It looks like the busiest enterprise in town is the loves travel stop gas station. They have a local cafe on 287 near the football field. Get the catfish and home baked pie. You'll also find a sonic, plus the loves truckstop food. The community works together to improve and update the infrastructure as you can see by the local overpass that goes over the railroad tracks and Highway 287.

The drink I ordered was tea. They brought me a cup that looked like muddy water with the consistency of iced coffee. Lots of staff, everyone was moving I noticed, but nothing was getting done. This wasn't the first time I experienced this at that McDonald's. They just hit my no fly list on the several trips I make through Childress. They definitely don't have much concern for quality, and they're definitely not in any hurry to serve.
