I can't say it enough how much I love Dr. Cohen and his team. I recently had a tooth extraction and they have been so communicative and kind with my long healing. The area itself is healing really well and the extraction went very smooth, but I have an inflammation issue that I personally have been dealing with for years which has been making the pain during the healing process pretty difficult. However, Dr. Cohen has been fully available via phone, text AND in person every time I need to connect with him or his team. I've just never had access to such a hands on and smart dentist. I'm truly grateful. I wish I could leave a million reviews because they are so amazing here. I've been coming here for a while and I'm so grateful to have found such a great dentists office. This was one of my BEST dental experiences. I had an implant installed by Dr. Paz. Dr. Paz is not only knowledgeable, professional, and patient, but he walks the patient through whatever/whichever service is being provided. Also, when he says that the novaicaine (needle) won hurt, it really was not painful. It was truly a slight pinch. His bedside manner is superb, and his staff are very accommodating and professional. This is honestly the best dentist I've ever been to! The staff here is so lovely, kind, and helpful. Dr. Taj is extremely knowledgeable, communicative, and just so friendly and wonderful to talk to. She takes the time to actually explain things to me in depth if needed and answer my many questions, which has immensely helped me in better understanding the causes behind my dental issues, what's actually going on in my mouth, and the reasons behind my care/treatment plans, as well as providing me with options. I know a lot of people feel like some dentists are scamming them or trying to get them to do expensive procedures to get more money, but I have never felt that here. You can tell Dr. Taj is genuinely passionate about what she does and wants to provide the best possible options to her patients without being pushy or pressuring. She also never makes me feel rushed or like I'm just a number. She's always friendly, attentive, and even asks me specific questions and recalls things going on in my life. On top of all that, she is just incredibly smart and very knowledgeable about her field (she's also an attending lecturer and research associate at UCLA). For the record, this review isn't just based off of one or a few good experiences here - I've had many cleanings, procedures, and am currently about six months into Invisalign, so I've had A LOT of visits to this office, and even though oral care and teeth stuff is never fun, this staff has truly made the experiences so much better for me. And because Dr. Taj is always happy to explain things further and answer questions, I actually feel like I can understand and learn rather than just be told to floss more and go on my merry way until next time. She has a very gentle touch which is very important to me after some previous bad experiences. She is also beyond considerate, and is very friendly and accommodating. Very disappointed in the handlings of this office. I went understanding that I needed a lot of work done and went for a consultation. The dentist seemed so nice and everyone at first was so kind when I explained I've had issues with dental work and get anxiety. After the x rays were taken I was told an oral surgeon would be contacting me regarding a treatment plan, and got no other feedback at my time of visit. I was contacted a week later and told to get additional x rays at an office in Whittier. Which was strange enough but ok I really wanted to think they had my best interest in mind. I get the x rays and wait and wait with no feedback. I call and spoke to Tania who said someone would be calling me back. No call back. Then a month later I get my insurance bill for the x rays and a cleaning which I never received. I ended up having to pay for X-rays and no treatment plan or real consultation and fight the fact that I never received a cleaning from this office. Keep in mind my appointment was in May and to this day (July 9) I have not heard the results of all my x rays or a phone call from any oral surgeon. read more
