Of course, as with everything else, the ticket price has gone up but it's still worth the money. Some places are more generous, with the pour, than others but there are so many wines to taste that you won't mind a short pour or two in the end. There is everything from sweet to dry, reds, whites and blushes. I would definitely recommend comfortable shoes for all the walking and all the wine tasting. This event seems to gain more and more visitors each year, so the lines can get long, and especially if it's a fave. I also enjoy visiting all the vendors and grabbing something to eat.

Hall is located directly across the street on the South West Corner of Route 303 and Riverview Road. There is handicap parking located directly in front of the G.A.R. Hall. Alternate Parking can be found 1 block away at the old Yellow Creek Trading Company. Or at Riverview Court (old Ohio Hardwoods) on the Southeast Corner of the intersection of Route 303 and Riverview Road. We've gone to watch bands I've never heard of and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's a very personal connection to the performers because the hall only holds a hundred ppl or so. You can buy a beer or cocktail and for 2 hours just relax and listen. Very friendly ppl. My only reason for 4 stars is the bathrooms are in the basement. I've seen a new addition that is supposed address this problem but haven't been yet. I absolutely recommend!

I arrived with 2 friends after leaving church. We arrived just before 1:30pm. They had some activities for kids such as a jumping castle. FOOD -- There was one big food line. There were starters (such as grape leaves, fatayer which is a spinach pie, grape leaves, kibbie - seasoned ground beef in a ball like shape, hummus, etc) and there were pita sandwiches (such as chicken tawook and beef shawarma). I had the Kibbie ($10) and then I tried the beef and chicken pita sandwiches that my friends had got. I enjoyed the kibbie alot because I've had it before so I knew what to expect. It's very flavourful. It has seasoned ground beef, bulgur, onions, and pine nuts in it. The pita sandwiches were tasty too. The food tasted authentic enough. I don't like onions but the onions inside the Kibbie were finely chopped so I could barely taste it. My friend Rachel commented that she would rate the festival 3/5 and her friend commented that she would rate it 4/5. Rachel said the food didn't taste authentic enough (the chicken pita sandwich that she had plus she mentioned that the sandwich wasn't worth $12). They also had a dessert table where bakalava was sold but I decided not to buy any dessert. Music is played most of the time under the picnic grove. Overall, this was a fun and family friendly festival. I'll be back next year. This is exactly one of those events that makes you want Downtown Cleveland to be just like this all…read morethe time: Lights, cheer, positive energy buzzing about. The holidays are officially here! In case you haven't been to Winterfest before, this is a daylong celebration of the start of the holiday season. It culminates with the lighting of the tree in Public Square, an outdoor concert, Santa and fireworks. In the middle, there's a Holiday VIllage market with lots of local shops, fun for the family, sleigh rides and more! It's put on by the Downtown Cleveland Alliance with lots of partners, sponsors and such that help fund the event. It's the perfect activity for the family and, the best part, it's free! Heck, even bring a date to this terrific event. It's really magical. Just hang on to the young ones at nighttime, because it gets really crowded and easy to get lost. And by free, I mean as long as you don't fall for all the sneaky vendors trying to sell your kids glow sticks, and other over-priced, useless pieces of crap. You know those things will most likely be lost in their toy boxes, never to be remember again. I would suggest, as long as the weather is decent, to park in the flats and walk up. Not only will it save you money on parking, but you'll also avoid most of the traffic heading in and out. And also be aware that the freeways will be clogged. It's the nature of the beast, people. Overall, this is a great, family-friendly, free event that really kicks off the holiday season. It's not to be missed! I mean, why would you want to? Oh, and try stopping by the Winter Wine & Ale Fest afterwards. It's not free, but its a great time! Just pick up tickets beforehand to partake in lots of wine, beer and local food tastings.

It was located in the square and the decor was very Christmas-y. People actually dressed up for this so not your average get together and pretty classy. Jazz music was playing in the center of the court and huge Xmas tree in the middle for more picture taking. The food was unlimited and tasted very good. My favorites were the Zoup (pumpkin & lobster bisque) and Mac n Cheese with Short Rib Meat. There were a total of about 6-7 food places, and plenty of wine and beer. For a great Black Friday deal, I got my ticket for $25 versus the full price of $50. This was worth the deal because you get 20 drink tickets - I had 16 left at the last hour and pretty much didn't really need them. I would definitely go again next year. Free coat check and parking, I don't think anything can beat that! Plus, a Yelp booth was there so I got my gear.

It's on East 12th and Walnut (see what they did there?) and it's about 20 or so food trucks. It runs from 11:30-1:30 so make sure you gauge your time right! Everything from Taco trucks to pizza mobiles to desserts. It really is a free for all and you can probably find just about any type of food you might be craving. The lines aren't as long as I would expect, and 90% of the trucks take credit cards which is a huge plus! Get there early because parking is just like anywhere else in downtown Cleveland IMPOSSIBLE! I'm not sure if they operate rain or shine but I sure hope so cause I would get soaked to have these food options again. My only little minor gripe is that I wish there was more tables available, that's more so on the city of Cleveland and not the food truck owners but I thought I should put it out there that there is very limited seating if you plan on soaking up some sun I went with the good ole fired up taco truck and I wasn't disappointed. Three tacos for $10, can't beat that. I wanted to try the donut truck as well but their line was too much for me, I will definitely be back though it's definitely a lot to soak up in one trip!
