When I went, the store was closed but I heard a honk. To my surprise, it was Ann! She opened the door and explained to me that she went to do some errands due to a no show and I was able to fit in same day at the time I arrived. For cut, style, and wash, this was $40 either cash or Zelle to Ann. She told me that the number indeed is no longer valid and each of the hairstylists are contacted by their personal phone number to schedule appointments etc. I typically don't go to the same hairstylists unless if the price is cheap/ the person cuts well. Personally, $40 is a lot but I wasn't only give those services. Ann was the first hairstylist to ask me the temperature of the water I use to wash my hair since she noticed I have thinning hair. Even telling her I have genetic hair loss, she reassured me it can be combatted in some ways. I feel confident to come back to get my hair cut by Ann after my very first time here. Definitely out of my budget in some ways but where can you find this package for this price? I highly would recommend Ann! She's such a sweet person too!

Those of us with naturally nappy hair know the value of finding a Black hair care specialist who is professional, punctual and won't burn your hair out! Best of all, Linda lives in Hercules so I no longer have to drive all the way to Oakland and deal with traffic and a lack of parking to get my hair done. Her prices are also very fair. I've been coming to her for relaxer treatments for a few months and each time my hair looks fantastic, and I even get a consultation about how to take better care of my hair. I'm also in and out of the appointment within 2-3 hours for a relaxer - it used to take 4-5 at other places I've been to. Another thing I like is that Linda doesn't try new things on clients without trying them out herself first. This means your hair will never become a failed experiment. I have been burned in the past by hairdressers trying out new perming products. Normally I have to wait two weeks to get an appointment with my old (also awesome) hairdresser in Oakland, but Linda usually sees me the same week that I call. My only complaint, which isn't a real complaint, is that she is only in the Salon Thursday through Saturday. That is not a problem for me but if I had some sort of hair emergency, like a job interview the next day, that might be a problem. Bottom line, Linda is awesome and I would recommend her to anyone in the East Bay.

So I said I'd come in sick with a mask on to my appointment in order for them not to charge a cancellation fee. They said I couldn't come into my appointment either because I'm sick. So basically they won't let me go to my appointment, but they also won't waive the fee for keeping me out for being sick. Wtf? These people are seriously unprofessional and rude. Any other salon would've understood and simply waive the fee like a real business who treats their customers well. Not to mention my first experience there when the employees gossiped about other clientele the whole time to each other and then smile to your face as you fill their pockets, wtf was that about and why are they doing this in-front of customers in the chair?! I really tried to give this place another chance, I had hopes for this place based on reviews, I came to realize later a lot of those nice yelp reviews came from their friends, yes I can tell. There are definitely better salons out there that are authentic and courteous and I was lucky to find a better one with higher standards for how they run their business and treat people and been with them ever since. Happy to ditch the ritzy place, no room for the fake and greedy.

I've been getting my hair done with Adriana for almost a year now. I first heard about her through…read moremy cousin. Now all the women in my family get their hair done by her. She's amazing! Whether you're looking to get a new hair cut, color or even scalp treatments, she'll hook you up. Before seeing Adriana, I never invested in hair cuts, color or products because I always felt it was too expensive. BUT I soon realized that you end up saving much more money. I was able to wear my haircut for six months because my hair grew out so beautifully after she cut it. I didn't need to go back for a trim because my hair grew out so nicely without becoming heavy. The same goes with color! I see Adriana every 8 weeks or so for toning because I have colored hair with highlights. My hair never turns brassy or fades. I've also started using the hair products that she recommends. I always used to use dove or Pantene, but it was so damaging. Ive invested in good quality products that she recommends and it has lasted nearly a year because you don't need to use much product and you don't need to wash your hair everyday. Investing in your hair can be pricy but Adriana's prices are VERY reasonable considering the amazing quality, consistency and longevity. In addition to regular hair cuts and colors, I've included scalp treatments. These have really changed my life and I'm so glad Adriana introduced them to me. I suffer from a dry scalp and dandruff. Especially during the colder months. Thankfully these scalp treatments offer me so much relief. She'll brush out all the dry skin and buildup in your hair and leave you with a healthy scalp. I've developed such a great relationship with Adriana. She's not just my hair stylist but a great friend. She is so knowledgeable and is constantly working to perfect her craft. I give her full control and liberty to do whatever with my hair because she truly knows what's best for me based on my lifestyle, face/head shape and hair type. She really takes her time with all the work she does. I end up spending hours with her because she is always so meticulous and careful with her work. You won't be getting a 10 minute hair cut here!
