Stay away from this company. I can't believe the "contractor" that Ally Storm Claims sent to assess my Hurricane Florence damage. This guy was extremely unprofessional, filthy hands and ripped-up jeans, coming on to me and touching me inappropriately on my body. (I had to say I had a husband just to get him to back off.) Additionally, he reeked of cigarettes. But the worst and most suspicious of all was that he refused to provide a written breakdown (estimate) of all the work that he had assessed. No written estimate. He said, "Once we have your confidence, and you sign an agreement to hire us, you will get all of that." WHAT?! I posted a negative review on Google, and the owner's fiancé contacted me, wanting to meet with me because she knew I had a recording of my encounter with her employee. She came and wasted my time though. She said that she, herself, was a licensed contractor. She had me take her all around the house, showing her all of the damage, and then she made me wait at least a half an hour until her actual contractor who did the work for her company showed up. Why did I take her around and show her all of the damage, when she is not capable of providing a breakdown of costs herself? What a joke. To top it off, she told me that her company would provide that estimate for me to determine whether or not I wanted them to do the work. I never got it. Stay away from this company. read more

Very pleased with Ally Storm Claims in Jacksonville NC. We replaced our roof one month prior to Hurricane Florence and did not lose any shingles during the storm. Our project manager, Michael Barker, worked with our insurance adjuster, negotiating all repairs within our deductible. We ended up with a 30-year roof wind rated to 130mph. If I could give 0 stars for this place I would! DO NOT use this company!! First they fired one of their guys and didn't notify us, so that guy was still in contact with us working with our insurance and mortgage company to release a check to him. Luckily we were contacted the day before this happened by the owner to stop all contact with him (3 weeks AFTER he was let go). Now the owner is refusing to pay the company that did the drywall and called us to let us know this other company is trying to put a lien on our home, which they cant do, we have all proper documents signed along with payments, but the owners are in disagreements about the company and they're dragging their clients and employees into their mess. They are VERY unprofessional and VERY difficult to deal with. Save your time and money and find someone more professional! They have been in our home over 4 months now and it's still not complete. read more

This has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a business. The project manager I started out with has been great the entire time, even after he has moved to another company he has continued to help me through my claims process. Not once during the 6 months that have passed have I received a phone call from anyone who works for the company in regards to any pricing, any options for repairs, dates, times...NOTHING. After payment was remitted to the project manager at the time, the company is stating they didn't receive payment. That's the only phone call I have received, one asking about payment that had already been remitted. Now, 3 months after payment for the only repair that has been performed on my home, they have filed a Lien claim on my home for well over what was even done in the first place. I have never signed off any pricing or repairs in the first place with this company. I have called the owner and still have yet to hear from her. Yes, there are always two sides to the story but asking around, it seems a lot of people are experiencing a similar situation to mine. Although with the help of an attorney this matter should be handled quickly, it's a huge inconvenience, its completely unprofessional, and a total scam and fraud case. PSA: Stay away from this company. This is a predatory company with fraudulent and misleading business practices. They advertise themselves as being licensed and bonded, and refer to themselves as a General Contractor, but they are not a licensed General Contractor with the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors (https://nclbgc.org). In the wake of Hurricane Florence last year, they emailed us a fake/forged receipt and tried to price gouge us ($2000 for one tarp). After they first showed up, they failed to follow up on anything they said they would do. Then, after about 6 months of no contact/radio silence, they emailed us the fake/forged receipt out of nowhere and threatened us with collections if we didn't pay $2000 in 15-days. When we called them to try to figure out what they could possibly be billing us for, they refused to answer any questions and kept repeatedly saying, "All you need to know is that you need to file a claim with your insurance company and that the insurance company would pay it". After being threatened with collections and stonewalled by the company, we filed a complaint with the North Carolina Dept of Justice and the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. Go figure, Ally Storm Claims' attorneys sent a generic response to both agencies that did not address the complaint then just simply tried to disappear. We just got a letter back from NC DOJ this week saying that they have not been able to get in touch with Ally Storm Claims and that Ally Storm Claims has stopped responding to them. What happens at this point is a matter between Ally Storm Claims and the State of North Carolina, but I cannot caution people enough to stay away from this company. read more
