I recently had a near perfect first experience at this newest West Memphis, AR entry to the…read moreexpanding coffee shop scene. I spoke with Kelvin, the owner. He was friendly, informative, and gracious. He described how his business' coffee beans were sourced locally from Rigby Roasters (of Memphis). Their small-batch ice cream came from Little Rock's Loblolly Creamery. The quiches were handmade by a local chef. Well, of course, I sampled all of the above! I was quite impressed with the flavorful sausage quiche. The "cold" coffee that I was eventually served was well-balanced and delicious. The Loblolly ice cream selections were difficult to choose from, but I was extremely pleased with my dish of eggnog flavor. Also, I took home a hand-packed pint of the bourbon pecan, which was completely scrumptious. I'm really pleased that this locally-owned shop has renovated a downtown two storey building and opened there. They even have offices for rent upstairs, as well as an Air B&B rental apartment. Plus, they are very happy for your business right up to their closing time. In fact, I noticed that at least five customers were served several minutes after 6:00 p.m. Angled/head-in street parking spaces are available in front of shop. (When leaving, be careful backing up, since many fellow drivers are impatient and incautious.) I really liked the relaxed/chill atmosphere here. If I lived in the neighborhood, this would definitely become my favorite coffee stop, and quite likely largely supplant my Starbucks' caffeine habit. I plan on returning here again and again.

I was expecting this to be a coffeehouse with food but this really is a food place that offers coffee. So temper your expectations if you plan to go specifically for the coffee. I ordered a lavender latte with about half the sweetness that it would normally be served with. The latte was extremely milky - no joke it had to be at least 96% milk. It was fine? Not great. Just tasted very much like lavender milk. Our food was hit and miss. The biscuits and gravy was a miss. It was a little gelatinous and on the thick side and we found the plating off-putting. (Served in a bowl filled to the brim.) While the pancake plate with an over medium egg and bacon was a winner. Everything here was cooked perfectly and the taste was great. I would recommend the cuisine part of Jay's but I wouldn't recommend the coffee based on my experience.

Thankfully, this time around, the espresso was actually IN my cup, so I was grateful for that, however, the drink itself was just very bland in flavor and not something I'd ever pay for again. The strawberry muffin was pretty good, I just wish it had strawberry pieces inside the actual muffin as well. Just like the Collierville location, the inside and outside is cute and it would be an excellent place to hang out and get some work done on your laptop or just hang with some friends. The barista was also very sweet. If it wasn't for the barista and how the place looks, this would've received a 1 star from me for the muffin and that's all. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back and giving this place a 3rd try. Side note, I worked in a local cafe for a long time and one of our main attractors was the fact that we had a list of drinks you can order. This coffee shop does not have that. There's chalkboards just explaining what they have on hand in terms of syrups and then you basically build your own flavor combo, which is nice as a side option, HOWEVER, not nice when you have new people coming in trying to check out your drinks. They sell fishing tackle, and act as a convenience store and grill for the nearby Jenette, Arkansas community. As a common consequence for the convenience of the existence of rural stores, the prices for their merchandise are rather high. I do like supporting independent retailers, so I try to purchase things from small businesses that I might ordinarily buy from my normal grocery store. I once had them cook-up a cheeseburger for me, but was woefully disappointed that the chef was actively smoking a cigarette while making my food!* This was way too "old school" for me, and made for the disgusting ambiance of polluted indoor air. (* If you dislike cigarette smoking, I would instead recommend going elsewhere: Just over five miles west, on U.S. Highway 70 in Shell Lake, is Lakeside Grocery / Citgo gas station (I-40 Exit 260). There they make pizzas and sandwiches to order, carry liquor, are open later in the evening, sell gasoline/diesel fuel, and don't smoke tobacco inside of their building.)

They have given away free beverages on Saturday and Sunday and free beverages all the following week and also a free swag - T-shirt giveaway with the purchase of a large. Despite the very long lines. Plenty of friendly employee there to help get orders out quickly. Drinks were very icy and tasty, the flavor combinations are endless. The location is right across the street from Costco in the Kroger parking lot. Welcome to the neighborhood Seven Brew, June 2026.
