I came across this dental office by just googling it, and I fell in love with the staff, and of course, Dr. Amir. I have been coming to this office for roughly 12 years now, and I would not change this place. I know it has taken me this long to write a review, but the main reason I am doing it now is because of the latest procedures I have done. I had a broken front tooth that I kept replacing with filling, Dr. Amir suggested different options based on your needs. If you talk to them, they will give you an honest opinion based on your needs and resources. Thanks to them, I have done invisilign and my front tooth with veneers. I was very nervous about the whole process and the outcome, but I am very, very happy about it. Starting with Barbara at the front desk, the most lovely person who cares about setting up your appointments accommodating them based on your schedule, the tedious process with the insurance, she will handle all. Dr. Amir's assistant and right hand Erica, you can not be in better hands other than in the hands of this lady. She will take care of you, making you feel at ease in your visit, explaining what she is doing accurately. Last but not least, Dr. AMIR!! What can I say... the best hands down, he has been my dentist for 12 years, his procedures are all very soothing, he will make sure you are super comfortable all the way since you sit at his chair until you walk out of there, but it does not stop there, he will call you to follow up, to check on you the next day based on the procedure you have done. He will give you an honest opinion and will not try to sell things that might not be good for you, your budget, or how they might look on you. I had suddenly developed terrible tooth pain that prevented me from sleeping and Dr. Amir and his staff were able to squeeze me in the same day. They quickly assessed me and told me that the tooth needed to come out. On my behalf, they called a number of oral surgeons in the area to see who could see me the same day to extract my tooth. What impressed me most though was at the end of the day Dr. Amir personally called me to see how I was doing after my procedure. It means I get to visit his gleaming office and rest and relax while he restores my killer smile. Every aspect of the experience is like rinsing with refreshing sparkly mouthwash. The chairs are comfy, the equipment is state of the art. The X-rays are a breeze. But the best part is Dr. Amir's bed side manner. He comports himself like a true gentleman of the Old World. Thankfully, with safety measures in place, they were able to see me and get me on my way to a beautiful smile. MY FAVORITE & ONLY CHOICE FOR DENTISTRY! I was referred to Dr. Michael Amir's office years ago by 1-800- DENTIST and it's been a great match ever since. I tried switching dentists after I moved out of the area, but found the level of care to be sub-par compared to Sc Dental Group. I wish I could say that I just go here for the basic cleaning twice a year - but no! I've had dental issues ranging from minor cavities to major root canals! But that's my own dang fault and thank goodness Dr. Amir and his team are such outstanding professionals! It makes having dental work done not so bad. This office is tucked away in a shopping plaza, but once you find it it's surprisingly pleasant inside. Refreshments and TV are available...FREE BUBBLE GUM!!! They have always had wonderful staff members and with Natalia, Liz and Karina on board the level of care here seems to just get better and better! It is obvious that the doctors continue to re-invest in their growing practice to the benefit of their patients. I always leave with all my questions answered and feeling genuinely cared for (Dr. Amir often calls after extensive visits to make sure all is well! How nice!) . I've never had such a pleasant experience at a dental office. I have never had a good dentist experience until I found Dr. Amir. I had a filling fall out from a chipped front tooth on a Friday night. I had no dentist at the time and I chose the first dentist that was open on a Saturday. He repaired my chipped tooth better than any other dentist had done in the past. I also had my first cavity EVER and he filled it and I survived. I now live over 30 miles away and I will drive down to Sherman Oaks every six months rather than switch dentists. Oh, and this may be terrible to admit, but I never flossed daily or even weekly or even monthly (I am lucky I have only ever had one cavity) but one day it clicked for me because he and the dental hygienists explained it. Literally showed me how. My excuses were always that I didn't know how to fit my hands in for flossing and that my gums would bleed and that it would hurt. I have since become an avid flosser for 4 years now and can't even fall asleep at night if I forgot to floss. And cleanings are a painless, bloodless breeze now because of it. HAHA! read more

I have had some horrific experiences with dentists trying to overcharge me, working very slowly, not using enough anesthetic, or trying to do work that is beyond their scope of expertise. Then I found Dr. Hamer. He was very patient, honest and gentle. I had to get a deep cleaning/scaling. I came in very anxious and scared. He made sure I was comfortable, his dental assistant was very sweet and reassuring, and he numbed me thoroughly. I was most afraid of the numbing injections. He did them in a way where I didn't feel a thing. This was hands down the best experience I have ever had at a dentist's office. I am so grateful I found him. I have been going to Dr Amir for about a decade. I've always loved him and his staff. He's the reason I have PPO dental insurance! With the COVID-19 pandemic things have changed. Staff is still very friendly but not all were following the mask ordinance (reception was not masked) and when I asked about this I was ignored. I was not asked to sanitize when I arrived. To their credit, there was a bottle of sanitizer in the back corner of the waiting room. On final check, the dentist was not wearing gloves (!) while examining and put his bare hands in my family member's mouth. Also got a surprise fluoride treatment after I was done with my biannual cleaning and when asked why I was getting it the explanation was that my insurance now covers it. My insurance has always covered fluoride treatment but it has never been offered to me or until now so this seems like a questionable up sell. read more

I've been going to Dr. Amir for more than a decade and give him my highest rating. Friendly, caring, and thorough. I've had basic cleanings, X-rays, deep scalings, and one cavity (unfortunately), and he's been terrific with all of the above. His staff is awesome -- super friendly & professional , and they're also really good with working with your insurance plans. Had a front tooth root canal in another country about ten years ago. The crown color didn't really match and there was a gap in how the crown was screwed in and my gums are high so people did notice that I had a fake front tooth. It was not made out of gold so it wasn't cool. Finally decided to deal with it and get another crown. Dr. Amir was recommended. The crown is perfect, perfect color match and perfectly screwed in there. Because of the high gum line it was not to easy to get it done but he did it. Just got my teeth cleaned and he told be that because it was hard he is really proud of himself and shows slides of it to his students (as in how to get it done right not to brag, he does not look like someone who would be like that). read more

Ok, I have been looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and reputable dentist. My search finally ended when I call this place. Let me tell you about my experience step by step. First I called to inquiry about insurance and to see if the insurance would cover everything I need to get done to get my smile back. My main reason is to get my front tooth fixed because I had a filling that's turning yellowish, I also need a crown in my back tooth. Well Karina promptly answer the phone and very very acknowledgeable provided details about my insurance the procedure and future procedures, very friendly staff I have only dealt with Donna, Karina and Dr. Micahel.
