I couldnt use the mobile app because the policy is in my parents name. After numerous attempts calling road side and getting transferred over and over again and still end up with the automatic machine Finally at 430pm someone came all the way from Sarasota on his day off to fix my tire only because he seen me still out on the road he dont answer phone in his day off . He was an Angel. Also I was in an accident 12/2017 and Allstate wasnt a big help why pay full coverage if I only get minimal service. I was online filled out a form regarding getting quotes for auto insurance. A few agents called me and one after a spoke to this person for awhile gave me a quote and I said I'd get back to them. I was just looking for a quote, yet they kept calling me (a local Allstate agent) saying, When can you come in? All I had to do was make the deal, I knew what my premium was gonna be etc, but I was going to wait awhile. Here it is a few weeks later and I am ready to call the person back and I get this crap letter from Allstate saying: "We're sorry but we are not able to provide the auto coverage you requested at this time." And under "The Reason for Our Decision" "..when we considered your eligibility for coverage, we reviewed your consumer report information. .. ...note that our decision was based at least partially on information we obtained from the following consumer reporting agency: LexisNexis Risk Solutions" 1) I was just looking for a "free" qoute 2) They forget the 15 years (a few years back I changed) I paid Allstate a premium for an auto policy with few claims if at all. 3) They can take their crap insurance and their crap LexisNexis and stick it where the sun don't shine! read more

I have had allstate for 4 years. Never have used it. I had a battery go dead today. It took 46 minutes to get help. The first operator was half asleep, and couldn't figure out my town's name, even though I spelled it repeatedly. She said we had a poor connection, which might have been true for her. On my end, there was so much chatter going on around us, that I couldn't hear her sleepy mumbles the first time she said anything. I went back inside and tried my luck at the online assistance, but it kept saying my number was invalid. Here's the thing: it asked m me for a number. Since there were no identifying terms to explain what number it wanted - and I hadn't been asked for my club number yet - I put that in. It kept telling me my number was invalid. It wanted my credit card number, and the price tag was 79 bucks. Nope. So I called back and got another operator who was relatively efficient, awake, and clear. She was polite, but rather dismissive when I complained about the trouble I was having. Supposedly, the arrangement had already been assigned to a company from Baltimore (20 to 30 miles away, depending on where). They wouldn't be able to make it for 2 hours. I asked for something sooner, so she got something about an hour from then. Let's see if they show. I'm going back to AAA after this debacle. They messed up on me once, but every other time was handled absolutely efficiently. read more

My husband and I had auto and renters insurance policies through Allstate. When we moved to MN we decided to change insurance companies. We had paid for a full year of renter's insurance from August of 2019 to August of 2020. When we changed insurance companies we received a refund back for our auto insurance, however, the renters insurance refund was refunded back to a bank account we closed upon moving to MN. We've tried to get the refund that we are due from Allstate for the renters insurance. We have spent a week on the phone with the bank and with Allstate as Allstate has made it clear they aren't helping us find the money they owe us. Allstate told us that they refunded it back to the closed account and we have to call the bank. The bank shows NO refund from Allstate. Allstate says they no longer have the money and the bank is holding the money, something the bank has vehemently denied they do with money and closed accounts. This is, quite possibly, the WORST insurance service we have had in the past 20 years. No apology for the mistake. No call to make sure that the amount they are refunding money to still exists, no offer of help to solve the issue. Their attitude has been this is your problem, you fix it. If this is the way Allstate does business I am happy we switched and wouldn't consider coming back to Allstate, or recommending them to friends, if they were giving insurance policies away. Your money certainly is in good hands with Allstate and they do everything they can to keep it in their hands. read more

Allstate Insurance is the worst insurance ever!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! I have been with them over 25 years with auto, home, condo and earthquake insurance. Paid them thousands and thousands of dollars. I scraped the side of my car on a pole you couldn't see when backing out so I put in a claim. I just got a call that they are increasing my single-car/single person insurance by $1400 a year!!! More than DOUBLE!! Why? Because I used the insurance I paid all these years for!!! They say the cost to repair was $200 over the "threshold" (scrape on the side of a car?). I paid $1000 of my own money for the deductible! They didn't advise me of this issue when I was putting in the claim. They also aren't willing to keep me as a customer by letting me pay the $200 difference either to get under their so-called 'threshold' that will raise my rates!!! Obviously any claim will go over the 'threshold' if a little scrape on the side of a car does it. My only option is to remove the claim completely and pay the full repair and rental car myself (so WHY do I have insurance??). Bye Bye Allstate! I have called every month. Each person says they will take. Care of it, but nobody does. Twice, including in April and June, when they sent me a bill to renew, I told them I wouldn't renew with a company with such poor business practices. I never thought Allstate could be so bad. Allstate refused to pay 100% of the repairs to my vehicle resulting from the motor vehicle collision. I unequivocally disagree with the repeated attempts to apportion any responsibility for the collision to my son (20%), and Allstate (80%). Their client has admitted fault (100%) and liability for the collision. The fact their client ran a red light and hit my vehicle are the facts. Trying to hypothesize that a person should risk other lives by split second braking in a crowded intersection while going through a green light, with moving vehicles behind and beside them is ridiculous, irresponsible and dangerous. The witnesses at the scene have attributed fault to their client. I have been more than reasonable in trying to resolve this matter; and have offered to settle this matter for the total costs of repair. I signed up with Allstate a year ago. Since then, they tried to add my son to my insurance even though he is on his Dad's insurance and I could NOT get that resolved until I got a new agent because mine left. Both in April and October I was able to pay with my credit card with no penalties though my EZ pay had my checking account information by calling my agent. I imagine with Covid economics, a lot of people wanted to use their credit card. With increased home sales I know Allstate is not "hurting". Anyway, my agent said I could pay with my credit card like I did last time, no problem. But then corporate turned around and charged $60 for homeowners and $14 for auto with no warning those fees would be incurred if I used my credit card. Even my agent did not know that was going to happen. And my agent says all he can do is put "agent error" into the system to try to get the fees removed but there is no live human being for him to call and speak to. This reminds me of Umbrella Corps on Resident Evil. This disembodied entity in the ethernet with no accountability leads to HORRIBLE service from Allstate! Absolutely horrible service, coverage and billing within days of purchasing our home we had problems with the company and the local agent Myles Baxter. We had some problems finding coverage from the start and asked the sellers of the property what carrier they had homeowners insurance through. I was told Allstate and used a local agent, Myles Baxter, and purchased a policy. Before we even moved into the home, Allstate inspected the home and said it was a fire hazard, of course it was, the prior homeowners had not maintained the property and we already had booked a tree trimmer to fire-wise the property. I responded the agent and Allstate and told them to remove the derogatory information concerning the fire hazard it claimed and Allstate was given 30 days to respond to that notice from them if you dispute their findings. In the meantime I was told Myles Baxter would find another carrier for us and that never happened either. As I tried to navigate through this entire mess, Allstate sends me additional bill as well claiming they were dropping us for non-payment of the premium. MY MISTAKE WAS TO PAY THE AMOUNT THEY BILLED FOR. No you did not misread that, somehow you are short about $30.00 when you pay them the quarterly amount they bill for in their statements. The local agent never could explain this, Allstate never attempted to respond to the bill or the fire hazard. Instead, Allstate deemed the new owners uninsurable even after the area was heavily cut back since they never re-inspected it . The reality is that the prior homeowners and Allstate had failed to ever inspect and maintain a fire-wise area the prior years. Instead they claimed the fire hazard was the reason they would drop the new homeowner despite the fact that Allstate had insured the home for the last several years under the prior owner in Prescott. Travelers Insurance took and they even bill you correctly, I do not guess at my bills, I pay the amount on the statement now. read more

Let me start off by saying that I'm a 10+ year customer of Allstate. In those ten years of multiple cars with full coverage and a household, I have claimed a single tow reimbursement. However when my area was hit by a pretty severe hail storm most of the houses in my neighborhood were affected including mine. I hired a contractor before filing a claim just to make sure there was hail damage. Of course there was, my contractor pointed it all out and provided me with pictures as proof for myself and Allstate. I then filed a claim. Almost every other house in my neighborhood started getting new roofs due to the storm. I was confident that Allstate would take care of my roof considering that everyone else had the same damage or less. However that was not the case. I was told that it was a gift and I should be happy that Allstate was providing a fourth of the total damages to my home. I SHOULD BE HAPPY!? Really? After multiple "inspectors" from out of state and multiple emails that were left unanswered by Claims Department and my own agent in town. I have been ignored and treated like an ungrateful child. Never have I been so offended by anyone like this. I beg anyone who is looking to get any sort of insurance to look ELSEWHERE! Save yourself the trouble and money and pick any other company. I sit here as proof that Allstate does not take care of it's customers as a 10+ year customer trust me when I tell you all that Allstate DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. The winter storm hit mid February of 2021. My Mother's entire floor was flooded, her walls had immense water damage, her ceilings collapsed. We have video footage, several upon several photos & her entire piping system had holes from where they busted. She has been a member for well over 30 years & has only used Allstate once to help with her roof during a different storm system that destroyed it. She has paid over $50,000 over the years & the one time she needs to use what she has paid into she gets $5,000. Its absolutely ridiculous. She will be canceling Allstate & we will be sure we notify friends & family of how she was dealt with. The customer service is beyond terrible. We have called multiple times & no one picks up. Then the Adjuster leaves & goes back to Florida & then we get a new extremely rude one in his place who yelled at me multiple times & made my Mother hang up she was so upset. After such a disaster customer service should be priority & it clearly is anything but. We keep getting push backed that we need additional this that and the other. She had furniture ruined, solid wood expensive furniture that we have yet to receive compensation on as well. Something must be done. An Allstate agent knowingly ignored hard evidence of an accident in order to hold me liable for a crash I did not cause. In my opinion, this is at best morally degenerate, and at worst legally fraud. That's the long story short version. Here's the long story long version: The day before new years, another driver without looking pulled out of his lane which was filled with traffic and into my lane which was not. Since he was not looking and was in the middle of a bumper to bumper traffic lane, he didn't see my car. He entered my lane as I was passing by him, and crashed the front right bumper of his jeep into the left side of my vehicle (driver door and passenger door). The impact mechanics all indicate that his car crashed into mine, not the other way around. The Allstate agent even verbally recognized to me that this physical evidence showed their driver was at fault. I had 2 witnesses who both could corroborate my story. At the scene of the accident, the other driver apologized to me, told me it was his fault and that he would pay for all damages. I (stupidly) believed him because he was nice, and so we agreed to not get a police report. Lesson learned. His wife called me later that day to reiterate that the crash was her husband's fault and that they would pay. Unfortunately my car was a rental, so I had to go through insurance. After making 3 identical statements to my insurance Progressive, their insurance Allstate, and the Enterprise claims services, I am told by all 3 that it clearly sounds like the other driver is at fault. Then they make their decisions. Progressive says I'm not liable, Enterprise says I'm not liable, but I hear no official word from Allstate. The cold shoulder. Weeks go by. Every time I call, nothing. It's as though no one works in their offices. Finally the Allstate agent gets back to me. She says that their driver now "doesn't remember who hit who", and so Allstate is going to make me 50% liable for the crash. I question her about the physical evidence of the crash, and she tells me that while yes this is true, and that the physical evidence does point to their driver being at fault, she is still making the decision to hold me liable. When I press her on this, she says that I should have honked, and because I didn't that I'm being held liable. I tell her that the other car impacted my driver door, behind my vision, so there would be no way I could have seen the other vehicle. She agrees that this is also true, but still is going to hold me liable. I ask her, what about my witnesses to the crash? She tells me she isn't going to speak with them. I then tell her that I have audio recordings of their driver admitting fault, which I in fact do. And you know what she tells me? She tells me that no other evidence will change her decision, she is going to hold me liable (but that she would still like me to send her the recording). She then tells me that if I take this to court, I will very likely lose because their best lawyers will be on the case and that she will no longer even give me the 50% liability offer. This entire thing has been perhaps the most shockingly dishonest experience I've ever witnessed. My insurance, Progressive isn't covering this because of course their Liability doesn't cover rental car damage. Go figure. So now I'm being forced to pay thousands of dollars for a car accident I didn't cause. Why? Because people are dishonest. As a medical student I have not the time nor the money to travel to another state to challenge this case in court, however much I wish I could. And Allstate knew this. I'm sorry, but Allstate clearly seems like a morally bankrupt organization, and one which I desperately wish I was able to hold legally responsible. But if you want your insurance company to lie for you, then hey, maybe they are for you. read more

ZERO STAR RATING is what I am requesting!!! I'm not surprised Allstate has a 1.5Star rating. I am NOT an allstate customer but my car was hit by an allstate customer and the experience repairing my car was HORRIBLE. My car was damaged but I was able to drive it away from the scene. My car was at the body shop for 30DAYS(March 3- April 6)!! It took this adjuster (Kursten 806-788-2119) 4DAYS to provide the initial estimate and 12-days(not returning many calls from me or the body shop)to prove the supplement required to complete the repairs on my car, which delayed my use of a rental car, which in the end this adjuster tried charge ME $160 in rental fees bc she was negligent from the beginning. She NEVER CONTACTED me, the body shop or the rental agency during the entire process. Week 3, she finally returned my calls,I HAD TO CALL MY BODY SHOP ON 3-WAY and she proceeded to lie on them and how they delayed the process of my car getting fixed. She told us she provided the body shop a 'verbal' supplement(who provides a verbal supplement to a body shop?) she was extremely rude, talked over both me and the mechanic, said she didn't get any calls from me or the body shop(we were calling her up to 2-3 times a week with no return calls...AT ALL) and how she wasn't responsible for this and that. Once we reminded her that she was on a recorded call, she changed her tone but still was not effective. After being persistent, I finally got my car back after 30days, NOW, I have to deal with a pending $160 charge from the rental agency that Kursten says is MY RESPONSIBILITY(who hired this lady?!) I demanded her boss which was a 'lead' Jason Griggs. Jason said he would call the body shop to see what can be done about the rental charges and HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. After 4days of not hearing back from Jason, I called him back, left him a vm, informing him I would be escalating this issue, so he had Kursten call me back(I missed her call) but she left a vm inquiring about my address(NEVER INDICATING any reason for needing it again, AFTER having a claim pending for 30days with my address on it), so of course she never called me back, I get a check in the mail dated APRIL 21st(reimbursement for the rental) and my address includes the word Houston but it was replaced with HO. Is that suppose to be a slug? 30-DAYS OF REPAIR FOR A CAR THAT WAS DRIVEN AWAY FROM THE SCENE, LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, ADJUSTERS ARE DISRESPECTFUL, CHARGING VICTIMS FOR FEES YOUR COMPANY IS BLATANTLY RESPONSIBLE FOR AND POOR TO NO COMMUNICATION SKILLS FROM YOUR ADJUSTERS TO THE CUSTOMERS, ALLSTATE WOULD NEVER GET MY BUSINESS! read more

Allstate let me down, on January 4th I was traveling along I-80 when I struck a bear totaling my vehicle. When I contacted Allstate, they expressed no interest in how I would get to safety or home. After the paramedics left the police called a tow truck to move the vehicle, my cat and I were left on the side of the road around 11:00 pm, to await my boyfriend to arrive from Maryland a, 3hr drive. Waiting on the side of the road I kept attempting to receive any assistance from Allstate where they kept denying any assistance as I was instructed my coverage was under review. The next four days would be a repeat of that night, there was never any follow up or follow thru, I had to endlessly wait and call to find out any status changes. On the 7th I found out after waiting on hold that my claim was denied due to a lapse in coverage even though a payment was made on the night of the incident and on Dec 10th. Allstate leads their customers to believe that they are in good hands but have only shown they are more interested in their bottom line and will commit endless hours to save a buck. This year has been hard for us all, and we have all made sacrifices I returned from Iraq 7 months ago to a country changed and finally landed a job I am amongst many who can say being employed has not come easy. I expected Allstate regardless of a short lapse in payment to be a little more forgiving, human, and compassionate. My life has been turned upside down since returning from overseas, all I've wanted since the accident is help from Allstate. read more

I signed up Allstate Motor Club back in 2013, after receiving many soliciting calls from them. since then, I only called them for few times regarding member benefit on my tire. When I first called about my tires need to be replaced due to a tear in it, they declined my claim and told me that I could not just use any tire mechanics but their designated service provider. And I had to "mail the tore tire to them to be verified and approved". This was one of the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard! The second time I had my tire repaired to remove a screw, they said I did not submit my receipt within 60 days so they declined my claim. The third time I had my tire replaced due to two nails in the tire and was not repairable judged by the car mechanics. I called Allstate Motor Club again and they told me I need to have a picture of my tire in order for them to reimburse me. The explanation on the receipt made by the car mechanics who replaced my tire as why the tire cannot be repaired is insufficient. Each time I called them, I received different messes/policies and as the result, I never got reimbursed for my tire services. I had my tire replaced in Oct 2017, while I was still an active member. I filed my claim in November, and never heard from them in three weeks. I called, and I was told that it would take more than 4 weeks to "review the claim" and before I can even hear back from them. At this point I was furious with them pushing me around and wanted to cancel my membership. The membership center representative told me that "I was the only customer he has ever heard who had never get reimbursed" and that my "claim filing procedure was wrong", after I followed the instructions in an email sent to me from another Allstate Motor Club agent, and that "if I cancel my membership now, I will never be reimbursed", even the event happened while I was still a member. Nonetheless, for other discounts they say they provide to their members when they kept calling me to join in 2013, we never had pleasant experience with. The discount stores are limited and not worth our effort to travel to in order to enjoy a pitiful of few percentage off on whatever it is, and we have to call their car rental agent in order to get a "discount on car rental" - even that is more expensive than online booking for car rentals. All in all the experience we had with AllState Motor Club is a very negative one. They take your money and hardly ever grant you the benefit they promised. I was with Allstate for 30 years. I was always in good standing and filed only a few small claims over that time period. We were in need of a roof replacement due to wind and hail damage. Allstate would only approve replacement of the shingles. The shingles were discontinued, making it impossible to get the same shingles. They wanted us to have the contractor cut the available shingles down to size and use them to repair our roof. Since we needed over 45 shingles replaced, that would leave our roof looking like patchwork and inconsistent in the ability to protect our home. It was a poor solution to the problem. We complained to Allstate about their denial. After another review, they still denied the claim. 30 years in premiums for auto and homeowners and they won't pay out one $10,000 claim? We paid for our roof many times over with them. Be wary of a company that will gladly take your premiums but not pay out when you need insurance! read more

We've been a member since 2002. On Memorial Day Weekend coming home from a fishing trip, 66 miles from home. Our transmission would not shift out of 2nd. We called to request a tow, after some time while AMC was searching for a Towing co, they came back and said no one was available and we would have to call back the next day. Haha! We told them that was unacceptable. So AMC proceeded to find a company to tow which was way north of us and told me it would $661.00 for towing. We were really disappointed in the customer service. They don't email, return calls, or communicate with any of the parties involved, including the body shop, victims, or rental companies! They have been very minimal on what they wanted to fix on our vehicle AND my husband has called weekly to make sure it was still approved to have the rental vehicle, to which they said YES. However, all of a sudden, they backdated the approved dates by 10 days and claimed we would be charged $300 for the rental, even though they were giving the approval each week when my husband would call in! I wish I could give them negative stars...first off, my husband has been with Allstate for over 30 years. We recently renewed our policy back in July of 2019 when we were advised that Drivewise could save us some money on our auto policy. We confirmed with Allstate we wanted a check at the end of our 6 months. Once I started using the app, I realized under the rewards category it was listed as only points. I called up and a man had assured me that he fixed it and I should be receiving a check in January. Once January rolls around we call to state we never received a check, they assured me (after several phone calls and being transferred back to the general line after 30 mins of conversation) that someone would get back to me and even escalated this to corporate, and not a single person got back to me on this. Essentially, they said Allstate made a mistake with the rewards and I would not be receiving a check. That is when we switched to Progressive. Well lets start with it is my fault that I locked my keys in my truck with it running while loading up dirtbikes after riding for the day 2 hours away from my house. I called Allstate roadside assistance from a friends phone as mine was in my truck locked away. First the guy helping on Allstate says he cannot find my policy with the phone number I am using after explaining to him that my own phone is locked in the truck and then he wants to send a lockout company to my house after explaining to him that I was not at my house and that I was 2 hrs from home in Moses Lake Wa. He then asked what way I was traveling down the road east or west..... Well its parked running with the keys locked in to it. After getting that handled and figured out I was not anywhere near my house he said he was going to try to contact a tow or lockout company. Thank god I already had got ahold of Daniels Towing in Moses Lake and left him a message about what I needed. He called back and said Allstate had called him and he gave them a quote and was waiting for Allstate to call back to approve the cost.... Typical insurance company as I am standing in 40 degree weather with 30 mph winds locked out. I told Daniel to come out and unlock my truck so I could get home cost 120$ not bad. I am not surprised that Allstate haggled the price as I am in the autobody industry and deal with insurance all the time. I pay my car insurance faithfully since being with Allstate. I was found to have 0% liability, after someone rear-ended me. Paid my $600.00 deductible and now I have to fight with Allstate to get it recovered. Why not just reimburse me and wait for the other company to pay Allstate back? If you file an uninsured motorist claim with your own company Allstate (meaning that you are hit and hurt by an uninsured or hit'n'run driver), and you have your arbitration hearing with Allstate to determine your damages, and if Allstate doesn't like the award amount given as too high, Allstate then sues YOU, yes, YOU, their own insured. That's where I'm at right now with them. Unbelievable. They sue their own customer after you buy insurance from them. They don't want customers to know this. And they certainly don't tell you up front that they will sue you. A new low tactic gaining traction in the industry. Spread the word. read more

My roof was recently damaged by hail and wind. I filed a claim on Jan. 17, 2020. It took them until Jan. 28 to an adjuster come to my house. The inspector met with my contractor and reviewed the roof, both interior and exterior. Once the inspector was off the roof, she got the Allstate Adjuster, Chuck Baxter, on the phone and began a 5 minute conversation flirting . Finally she put me on the phone with him. His 20 second response was he will call me back that evening with an estimate. The Inspector hung up the phone and told me, in front of my contractor I have a lot of hail damage. She then said she was off the rest of the day and would up load the pictures. At 5:00 PM Chuck called back to tell me he had not received anything from inspector and would call me the next day. On Jan.29 around 5:00 PM to tell me I did not have any hail damage so they would not be paying anything. I told him his inspector told me I had extensive hail damage. His response was to call me a liar. I hung up after that, infuriated. The next day I contacted my agent and we went over all pictures the inspector up loaded. All the pictures were so blurry you could hardly tell you were looking at a roof. My agent said he would request a review. On Friday Jan.31 around 11 AM I received a phone call from Gerome Satl who told me he was Chuck Baxters supervisor. He told me he was agreeing with his adjuster even though the pictures were so bad. He insinuated I couldn't afford my deductible. So a second Allstate employee insulting a customer. By the way I have been with Allstate for home car and motorcycle insurance for 13 years. I can guarantee you it will not be 14. I have contacted a professional adjustment firm to force Allstate to honor the policy. It is sad as a customer that never filed a claim to be treated in this manner. I would suggest you never consider Allstate for your insurance needs. They have proven to be dishonest. read more
