I got engaged in July of 2017. As an older bride preparing for my second wedding, I had every intention of doing everything on my own. That wedding planners were for the younger crowd. I was completely wrong. Very early on I realized how impossible it would be to carry out my vision on my own. We decided on Coloma Resort for our wedding site, so I called and left messages with several wedding coordinators in the Sacramento area and selected Alluring events. In December I met with Rachel and Lonnie, and Lonnie was selected as my coordinator. She was responsive to every text, and I sent many. She knew my vision and gently guided me when I was off track. As someone who is at between 20-30 weddings a year, I can tell you that not all wedding planners are created equally. I couldn't be happier or have a single nicer thing to say about Sarah Bayer and her team. Sarah is single-handedly the reason our wedding went so flawlessly. In the year leading up to the wedding, Sarah was very helpful as a sounding board, especially as we made COVID-related decisions. In the months leading up to the event, she was very communicative and spent hours on the phone with us nailing down even the tiniest details of our night. Sarah was very organized and detail oriented, and as soon as I sent her a vendor contract and contact info, I could count on her to take over and communicate anything that needed communicating. In the week leading up to the wedding, she helped me rejigger the timeline so we could ensure enough dancing. She's clearly an expert at what she does because when I wanted to move things around she'd know exactly the ramifications -- "If you move speeches here, it will mean people are still eating when dancing starts." etc. On the day of, she brought my vision to life even better than I'd envisioned it. She handled my crazy bridal party with ease and grace. She managed a tight run of show. I honestly have no clue if there were every any issues, thanks to all her hard work behind the scenes. I truly don't know how she managed so many details and moving pieces, while also seemingly being right there, ready and waiting, whenever I needed anything. She was also just an absolute joy to have around! My husband and I are beyond thrilled. Can't say enough nice things about Sarah @ Alluring Events for the job she did with our wedding. I've never seen someone go so above & beyond at their job to make sure everything went perfectly. Even until the very end, she and her team stayed way later than they needed to so that even clean-up went smoothly. We also had a few issues with other vendors during the wedding day, and neither my Bride or I even knew about them until after because of Sarah taking charge. From the looks of the other reviews maybe we should have met with Aubrey for our consultation. My fiance and I met with Kayleigh in their office. Upon arrival she shook my hand and ignored my fiance until we got in the room and sat down. Then she goes 'oh. hi' and shakes his hand. We sat down, Kayleigh asked how met, and that is where it got strange. She asked a couple quick questions- venue, do you have a florist, ect. then she just starred at us. Like a deer in headlights kind of stare. I had to prompt her to tell us about their services, hoping it was an opportunity for her to sell their business to us. Or at least appear mildly enthused about our upcoming wedding. She simply read me the same information I had already read on their website, and that was that. I would suggest having someone more professional conduct the initial consultations, as we were very underwhelmed by the meeting, which lasted all of about 8 minutes. I felt the meeting was very generic and awkward. When someone is looking to spend thousands on your services, next time try and at least fake a little enthusiasm. Btw, I am in no way a bridezilla of any sort. Just want to warn others of the lack of maturity and professionalism we experienced. read more

I knew going into the wedding planning process that I would want to hire a wedding planner to ease some of the stress and nerves. Aubrey was my first choice because she had amazing reviews and I loved her website. I met with her and she made me feel calm about everything! We brought her on for the full-time planning service. My husband and I were married last weekend. Three weeks before the wedding, after a little mix-up with our wedding venue, we were in need of a day-of coordinator. We went with the day-of coordinator package which was perfect for us, as we wanted to handle vendor selections ourselves, but definitely wanted help on the day-of so that we could be stress-free. Prior to a month before the wedding, we sent all of our contracts to Brittany and asked various questions on vendor recommendations and whatnot. Then she took over the vendor communication from about a month before the wedding. The day of, she and her team were life-savers. We had two ceremonies, a box of 150 wood-carved names to sort for dinner, two different flower arches, different signage that we brought, and they handled it like champs. We were totally stress-free as we desired. I wish we could've splurged out for a more comprehensive package and have had help with the design, but the day-of coordination was more within our budget and totally worth it for us. Our wedding was in May, it is now January and I am just finding the time to write this review which I have written in my head over a thousand times every time I think about how fabulous our wedding was thanks to Aubrey and her amazing team! My husband and I decided we wanted our wedding to be at my father and step-mother's house in California while we were living in a different state. At first it seemed like no big issue to have over a year to plan a simple backyard wedding while living a state away. Man, were we wrong! It soon became apparent that flying home every weekend to try and plan a wedding was just not going to work. That's when we made a family decision to hire a wedding planner. At first I was skeptical, I thought about all the other places that money could go to in the wedding and how it couldn't be that hard to plan a wedding. Then we met with Aubrey. From the very first meeting I just felt comfortable with her. Aubrey had such an easy going and relaxed personality it kept my anxiety in check (she was the PERFECT person to have there on the wedding day!). Aside from that, at our first meeting my father really grilled her with questions. She handled those questions expertly and did not seemed phased at all by explaining how she would make the wedding something above and beyond and stay in our budget, and figure out a way to include all that I wanted in my wedding! After the first meeting with Aubrey my entire family was sold and we asked her to help us with the planning of what I came to find out was not an easy wedding to pull off! There were many details to this wedding that I think were a bit out of the ordinary that Aubrey EASILY worked out. She had an answer for every question and solutions for worries of ours as to how to work around certain family dynamics and even helped us find a caterer that could provide a vegetarian wedding meal! Furthermore, with Aubrey you are not just getting someone to plan and coordinate the wedding, you really are getting someone with design experience. I had vague ideas of what I wanted my wedding to look like and some random Pinterest pins that Aubrey turned into the most gorgeous wedding design. She has such an incredible eye for detail and used a lot of her own cute pieces to accent the wedding decor. There was not pressure to use vendors she had worked with in the past, however, we ended up using vendors she recommended because we trusted in their work ethic and final product because we saw that in Aubrey and trusted her judgement fully. I am so happy we did!!! After a year of planning the big day finally arrived and I could not believe how relaxed I felt knowing Aubrey had EVERYTHING under control! Three days before our May wedding the forecast showed heavy rain which was not ideal for our cute outdoor evening wedding. Aubrey was so calm and simply stated we needed to change the plan. She helped us find a tent, had it set up in the backyard and seamlessly changed a years' worth of planning overnight. Needless to say, the wedding was gorgeous and I think the pictures speak for themselves. If Aubrey could have stopped the rain she would have, I believe this amazing woman can tackle anything! Sarah from Alluring Events was my day-of coordinator for my wedding at Park Winters a week ago and I have nothing but great things to say about her! She was a huge asset during the entire wedding planning process even though she was technically only a day-of coordinator. (I can only imagine what you get when you sign up for the full planning service!) Sarah was always responsive via email and available for calls, checked in to make sure we were on track throughout the planning process, helped us with our timeline, and recommended other great vendors. We felt like she really got to know us and the vision we had for our big day. As we got closer to the wedding she went over every little detail with us to ensure she knew exactly how we wanted everything. A few days before the wedding she took all of our extras (signs, favors, guest book, candles, etc.) and on the day of the wedding she arrived at noon to set up so we could focus on getting dressed and taking pictures. She set everything up perfectly and even made a few excellent game time decisions when issues arrived that we hadn't anticipated (checking in with us as necessary but largely taking care of everything independently so we could enjoy the day). I was on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator for my 300+ person wedding, and hiring Aubrey was easily the best thing I did for my wedding day. We used her as our day of coordinator for our Livermore wedding on 2/24/18 and I don't even know if I can truly express in words how great it was to work with her. As someone who gets overwhelmed and stressed easy, having someone like Aubrey help us the day of our wedding was hugely helpful. She is so calm and collected and easy to be around. She is an incredible coordinator and helped me feel so relaxed and ready for our wedding day. Hiring a coordinator was worth every penny, and is a great investment for a wedding. She was available by phone or email and was always prompt to respond to my questions. Our caterer was over an hour late to our reception and appetizers were rushed to get out and dinner started late. Normally, I would kind of freak out. Aubrey and her team took care of everything and I didn't even stress much when they told me that. I fully trusted Aubrey and her team and knew they would make decisions in my best interest if I was unavailable to make the call on something. Aubrey was my main coordinator, and Rachele was a huge help in the day of coordinating as well. They are both so sweet and love what they do. They do what they need to to ensure their client enjoys their day. I cannot imagine what that day would have been like without them. I am type A, and Aubrey had the perfect balance of commanding all of the details while remaining calm and collected. When I would get overwhelmed or frustrated, she would pull an Olivia Pope style "it's handled" and I never had to deal with the issue again. She provided suggestions and advice about every aspect of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, I had 1,000 paper cranes to hang around the wedding venue, and Aubrey and her team came up with creative ways to utilize them all.
