I bought a groupon for Laser lipo at body by design. I have never done laser lipo or anything like it but I always thought about it and the deal was so good I couldn't turn it down. When I called to make my appointment the women who answered the phone was very pleasant and gave me great information on the lipo treatments. At all of my appointments the staff was very friendly and personable. They get to know while you are there and help give you great advise on health and fitness. The office it self had a great decor and was always very clean. After all four of my laser treatments I lost a total of 2.5 inches around my stomach. I also bought a microdermabrasion treatment from them. It too was wonderful. My skin looked and felt great. It also helped to clear my pores. I will definitely recommend them to my friends and family and anyone interested in this type of weight loss. They have a wide variety of treatments and are more than just a laser lipo center. Staff is great and professional. If you are dedicated and follow their instructions you will get results. The weekly counseling is a huge help as well. I also love the SMT sessions. Very relaxing. I was not comfortable with the staff. The salesperson presented a slide show to me about the products and services and read the entire thing to me. It was quite annoying being read to and not at all helpful. I was challenged with every comment I had in a desperate effort to make a sale. I did not purchase anything and will not be returning. I went in for just a consult and first of all they made me pay the 150 which usually if you go to any other reputable place the consult is free. I also got sucked in to buy the bronze lipo package and I wasted all my money that I invested, it didn't help at all. I did lose weight but I could have done that by going to weight watchers. I think I deserve some money back but maybe I should go through the Better Business Bureau... One good thing was that the ladies that work there are very professional and nice.. I went to Body by Design to lose weight and inches. They recommended the HCG program. After having preliminary bloodwork and a re-test because of a questionable blood level, the Nurse Practioner said that I needed to see my Primary Care Physician before she would approve me for the program. After seeing my Doctor, we determined that I needed to work on other health issues before beginning a program at Body by Design. The Medical Manager was wonderful, and immediately processed a refund for the services I did not use. There was no question that my health came first. In the summer of 2013 I went to Body by Design for Lipo injections to help me with weight loss. Never in the information given to me did it say "If you have high blood pressure or take medicine for high blood pressure then this is not recommended for you." I had the nurse give me the injection and about 1-2 hours later I felt like I had taken a ton of No Doze. A few hours later I felt like my heart was going to literally pop out of my chest. Being scared I took myself to the ER and found out my blood pressure was through the roof. I was admitted and kept in the hospital over night to monitor my blood pressure and released the next day. I have not been back there since. I am not sure how this works for others who do not have high blood pressure but if you do then I would advise you to seek another option. read more

Please read this before you book up any service with Body by Design!!!!!! Very rude......I scheduled a total body wrap.....I got there in time, I was handed some paper work that it took me 10 min to complete and then I was waiting and waiting and finally the receptionist came to me saying that they will take me in first for measurements and wrap and then Lisa the weight consultant will talk to me. Usually is the other way around however they were running vey late. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30 and the girl who did the wrap took me at 11:30.....so one hour just wasted...She finished the procedure at 12:00.....At 12:25 she came back and took off the wrap inspite of the fact she said at the beginning that I will be with the wrap about 30-40 min. Then she took meauraments again and said she will be back after calculates my numbers. 5 min later a different girl came in letting me know about results.....and I told her that they are not accurate because my arm were not measured......but surpise, surprise on the form she was holding the measurements were there. ....how?.....not know.....therefore this girl measured me and then put me on the vibration machine for 10 min. After this probably another 10 min I finally got to talk to Lisa and I scheduled another visit for next day just for a consult. They were trying to convince me to do it now however I explained to them that nobody told me upfront how long is going to take..... I was running late for my other commitments( I was there for 3hours and 10 min). At the reception desk I made the appointment for next day and I left. in my way home I realized that I did not pay....but I said I am going back tomorrow and I will pay. Next morning I waked up with such a horrible headache and I called the office to let them know that......and to cancell the visit. Thereceptionist was nice at the beginning of conversation saying" I can see that nobody told you that you are going to have a headache.....you are detoxifying". She asked me if I want to reschedule and I said I will call back after my headache is gone. Then she become so nasty and rude saying" are you trying not to pay your bill?....I see what you are trying to do" Hearing this I told her that she is rude and she can send me the bill home and this conversation was over. I had to hang up the phone, I could not listen to her anymore.....They are not professional and they miss to explain to you the procedure and the consequences/side effects.....and they are not ethical giving the fact that one of the girls just put some numbers there without doing the measuraments. I think I gave them to many chances during those three hours there......but accusing me of running away without paying is not acceptable. I have read reviews and it all sounded perfect. Groupon had a deal that said "Weight loss package with 3 lipolaser treatements and 3 vitamin based weight loss solution injections. I thought this would be great paid the 200.00 for it and thought I could give it a try. Called made the appointment sent me paper work to fill out. Get to my appointment had to wait 30 mins pass my appointment time. Still I thought it must be busy. A lady finally comes out of her office introduces herself. Starts with telling me about care credit a credit card. Then goes threw all my paperwork, then starts to tell me about the different weight loss programs I am thinking great! But still was confused why this person was telling me all this and not talking about what I want. Then she hits with the different prices for just weight loss for 6 weeks its 849.00 and can go up to 6500 dollars!! This was not what my groupon said and what is advertised on there website. That in order to get any service you have to buy there weight loss package. It is basically weight watchers that uses supplements like herbal life and vitamins. I was then told she can't not make an appointment for me till I buy a package. The kicker is what they sell the groupon for is really free when you buy certain packages. I would not recommend them to anyone or if you were thinking about getting a groupon or think of just buying a service you will be mislead. Now they have my 200.00 and I got no service for what I paid for. It was all gimmick. They are located in a office building and the folder that they give says office max in it and they print out there own labels and stick it to the front of the folder. I bought a living social to get the so called "lipo laser" done, I went in to get my treatments done, and they measured me before my first treatment began, and wrote the measurements down. After the 20 minute session of nothing ended, they measured me again, and I felt them pull the tape so that it seemed i lost inches. I paid, so I went back for the rest. I didn't feel any difference in my clothing, but they told me I lost 4 inches all together. After, they sat me in a room where another lady attempted to sell me more treatments. I got a groupon for 12 fat burning injections, and was excited to go and get it started. It was kind of false advertising because you basically need to do a series of hcg injections along with a serious diet and you have to go twice a week, and the hours don't work for someone who is a single mother and has a full time job. I bought an expensive package for the other shots figuring everyone I spoke to had great things to say. I was supposed to see the dr then get another appointment where they explain the shots, the diet, and the food journal. I had my blood taken, and then they just called me and said u can come and pick up your shots. That was it. So I got them and did the research myself. The package I got had weekly payments that got taken out of my account every week. This company was horrible, every week it was supposed to come out on Thursday, and I made sure there was more than the payment due in the account, and every week the same thing, they said it was declined and would put it through the next day with a $20 late fee. I spoke to the owner, Tom, and he called them and he said they were rude to him too, as they were to me. And he couldn't help me because that was a separate company. He offered me some free services so I accepted. Then it happened again more than twice. And I called the owner again,a and he said sorry I don't know much about this company! Which was surprising since they took my payments. I was very upset. I kept getting lat fees taken for no reason and I never had the appointments where they explain everything. So I asked for a refund. I was unhappy with the payment company, the fact that this company told me they didn't really know too much about a company that had all my payment info on file, and the fact that neither place had my name correct for the first couple of weeks. Also, I didn't notice any weight loss, and I had some side effects. But bc I didn't get that first appointment I didn't even know what to do or expect Tom was very nice mad accommodating , and Lisa, my salesperson was awesome and that is why I gave them two stars. But my experience here was pretty much not great. I work in customer service and they have great consultants but they never worked with me to explain what to do. I wish things had been better, because I really wanted to stay it out to see if it worked. But it just seemed like all they wanted was money, they didn't care if I knew what to do with my shots, or my diet, and it seemed like they didn't care. They gave me my refund which I was happy with but surprised. I wouldn't tell anyone to come to this place ever. There are other places with wraps and laser lipo that a awesome. Everyone at the clinic was very nice, but the Laser Lipo procedure is a sham. I paid $1200 with a coupon for 12 visits. I seriously saw next to no results. I ended up having to pay an additional $75 for a body wrap to see any difference, and this was just water depletion that disappeared in a day. I was promised "major results" from this procedure and didn't see squat, and I followed all directions to the "T". Seriously SAVE YOUR MONEY! Exercise and a healthy diet will give you actual results for FREE. If you can't get results through these methods, put your $1200 towards an actual surgical lipo procedure with a board certified plastic surgeon. If I could give them a negative star I would. I bought a groupon then even before my first session I bought an additional package because the sales woman was adamant that the groupon was not enough sessions to see good results. The technicians are not medically trained and are just 19yr olds found on Craig's List and change like the wind there. I paid $1300 for absolutely nothing but headache. The sales people make promises about packages then they call you and tell you although you have paid $1300 certain services are not included.I got better results from 10 weeks 30min sessions with a personal trainer that these lipo lasers. I bought a Groupon for 3 lipo/laser treatments at Body By Design. The first session was very good, I spoke with a sales person about my options after the 3 sessions. I had my session which was fine. I guess there was a little difference with the before and after measurements. I was then told to make my next 2 appointments. The second appointment was made with time at the end for my sales rep to meet with me again. The next time I came they were very late and then took another person before me even though I had been waiting first. The next appointment was again 10 minutes late. If a place tells you to be 5 minutes early to your appointment they shouldn't be 10 minutes late. After my last appointment I was measured again which showed a bit of a difference. I was then expecting to meet with my sales rep and they told me she was totally booked for the night and couldn't see me. I met with the owner who didn't really know what was said in my initial consultation so he was really no help. He told me that my sales rep would call me that night or the next day and it's 2 days later and still no phone call. I found the place very unprofessional and very expensive for the next package of appointments. I think it could be a good concept but they need to learn some better customer service. read more
