We stopped in for a double date with our close friends. We were seated right away and we're handed a very large menu! For drinks, we tried out their margaritas, one classic and one passion fruit. Both were delicious; you couldn't taste the tequila but it was there! For dinner, I ordered chicken enchiladas in a green sauce (my friend ordered the shrimp enchiladas!). The boys ordered a burrito and a variety of tacos. Absolutely yummy! The wait time was a little long between drinks and dinner, but it was well worth the wait. Amazing hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant!

Hands down the best Mexican spot in Miami. No frills, no fancy, overpriced nonsense, just delicious, authentic tacos & Mexican cuisine. You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on their menu. Their breakfast options are all delicious, the tacos are unmatched (my personal favorites are the barbacoa, al pastor, and chicken tacos) & everything on their lunch/dinner menus will satisfy you. Portions are perfect & servers are very nice. The epitome of the hidden gem, you will not regret stopping in here for your next taco craving.

Went here for the first time. We got there pretty late; after 9pm. It says it closes at 9 on google maps. It closes at 10pm! We called and it's on the menu. They have $2 tacos on Wednesday and Friday nights. The menu is extensive! We ordered chips and guacamole for an appetizer. The guacamole was a little bland, but it came with some salsa and it was really tasty! I ordered a chicken taco, zucchini taco, and napole taco (cactus). They come plain on a corn tortilla (pictured). You go to the bar and put your toppings on. You can add lettuce, pico de gallo, pickled onions (they were out when we went), cilantro, onion, radishes (also out), and 6 different kinds of salsas. My son got 5 different kinds of tacos and a bottle of Coca-Cola. His friend got 3 different kinds of tacos and a bottle of Coca-Cola. We ate every bite! It was super yummy. The prices can't be beat! Altogether our bill was less than $40! It's a great hole in the wall. I'll definitely be back soon.

Oh boy, where do I start? The parking is atrocious, there's like 3 spots in front of the restaurant. There is street parking, but it's limited. Our waitress was nice, and inside it's nicely decorated. I ordered a chorizo, asada, pastor, and chicharrón con salsa verde taco and guac. The guac needed lime, the chorizo taco was good, the others lacked flavor. Just as I was leaving, I see a roach wandering around the restaurant. I was disgusted, I'm never coming back

Just moved to the area a few weeks ago and stumbled upon this gem! The birria tacos and burrito were absolutely delicious. The margaritas were the perfect pairing - refreshing and reasonably priced for Miami. The service was great, very friendly and attentive. It's a cute little hole-in-the-wall spot that feels like home already. It's so close (just a 10-minute walk) so we'll definitely be regulars from now on. (:

Love this authentic Mexican taqueria. The food is very fresh and spiced perfectly. I has the birria tacos and shrimp ceviche tostada, my friend had the enchiladas. This place is always packed , so be prepared to wait a bit. You can always wait at the bar and get a drink and appetizer. The servers are so friendly and helped us with choosing dishes. Weds, thurs and friday are 3$ tacos. Bring cash in case their credit card reader is down and they have an atm inside if needed. Will be back soon!

My favorite Mexican in Miami! Hands down the best Mexican and with recent upgrades it's even better. It's a hole in a wall, next to a gas station with staff speaking almost no English. 90 percent of guests are Mexican, the food is no frills and reliably tasty. Must visit but bring cash, as on some days (can't figure out the system) they do not accept credit cards.

    Milanesa de res Torta BAD
    Morgan M.

No, don't do it! Avoid! I recently came to this place due to finding it on Yelp and it looked good. After coming here, I am sad to say Yelp let me down for once lol I ordered the milanesa de res torta and tacos. I tried ordering just one but was told it has to be 2 or 3 tacos so I got 2. The tacos come with just the tortilla and the meat, we were never told about the topping bar but saw it before we started eating. Meat wasn't great tasting. WORST MILANESA TORTA EVER. The breading was weird and not crispy or anything, meat was tough, hard to chew and had fat pieces. At the end the server decided to tell us it was CASH ONLY. Beware!!! They were no signs or anything so we were forced to use their atm and get charged a $3 fee for debit. I would skip the trip here, no impressed.

Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Both are always very friendly and attentive. This time we decided to sit in the dining room because we were a group of three and had a lot to talk about. The place has 4 TVs and we were able to enjoy the France vs Spain match. We all ordered La Tropical Draft beer, a light, smooth, and very refreshing blonde. In total we had 16 beers . We shared nachos with grilled steak, which were very good (they pour the melted cheese right at the table). We also ordered tripa tacos well toasted (that's the technique) as we requested, and they came out excellent. Note: They have different promotions or offers depending on the day, not a regular happy hour variety, so it's good to be aware of that. The restaurant offers a good variety of 8 salsas: Sirloin, Chips, Guacamole, Verde, Vicente, Pastor, Chilanga, and Asada. Good atmosphere, pleasant service, and tasty food. We'll definitely keep coming back.

The server was phenomenal, and the food tasted great, though portions run a little small for the price. One thing that caught me off guard: most of the table ordered tacos and enchiladas, but when the plates arrived, the "tacos" were essentially flautas and the "enchiladas" were more like tacos (the photo shown is the enchiladas). Naming aside, both dishes were delicious. We were also celebrating a birthday, and the staff sang for her and brought out a complimentary dessert--hands down the best brownie dessert I've ever had. The drinks were good, the food came out hot, and the ambiance was wonderful, with friendly, kind staff throughout. What did we order? Chorizo Queso: Not your traditional dipping queso, but FULL of flavor and the chorizo was great, decent portion. The table loved this. Comes with some warm fresh purple corn tortillas! 9/10 Guacamole: Nothing extraordinary, standard guac, I wish there was more guac and chips! The tortillas these come with are the same as the queso but fried and uncut. A little different but it was a nice change! 7/10 Chicken and Chorizo Enchiladas: Not your standard enchilada that you may be used to! Full of flavor though and everything was cooked very well! 8/10! Drinks: 10/10 Fair warning: expect a bit of sticker shock when the bill arrives.

The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line.
