No gate keeping over here! I worked with Kay and she was amazing. I got a manicure and a pedicure and both turned out great. I got gel x nails for my manicure. It's not yet on their website but they do offer gel x nails and I know they are soon also going to be offering even more nail options and eyelash services (such as extensions, lift, and tint) on their website. If you want something and don't see it, I'd suggest asking because they may still be able to accommodate you. I was a little late to my appointment and Kay still gave me such a high level of customer service and did not rush the appointment. Throughout the process I could tell she was focused on my nail health in the way she approached the manicure and pedicure. It's taken me a long time to find a good nail tech in this area that not only does a quality job but has the best interest of their clients in mind. I had a good experience; I walked in and sat in the chair. The technician was sitting in her car and came in shortly after I entered the nail salon. She got started, but her English wasn't very good, so she handed me the sheet, and I pointed to the one I wanted: LUXURY AND JELLY SPA, which sounded good and was exactly what I needed. I told her no cheese grater, having had a bad experience, and she honored my request. She used a pumice stone instead, which was much better, though a lot more ticklish to me! The massage she gave me during the pedicure was amazing and relaxing. The massage portion of the chair itself seemed old and needed a replacement, but her hands were tantalizing, making me feel amazing. She also got my feet and dry skin back to the way they should be normally. She said I should return every two weeks or at least once a month to get the full benefit and keep my feet moist and callus-free. I highly recommend checking out this nail salon! read more

I've given this salon many many chances and returned even after terrible service and bad manicures. But the truth is the only nail tech worth going to here is Sun and even that experience is mediocre. You can make appointments here but they do not honor them, often making you wait 30-40 minutes later than your scheduled appointment while they serve other customers. As a result you end up spending 3+ hours there only to get a pedicure and not even get color on your nails. Nail techs often injure you. This is at least the second time I'm leaving this place with deep cuts on my hand. This time, it's on three of my fingers. And even with the obscene delays and terrible service, they'll still charge full price. Not worth your time at all and definitely not your money. read more

Found this place sorta by accident. Our normal nail place was closed so we started calling around to find a place open on the 4th of July holiday. It seemed a little small and narrow at first but it ended up being just the right amount of space. The staff was nice, friendly, and helpful when reviewing the various pedicure package options. There are nice massage chairs and they offer water and soda as refreshments. Their prices also seem more than reasonable. I did the "Happy Feet" which seems to be one of the house favorites. My feet felt nice and smooth and looked great afterwards. If I'm ever ready to switch nail places, this will be my back up. I will definitely come back here. read more

This place USED TO BE epic. Please be aware... Allure NOW isn't the Allure of a year ago. Jenny, Sunny, and everyone that had the heart and skill that made Allure what it used to be... gone. Gone. I went in for a pedicure and a gel manicure. Pedicure... well... let's just say most of the polish was on my toenails. I wear glasses and didn't see how sloppy the application was til I got home... why?? Because I RAN out of there after my manicure. I asked for gel and was told at least five times that dipping powder was "Better. Last longer. Same price." The manicure took two hours. Five layers AND five Dremel episodes. AND I was charged more than the price of the gel manicure... hence the insistent upsell and she had no recollection of saying "same price..." Could I have said no? Of course. But after trusting Allure for over 15 years I finally said okay. I didn't know that the place had been sold. After removing the manicure 4 weeks later because one came off... my nails were destroyed. It took 7 months for my nails to be healthy again. All but one has healed... that one has a damaged nail bed. There are better, friendlier, more trustworthy places to go in Vienna. A friend gave me a mini-spa day here as a birthday gift, and it was quite the treat, especially since it was my first time at Allure Nails. Jennifer did my services -- a pedicure, followed by manicure & brow wax. Pedi: It was a step up from the basic one & included the removal of calluses. The heels of my feet went from rough & icky to soft & smooth. Mani: This was the first time I ever had a gel manicure; given how quickly it dried w/ the UV lamp & how long it will last me, I'm getting gel from now on. Brows: One word: fabulous! At other places I've gone to, my brows have been waxed or threaded to within an inch of their lives. Jennifer waxed mine, following the natural shape of my brows, so now they look clean & natural. The place itself is clean & comfortable and the folks who work there are nice & helpful. I arrived soon after they opened w/out having had enough coffee (my friend told me to go early, as the lunchtime & after-work crowd can make for a bit of waiting), so they made coffee for me. I live in a different city in VA but will come back to Allure for Jennifer (just like I do for my hairstylist in Adams Morgan). Plus the prices are very reasonable, and for Vienna at that. I hate to give this place 3 stars because the people that work here are really nice, but I took an Uber from across town and made an appointment prior to coming and it took me 2 hrs and 45 minutes to get a full set and simple pedicure!! No excuse. Sonny, the guy that did my pedicure and full set was very apologetic but it didn't matter. Almost 3 hours in a nail shop WITH an appointment is unacceptable. I came in with an appointment and 3 other women that were walk ins had complete pedicures and I hadn't been finished. The reason they gave was because Sonny was going to do my full set, but someone else should have done my pedicure. Lastly, once I got back into my Uber and into daylight I realized how uneven and bubbly my polish job was. $50 and I'll have to go somewhere else to fix my gel polish. This place has excellent service and amazing pedicures for great prices. I got the basic pedicure + scrub and paid wayyy less than what I would've paid pretty much anywhere else in the area for probably less quality or rushed service. Here they pay close attention to detail to give you the best experience and they really took their time, despite other customers walking in. Also, they seem to have a lot of regulars and maintain great relationships with them, I can definitely see how. I have yet to get a manicure here (which seem to be priced around the same as other nail spots) - which, for all who know me know, I'm extremely picky with depending on what I want, but rest assured I'll be back here soon for my next pedicure - it has been over a month and my toes still look fresh & fleeky with using regular polish not gel. I absolutely love this salon I get acrylics done by Jenny, and I always leave 100% content. She does a great job, she works really quickly, and she does them thin enough to look natural but they don't break! I just got my brows done by her for the first time too and she did a great job! I am super picky about them, and I have really sensitive skin. She used a sensitive skin wax and it didn't hurt nearly as much as usual. I didn't have a HORRIBLE experience here but left with a bad taste in my mouth. I called 30 minutes before to make an appointment and they were able to take me in right away for a gel mani. This place was tiny and kind of tight. Fari was my tech and she did a decent job shaping my nails but not a thorough job getting my cuticles out. First thing I noticed is that they are not clean at all. She used a nail filer that looked super ashy(powdery) and used. I'm not even sure if the bowl and the marbles inside was even cleaned before I used it. The tools she was using on me didn't come from a sanitized bag so I'm pretty sure that was not clean either. I'm usually not the germaphobe so I went along with it. When I was trying to pay, she said they only accept cash for tips. There was no sign or anything posted inside the store to indicate this or else I would have mentioned or done something prior to getting my nails done. When I told her I didn't have cash, the other guy in the store told me to go to the bank down the block or come back the next day, which to me, both options sucked. Either way I insisted I'd rather take care of it today and they took my payment in card. Not everyone carries cash these days and a little heads up would have been nice. There's a lot of nail shops that are cleaner, cheaper, and better in this area. I won't be back. read more

My friend told me to come here to get my eyebrows waxed -- and now they look AMAZING -- I never knew that my eyebrows could look so shapely and clean!! PLUS the waxing room was super cute with bombshell pin up-esque pics on the walls that were fun to look at while chatting with Jenny as she waxed my eyebrows -- the waxing pain level was at butterfly kisses, it was like a breeze waxed them! Anyway I was really happy with my eyebrows that I got a gel mani with my nails shaped round with a point, I'm feeling super fierce and beautiful. Important update for my fellow hedonists: Allure now offers (the best) neck and shoulder massages, provided by Fari. She is the sweet new addition to their team, from Iran and very soft-spoken; her massage skills are exceptional! I hope they formally add this offering to their 'menu' soon; it really is the icing on the cake after fully relaxing in the pedicure chair, to have any additional stress alleviated with a rejuvenating neck massage. Came here with two girlfriends on a Sunday afternoon and we were happy with how clean the salon is as well as the very friendly service. We called about 30 minutes ahead of time and they were willing to take all 3 of us for pedicures. There were only 2 technicians working at the time, but, they got all 3 of us situated in the pedicure chairs, soaking our feet, and offered us water so we could immediately start relaxing once we picked out polish colors. The polish options were actually pretty decent, though, they could have been a little more organized. The technicians managed to work on the 3 of us fairly quickly by being smart about pacing out the various elements of our pedicures. For example, while my friend K was sitting with the mask on her feet (she did the citrus pedicure) my friend M was getting her feet groomed. So, it felt efficient but not rushed and the 3 of us got to sit together and chat for a while. I went with the papaya pedicure which I definitely think was worth the extra $10 ($35 instead of $25) as it included a scrub and paraffin wax, as well as a foot massage, which resulted in my feet feeling extremely smooth and soft. Sonny gives a good massage and he was meticulous with grooming my foot and applying polish. Tips are cash only! Bonus points for them playing HGTV (on mute) in the background and having lots of magazines. read more

Hidden gem of Vienna! So many nail salons in this area are incredibly over priced. Allure is affordable and the staff is incredible! They pay attention to detail and take their time with each customer. Jenn did an amazing job waxing my eyebrows, I would recommend her to anyone. The pedicures last at least a half an hour and they do not skimp on the massage. And the hot towels at the end, what more do you need? Sure it's a small salon and sure the chairs aren't brand new, but it's clean, affordable, and they do an impeccable job. Great gel and regular polish selection. Worst customer experience ever. I tried to do a walk-in on Valentine's Day and was asked to make an appointment which I happily did. When I returned later at my scheduled time, they would not honor my appointment and asked me if I could come back again tomorrow since they were backed up (all walk ins). In general I have been overwhelming happy coming to Allure. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left much to be desired. I came in on a Saturday for mani-pedib in preparation for my work Christmas party, and we looking forward to some pampering. I was getting gel polish for both. They were not busy on this particular day, with just two employees there (who are both newer, I only recognized one, and have never had, and I was one of two customers. First, My pedicure seemed very rushed, with barely any massage with a little bit of oil immediately after working on the calluses on my heels for about 10 seconds... Literally, it was like she was just checking each box and rushing on to the next step. After rinsing and drying my feet, she moved right on to doing my polish. No lotion. None. Not before or after the gel polish. Then on to my manicure. I didn't have any polish on when I came in, so no need to remove. I sat down and she immediately began file my nails very roughly. I was a little confused... I've never had a manicure without having my nails soaked in a bowl of warm water, but this time there was none. I thought maybe she was planning to get it after filing my nails, but nope... She jumped right into working on my cuticles. I stopped her and asked if she was going to soak my fingers and she looked at me and repeated what I said as a question "soak your fingers?". I said yes and she stopped what she was doing and got a bowl of luke warm water and told me to put my fingers in it. I felt like I was putting her out instead of being pampered. Very disappointing. At this point the other customer had left, and a new one came in. Instead of continuing my manicure and having the other employee do the new pedicure, she stopped doing mine and had the other woman take over so that she could do the next pedicure. Excuse me? Really? Not sure what the reason was, but I couldn't help but feel like it was an attempt to increase the amount of tips each would get. I generally tip very well but this just gave me a bad taste in my mouth. Ultimately I was happier towards the end... The lady who took over my manicure was very conscientious and it is quite literally the best looking polish I've ever had. She also gave me a nice long hand massage when the polish was done. This somewhat made up for my growing disappointment. I may be looking for a new regular place after this experience, unfortunately. Either that or I will only be making appointments with very specific people and no longer taking my chances with anyone I don't know there. This whole experience was disappointing. read more

I even got an nail polish remover before I left (as a new Brazilian not yet know good products) $$ most important - the price is NOT CHEAP, but reasonable. Much more realistic than other places in the area. Cons: I would say the duration of the process. Since I only did pedicure, I expected to leave in about half an hour, but it took an hour.
