I booked an appointment for a gel pedicure and a acrylic fill-in. I came in and was seated immediately. The older man who did my pedicure was kind and the pedicure was great. As for my nails I LOVE THEM. Melissa truly put so much effort into them and you can tell that she takes pride in her work. It was so refreshing to come in and have a service provider who was kind, patient and took the liberty to ask questions to make sure I got what I wanted. I showed her my inspo picture once and that was all she needed to get to work. From getting my nails to the exact shape I wanted, making sure all the details were to my liking and just having such a nice aura about her. I came here because of its proximity to another errand I needed to run. The salon was relatively busy, as to be expected on a Friday afternoon. I was told I'd need to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to get to me for a nail take off. To my surprise and relief that was exactly what I waited if not shorter. The man who took care of me was quick and communicated well. He was a little rough though. He told me I would need to wait another 2 to 3 months before getting my nails done again because they'd been damaged so much by a previous nail experience. I appreciate his honesty and wouldn't hesitate to try them again. I can't really speak to the price list as I wasn't paying that close of attention but just on the service I received alone, I would try them for something else. My nail removal cost $13. read more

I just had THE WORSE manicure I've ever had... the young lady was ROUGH with the nail clippers, she did a terrible job filing my nails into a round shape and just in general. she did a poor job buffing out my nails, so I opted out of a gel manicure because I was not paying $40 for a poor service. It took me a long time to find a place I like to come back to. The atmosphere is very relaxing and everybody ensures to do a good job with your nails. They don't rush and the products are high quality. When I walked in, I asked for my nails to be soaked off, and a simple polish change on my toes, which were gel toes. I was prompted to go over to the chair and sit down to get service. My nail tech was rude. This nail tech is the one with a beauty mark right above her lip. she also wears popular brands like VanCleef and Cartier. she initially began by asking me if I wanted my nails soaked off and I confirmed that. She then took a fake nail and then began to pry my acrylic nails off of my finger. she pried the nail off of my hand, and one of my fingers started bleeding. I told her that my hand was bleeding and she told me that it was because I had thin nail bed although she did not soak my nails at all she pryed them off with a fake nail. Also, it was hurting me while she was filing my nails which I let her know about, but she brushed me off. She had no care for what she was doing to me while she was doing my nails. I did not receive full service because of how bad the interaction was with my nails. it has now been four days and they are not acknowledging what they did to my nail. They also expect me to pay full price for another set to get put on by them. I am all for supporting locally owned businesses, but if you are the same type of person that I am, you DO NOT WANT TO SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS, they have zero care for their customers and they also have zero hygiene practices in place. I am writing this to let any potential future customers know that I am now headed to the emergency room because my finger has been throbbing for the last four days. Decided to give this place a try after my terrible experiences at other salons. So glad I did. This was probably the best pedicure I've had in a while. The guy took his time, scrubbed and massaged my legs/calves so well. He took his time to polish my nails that the pedicure lasted me for weeks. The manicure was just as good but after a week I had the appearance of a line going down most of my nails (I just did a regular polish, no gel or sns). I took off 1 star because I couldn't find the prices for their services aren't listed anywhere. They weren't on a wall in the salon and they didn't have a brochure. I pay $25 for acrylics with regular polish (before tip) and if I do gel it's $35. They have TONS of color choices even in regular polish. Nail techs are all great and friendly. Check. 5x the amount of lotion for the best pedicure foot massage ever? CHECK! Amazing. The pedicure experience: I walked in and chose my colors. The man doing my pedicure, Michael, asked if I'd like a drink. Then he proceeded to clean, scrub, de-callus, and then massage my legs to perfection. But wait! There's more. I came to Tallahassee to visit my sister and decided to have a girls day when I arrived Friday. She recommended this nail salon due to the wonderful customer service and exceptional work they do. I decided to get a pedicure and a fill in on my hand. My pedicure was relaxing to say the least. I didn't want it to end. My feet feel baby soft and my toe nails are the same matching color I have on my hands. Next I had my fill in. Let's just say I'm in love. The color is absolutely gorgeous. It was applied perfecting with not a drop out of place. I love it. The person who did my hand is the same person who did my pedi. He was such a treat. The woman doing my nails was hopping from person to person and never finished in one sitting. After my pedi I had to wait another 20 mins until someone could do my mani. Ive came back here after a year of trying to find a new salon closer to me when their formal worker "Tina" was here. She was awesome and did my pedicur. I'm here now and there's a younger child "Tan" who did my pedicur, what an amazing job. He don't speak English like Tina but he or she make sure I approve every step they make while doing my toes. I decided to stop by here on a Thursday afternoon to get my SNS taken off and a simple manicure with no color. Since this was my first time here, I decided to look at the service menu/price sheet- the prices are among the most reasonable in Tallahassee! I've been here numerous times and there wasn't a problem. Nails were okay per usual. I usually just do walk ins. But the past 3 times I've come here I've left disappointed. My expectations already weren't high. I've felt rushed as well. This time my partner and I went for pedicures. He sat for 45 mins in water and no one came to service him. This was my 3rd time going to this salon. My first visit went ok- nails came out ok however, service was poor (technician was on the phone during the entire session. The second time was a little better however, 6 days later my nails were chipped and cracked. I ended up having to come to this salon because the one i was originally heading to was closed Sunday. I had sns on my nails and a French tip on my feet. I asked for a sns full set and a color to match the nails along with French tip. The guy that was working on my feet clearly had no experience as he took over 30 mins just soaking and clipping dead skins from around my nail bed and could not adequately trim down the sides of the nail from an ingrown to nail and tried to use a nail filer and regular nail clippers. Did i mention it hurt a lot :( . He looks at me like he doesn't understand anything I'm saying and the workers around him have to tell him what it is i am asking for. This is annoying because i had plans to be in and out my hubby actually got done before me and he had a mani pedi. And not to mention while my nails were getting filed down he must've been too aggressive because i felt like i was getting burned through my nail bed. And then he put the acetone on a cotton ball wrapped in tin foil and left to never return. I got a SNS manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was awesome although they gave me the wrong polish. The polish I got had specks in it and the polish I pick didn't....totally not a specks girl... my manicure was long and not impressive and not done by the same guy as my pedicure....My nails are very thin from my last manicure at glamour nails. So I was hoping to not get the same drilling which would only thin them even more, but I did. Firstly, finding parking was quite easy. To continue, I made an appointment for me and my sister in advance to avoid a wait. We still ended up waiting 30 mins. I was in no rush so I didn't mind. Once I was served firstly with a pedicure the technician was nice and did a very good pedicure. My nails on the other hand was not that good I really was not liking how iturned out so I told the technician in the process of doing my naIls to fix it. He claims he didn't see an issue so I let it drop. And he continued to do a rush job. After I told him I don't like it after my nails where done he, ignored me. I'm a new Tallahassee resident looking for a consistent place to get my nails done, and I'm not quite sold that Allure will be it. Although Allure had TONS of color options for SNS, I was not thrilled with the final product. For starters it took about an hour and a half to get my existing SNS off and new set on. That is way too long in my eyes to have a manicure done. My nail tech also didn't even attempt to clean up my nail beds/cuticles. I even asked if he meant to skip over it and he said he'd do it at the end?? As you can see in the pictures it never got cleaned up. The dip feels very thick and overall looks pretty sloppy. read more
