the occasion for a claim for Roof damage requiring roof replacement. Allstate refused to pay anything in spite of it being "VERY" obvious that I needed a new roof. Despite obvious damage from storms & loose shingles every where; they insisted that it was from faulty installation. They are liars, frauds, & thieves who refuse to pay claims, but never hesitate to raise the cost of premiums. When all is said & done they are a Company w/o Character, Conscience, nor Integrity!! I have had Allstate Motor Club since 2013, which included RV Tow Service. On January 3, 2017, my RV Travel Trailer vehicle had a tire blow-out on a very busy and rainy Interstate 5 Highway in California. When I called my Allstate Motor Club for tow service, the CSR person at Allstate told me that there were no tow companies willing to come to my aid to change my vehicle's spare tire on the I-5 Highway. At the time, my adult daughter was with me and she called her AAA "Auto Club of California" to see if they could help us find a tow company. Within 3 minutes, AAA found a nearby tow company willing to help us with our flat tire. About 45 minutes later, Eppler tow service showed-up at our location and removed my blown-out tire and changed my spare for me. Of course, because my daughter's Auto Club of California membership did not include RV Towing Service, I had to pay Eppler Tow Co. the $300.00 out-of-my-pocket, which I gladly paid. In short, I received better service from my daughter's AAA Auto Club of California then I did from my membership with Allstate Motor Club. I would not recommend Allstate to anyone. On January 30, 2017 I cancelled my membership with Allstate. Hence, I am now a new member with AAA Auto Club of California. I am a 100% disabled Vietnam Veteran and I would not recommend Allstate Motor Club to anyone. They are a rip-off! read more

After being told I have to wait 3-4 hours for a tow, I called the towing company across from where I broke down. I filed a claim ...got an email saying my refund check was in the mail. Three months later, and 5 cancelled checks and waiting 14 days from when it was supposedly sent (per their emails) and calling their CS 8 times, all in India, and getting the same response, "I will sent the office and email and have them send out a new check". ..I had 3 reference numbers, and they could never find them...all I got was promises to waiting 10-14 days. I'm so done with this company.. They have no number to call in the billing office...like they don't have phones there!! I spoke to 4 "supposed " supervisors in India, who use made up names. I tried to get a quote from Allstate and used their on line form. It went fine until my marital status question. When I said I have a domestic partner (we've lived together for seven years), they said I could not possibly have a domestic partner because... (prepare yourself) We are not of the same gender. They had a choice of "registered domestic partner", which I did not choose, just domestic partner. Allstate Motor Club actually sent me 2 letters in the mail informing me of an account issue rather than sending 1 email. I tried updating my account information online 2x (after I got the letters 2 weeks later) and had to finally CALL someone because the online system never recorded my changes. Think about how antiquated it is to do business like that in 2020. I haven't needed help yet, but I am half-expecting that they might send a horse and carriage to rescue me instead of a tow truck. I would give Allstate a 0 if I could. I'm trying to be nice about my issues with them specially due to COVID, but I'm at a loss. I'm not their policy holder, but I sure hope they aren't treating their policy holders this way. You are not in good hands with this bunch. I was reared ended by someone who has Allstate as their carrier. I filed the claim the day adapter the accident. I had to send picture of all angles of my car. Allstate refused to virtual chat with the body shop until they made their original estimate based on the photos. I waited ... then I called them cause their original estimate was taking forever. THEY LOST MY PICTURES Mind you, while they were taking their sweet time, the body shop gave me their own estimate. Allstate's estimate was less than half of the shops estimate. It was truly a bs estimate. I called Allstate back and was like can we do the virtual assist chatting to assess the damages? They told me the body shop should start repairing based on their bs estimate. The body shop then called them and explained there was too much damage that they just simply could not do that. Allstate then said we have to do a supplement process and told the body shop to send their estimate to a email. The shop communicated with me as soon as they sent it in and told me when they should expect an answer from Allstate by. Four days past and still no answer from them. I call yet again and ask what is taking so long in this process. They then tell me that the body shop was suppose to virtual chat with them and not email them. That's what they told them to do.... so a day pasts and I call the shop to see if they tried getting a hold of Allstate to discuss my cars damages. They then say that they tried reaching Allstate several times but their virtual assist app is down and that Allstate is aware of it. It's been two weeks and my car still has not been looked at when it's not drivable. I truly believe they're not even trying to fix their app, or that it's not even broken. A bunch of liars. I called them at least 20 times through our this entire process so far. Still know nothing. A bunch of liars. I have a feeling it will be awhile until I know anything and get my pay out. I only gave them one star because I had to rate in order to submit my review. I was so excited to find an agency that could provide me with the insurance coverage for the price I needed to meet lender requirements when purchasing my home. However, to get the price I needed I had to bundle my car insurance. Well everything was fine until I received a phone call from an agent with the company basically accusing me of not listed my adult son on my policy. My adult son who does not live with me nor does he ever drive my vehicle. I then spoke to my agent and expressed how upset I was by this and that I wanted to cancel the auto policy but keep my homeowners policy. She advised me that I had to wait 60 days to cancel or face a penalty and that once I cancelled my discount that I received for bundling would be retracting and charged when I renewed my homeowners policy. OK so fast forward to the date she told me to call and cancel she now does not recall telling me I couldn't cancel when I asked about it two and a half weeks prior and was extremely short with me. Long Story Short. I will NEVER work with AllState EVER again. I have been with GEICO for over 7 years and although they couldn't get my homeowners insurance to where it needed to be for my home purchase it was not their fault. Now that I own my home and no longer under the eye of a lender, I will obtain homeowners insurance with them when this policy expires in May 2021. read more

Allstate insurance client rear ended me and caused damage to my pickup truck. I drive a truck as I am handicapped and have entry and exit problems and risk possible falls. I filed a claim and adjuster contacted me. She questioned my medical need for a pickup and why I was handicapped. I gave her a basic explanation without getting into my medical privacy rights. Later, I discovered that Allstate doesn't recognize medical privacy. The adjuster ultimately allowed a full size truck and arrangements were made to have my vehicle repaired. I thought we had reached an agreement. That was until "Zack" decided to interject himself into the situation on the day after Thanksgiving. Apparently he is also an adjuster and over ruled the previous agreement and he harangued me about my handicap, my need for a "full size truck" versus a "small truck" and demanded to know my medical information. We continued to talk and as we did, he became more rude and abusive so I hung up the phone. I later checked with the rental agency the insurance company uses and learned the weekly cost differential between a full size and a small pickup truck was twenty five dollars! $25 dollars difference in cost for an entire week. I was put through an inquisition, had my Thanksgiving weekend ruined, my blood pressure pushed to limits to accommodate this character's ego and his desire to save Allstate twenty-five bucks. I have been aware of the terrible reputation Allstate has earned and now I can verify that they are very difficult to deal with and their reputation is well deserved. This time I needed a jumpstart of my battery and they sent me a young woman in a private car w/ a battery jumping system. Young lady did NOT know how to pop my hood and had to go flipping thru a company provided app on her phone to find out how! BTW she didn't find her answer I had to give it to her thru the owners manual. When I called the company to complain I wound up talking to an India based call center person who did not have any level of proficiency in English. TRUSTING ALLSTATE WAS ONE OF THE WORST MISTAKES I MADE. I agreed to allow Allstate to cover my auto insurance after getting a quote of $149 per month. I paid a fee of $182 for the first month. After the first month Allstate sent me a bill for $249. I had not used the vehicle that was covered at all for the first month so I was concerned why I was being asked to pay an additional amount of $249 for the month. I called customer service, and the customer service was horrible. Customer service assured me that they would resolve the issue but never did. After weeks of dealing with the horrible service, and lack of integrity I canceled the horrible insurance policy. Allstate is a scam company that TRY'S TO STEAL millions, if not billions, from it's customers. There is NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY. Allstate has NO INTEGRITY according to my experience as they led me to believe they would cover me for one rate, and tried to extremely overcharge me at another rate that I did not agree to. Be very careful with them. They have a hidden penalty buried deep in their disclosures, if you cancel your policy regardless of how long you've been a customer they will charge you a fee. In addition, they can leverage that fee at anytime. I just received a bill from Allstate for 770 dollars, the policy has been cancelled for a year. They can't even provide a breakdown of the charges. Allstate insurance may be good, and you would think that the Motor Club (a part of Allstate) would be just as good, not! Having recently returned from being stationed in Germany for a number of years and having A.D.A.C (German version of AAA), that is probably one of the best companies of this type in Europe or even the world. I had the family plan broke down twice in different countries with family and or friends, both trips vacation. They paid for everything, the towing from the country I broke down in to my hometown dealer, the rental car, the hotel rental. everything. With Allstate, I broke down on vacation in a different state, I have the family plan, I called the 800 number to get approval, they gave it, we towed the car and flew home. We had $1500 trip interruption insurance and had gotten approval. We filed all documents on time as instructed, dotted all the I's, crossed all the T's did everything by the book. We broke down in Aug 2018, and to this day Feb 2019, we have gotten written notification that we are being denied re-imbursement. If you travel far from home, I would stick to AAA, stay away from this. I cancelled my regular insurance due to this and my agent stated that corporate knew that many customers are complaining and the agents are actually losing customers and they (Corporate) basically do not care. read more

I have mold behind my basement bathroom walls for some reason possible a water pipe broke in the wall sent them some photos of all the damage that has been done and wanted a Insurance adjuster to come out and look at the damage I was told by a POS guy named Jeff Schultz that thinks he knows everything WITHOUT even sending someone to come look at it say its a foundation issue and water was leaking in from that and it was there before we bought the house first off how the hell do you even know it was there when we bought the house you didn't inspect the house which by the way we had it inspected with a company with a thermal gun to see if there was moisture in the walls and had the foundation inspected all checked perfect and clear which i have the photos to prove it. Their legal services network is horribly managed. I received numerous assurances that an incorrect entry would be removed from their database, but they never followed through. Even a manager was unable to solve the issue I raised to them on several occasions. So DISAPPOINTED as long as I've dealt with Allstate I was left on the side of the road since 130pm trying to get roadside assistance which is included in my policy. I couldnt use the mobile app because the policy is in my parents name. After numerous attempts calling road side and getting transferred over and over again and still end up with the automatic machine Finally at 430pm someone came all the way from Sarasota on his day off to fix my tire only because he seen me still out on the road he dont answer phone in his day off . Refused to inspect either damaged vehicle, refused to inspect accident scene; instead totaled both vehicles and then said, it was a minor accident, your medical expenses we will only cover at 80%? They have a Nevada Insurance License, but DO NOT HAVE a Nevada Business License and since they have paid employees in this state, they are legally required to. This company is a sham. Lazy, unethical, shysters. My medical bills were over $22,000, they offered to pay 80% and said, since only minor accident, you obviously weren't in any pain or discomfort. There is no reason you should be nervous or anxious while driving. There are no lasting effects from being smashed and abused. If you have Allstate, save money and switch your policy today. If you are involved in a claim with an Allstate policy holder, I am sorry for you. Best advice, get an attorney, today, before it's too late. I was online filled out a form regarding getting quotes for auto insurance. A few agents called me and one after a spoke to this person for awhile gave me a quote and I said I'd get back to them. I was just looking for a quote, yet they kept calling me (a local Allstate agent) saying, When can you come in? All I had to do was make the deal, I knew what my premium was gonna be etc, but I was going to wait awhile. Here it is a few weeks later and I am ready to call the person back and I get this crap letter from Allstate saying: "We're sorry but we are not able to provide the auto coverage you requested at this time." And under "The Reason for Our Decision" "..when we considered your eligibility for coverage, we reviewed your consumer report information. .. ...note that our decision was based at least partially on information we obtained from the following consumer reporting agency: LexisNexis Risk Solutions" 1) I was just looking for a "free" qoute 2) They forget the 15 years (a few years back I changed) I paid Allstate a premium for an auto policy with few claims if at all. 3) They can take their crap insurance and their crap LexisNexis and stick it where the sun don't shine! read more

My husband and I had auto and renters insurance policies through Allstate. When we moved to MN we decided to change insurance companies. We had paid for a full year of renter's insurance from August of 2019 to August of 2020. When we changed insurance companies we received a refund back for our auto insurance, however, the renters insurance refund was refunded back to a bank account we closed upon moving to MN. We've tried to get the refund that we are due from Allstate for the renters insurance. We have spent a week on the phone with the bank and with Allstate as Allstate has made it clear they aren't helping us find the money they owe us. Allstate told us that they refunded it back to the closed account and we have to call the bank. The bank shows NO refund from Allstate. Allstate says they no longer have the money and the bank is holding the money, something the bank has vehemently denied they do with money and closed accounts. This is, quite possibly, the WORST insurance service we have had in the past 20 years. No apology for the mistake. No call to make sure that the amount they are refunding money to still exists, no offer of help to solve the issue. Their attitude has been this is your problem, you fix it. If this is the way Allstate does business I am happy we switched and wouldn't consider coming back to Allstate, or recommending them to friends, if they were giving insurance policies away.
