We hired this company because of favorable reviews but now realize you can't always count on this. We felt our home should have been professionally leveled, it makes no sense whatsoever adding new concrete piers on a totally unleveled structure. Even the engineer hired to do the final inspection overlooked the fact that there were two concrete piers missing from the intended amount. So much for professionalism.

He took measurements of how level the floor was across the entire tiled area and determined that it was well within limits of what it should be. He also examined the visible part of the foundation outside the house and said there was no visible issues there either. He assured me that all seemed perfectly fine, but also had some suggestions as to further tests I could have done on the plumbing to determine if there was a possible leak that might be causing a slight shift in the slab. I thanked him and asked how much I owed him for the inspection. He said "no charge". How unexpected that was! Derk was completely professional and personable the whole time. The crew that came out was professional, respectful, and worked extremely hard--they got the job done in just 24 hours, even though the estimate was for five days. That said, the communication side of things felt overwhelming to me. Before I even signed a contract, I was getting constant phone calls and texts pushing for a deposit. I understand they wanted to secure the job, but it felt a bit intense, especially for someone going through this for the first time. After the job was done, I didn't get a follow-up check to confirm if the house was properly leveled. My son saw them move the house, but we were never told how much it was lifted or if everything is now where it should be. I was just advised not to repair any cracks or paint for 6-8 weeks--but I don't know if someone is supposed to come back at that point to check the leveling again? I paid half down and the rest was requested immediately after the job finished--again, through a flood of messages and calls. It was just a lot all at once, and in hindsight, I wish I had waited until I could give the process my full attention. Overall, the crew was great, the work was done quickly, and the price was fair. I just wish the communication had been more balanced and that there had been more clarity post-job. Everyone we met from his crew has been friendly and respectful. TIMELINESS: We started discussing our project with Cesar 1 year ago. He linked us up with an architect, and we went back and forth for a couple months before we had our final plans. The construction crew didn't waste any time while we were at the drawing board, Cesar's crew cleared the area and built the base. Efficiency!!!! Once we had our plans, he immediately scheduled a foundation pour date and in less than a month, our 6+inch foundation was poured. Then came the sequence of events that led to our Black Beauty. In approximately 10 months, EVERYTHING to include the detailed finish outs to make it turn key was done!!! Cesar took care of everything from plumbing to electric, well house and septic. He even provided brush clean up for fire suppression surrounding the building. COST: You get what you pay for. It wasn't cheap, but this Shouse (Shop-house) will last generations to come.
