The ambiance is very beautiful ! Lots of color and decorations so it's great if you love to take your photos. Food wise: I found them a bit expensive for the quality. Searching for Mexican food while in Miami and came across Alma Mexicana. Browsed their menu and found a CA burrito. What?! I knew I had to check it out to see if it was legit. Indeed it was! Alma's CA burrito came with beans, but I got mine without them. Definitely took me back to the CA burritos that I remember in San Diego. The carne asada was tender and had good flavor. Fries were crispy and didn't take over the burrito. Guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo were a good amount as well. Accompanied by either their green or red salsa, Alma's CA burrito hit the spot. C devoured his side of rice and beans, so guess that was good as well. Viva Mexico! This place is yet ANOTHER top-notch Mexican eatery popping up in Miami. This is a trend I saw coming and so glad it's here. This place, despite its amazing vibe and look, seemed to be headed to a 3 star due to our first server who was unexpectedly unhappy and cold. BUT then another server started helping us and she saved the day, she was all smiles and so hospitable. Anyway, THE FOOD! I ordered their delicious all-day breakfast option and one of my all-time favorites home style meals... Chilaquiles! This is tortilla chips quickly stewed in green salsa, topped with onion and chihuahua cheese and served with crumbling white cheese, two over medium eggs and a dollop of sour cream on top. Daaaaamn (in my Chris Tucker voice) this is perhaps the most amazing Mexican brunch dish ever. Beans and rice on the side of course, these were excellent. I washed it all down with their horchata and pineapple juice. Horchata was good, but watery, not going to win any awards but good. Pineapple was tasty, fresh and perfect with the meal. I had the chance to visit this place today for lunch. We have steak tacos and vegetarian burrito. Even though the menu says 4 tacos you only get 3 because the recent switched to "bigger" tortillas. However these new tortillas are why you traditionally get from a street taco. The taco taste was okay but nothing that would make this place a "destination" The burrito was not appealing at all. The white tortilla felt and tasted like the Walmart Great Value brand. The inside was equally disappointed. The vegetables were not sautéed and feel merely warmed before stuffing in the burrito. Ok so a friend of mines told me about this place... I have been craving REAL Mexican food. With the area being pro dominant Spanish food there is a huge difference. I am from LA so I am extremely picky I know what street tacos and Mexican food is supposed to taste like. Well this is my new go to spot for real! I was so impressed with the food and the meat. The meat had a great flavor marinated and seasoned. I real enjoyed the Al Pastor taco it was crisp and filing. In addition on the enchilada plate you can chose diff meat for each one so I got 1 steak and 1 chicken! Authentic casual fast food vibe! I stopped by recently for lunch with a friend while wandering around South Beach. Yelp Mobile pointed us toward a 4 star spot near Lincoln Road and off we went. I went for the chicken fajitas, which were served on a large plate with an even spread of refried beans (not bad), chicken with crispy red and green peppers (highlight!) and pico de gallo. Although I'm not a fan of green stuff, they serve fresh avocado slices instead of pre packaged guacamole. They also get a prize for serving a handful of colored corn chips with the meal (that's right chain Mexican place who's name begins with a "C", these guys spot you some chips :) and two soft, hot slices of some of the largest tortillas mine eyes have ever witnessed! We ordered a margarita that was large enough for two and had enough alcohol content for a mild daytime buzz. Service is cafeteria style, where I ordered and paid first, and wait for my order to be brought to me. This was done fairly quickly, although I had to remind them to bring the sour cream. A small space, it's perfect for a casual lunch. It's a pet friendly space too. The music being played was mostly Spanish, leaning towards corridos. read more

This is a small place with about 8 tables that are very close together. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. They have a small salsa bar with 4 flavors that you put in tiny tiny tiny cups. I wish they had larger salsa cups so you don't have to keep going back to get more. They have hand sanitizer at the register and at the salsa bar. You can also keep refilling your water at the salsa bar. Our food came out quickly. I ordered the steak nachos. They melt shredded cheddar cheese on top of the chips and then on one side of the plate you get a pile of steak, on the other side you get a pile of refried beans, and in the middle you get guacamole, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I liked having the ingredients placed around the chips so they didn't become soggy. The steak was well seasoned, but the beans didn't have much flavor. There are two tables out front, but no awning. There is a clean restroom for customers. The staff was friendly. I would return if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way to come here. read more

We ventured out here for our last lunch on SOBE, and it was one of the best Mexican food I had while in Miami and cheaper than most of the restaurants. I ordered the paster(sp?) tacos because I saw someone else eat them. I don't normally eat pork, but these were full of flavor and melted in your mouth. They are 4 street tacos that are wrapped with 2 corn tortillas, extremely filling. A friend ordered chicken tacos, and she loved them as well. Another friend ordered steak quesadillas, and her exact word was "you know this is good Mexican when you order a quesadilla, and it taste like real mexican food." If you are tired of eating Cuban food and want Mexican, come here. They also have a salsa bar which I didn't know about until after I finished my meal.
