    Fired Up Tacos!

I live in the building right by Perk Park, so Walnut Wednesdays are a weekly thing for me. It's dangerous! The food truck selection is overwhelming, because there are so many I want to try. Many people who work downtown take their lunch breaks on Wednesdays down in Perk Park. There are lines always, but what do you expect? The food at every single one of these trucks is worth the wait in line, trust me. In my many Walnut Wednesday adventures, I find myself ordering the most from Fired Up Taco Truck for buffalo chicken tacos and Touch Supper Club for kimchi smothered fries. There's always live music. Heinens Grocery usually has a booth set up giving away free totes and such. It's a blast to hit up, at least once, or twice, or you could be like me, and hit Walnut Wednesdays up every week.

Lot of food trucks with lot of options. I am from Texas visiting Cleveland. Hence, I did not prefer to go with the Mexican food but the options looked good from what I can see on the trucks and in the hands of the customers. After a brief confused moment regarding what to pick, I went with the orange truck which is advertising gastro food with Italian flavor. I made the right choice. I go the chicken Philly which is basically Italian bread 9 inch with Italian flavored chicken, banana peppers and some red pepper aioli. Whooooowww.. It was terrific. Simple yet great flavor. IT was filling too. I should have ordered another one for to go. Too bad, I am staying here only for a week and probably will not get chance to try others.

Great choices for sweets and treats as well as the luncheon fare.

Love the selection. Today was the start of the 2014 season and I believe it will be grand. The number of people coming to the area was inspirational. Our office already has our calendar set every week.

Food trucks to me are like having sex in a hot tub; sounds fun and exciting in theory, but in reality it's uncomfortable and awkward. I hate having to wait in separate lines for everything, and most of all, having to balance all my stuff while I'm trying to pay and grab my food. Most of all, I just can't understand why food truck prices have to be so much higher than B&M prices. In theory, it should be cheaper given the lower cost of overhead, however I always feel like I'm overpaying for a paper tray filled with small portions. However, all that to say, I'm not a complete hater of Walnut Wednesdays. It's great that it brings lots of people out to a central spot in Cleveland, and I can't hate on the location as it's a lovely green space with a few seats scattered about. I also like the idea of supporting incubated businesses to allow them to experiment and grow their business. I would say I'd recommend others to check it out if they haven't, and I do enjoy coming to appreciate the atmosphere, it's just not an eating experience I particularly enjoy or look forward to.

First, I got two scoops ($6.50) of traditional ice cream - a scoop of oatmeal creme pie and a scoop of strawberries & cream. Both were excellent and creamy. The strawberry ice cream had a great natural strawberry flavor, and the oatmeal creme pie ice cream came with little bits of oatmeal creme pies. Literally a few minutes after finishing the two scoops, I decided to get some more ice cream, LOL. You can never have too much ice cream, right? I opted for the peanut butter & grape jam soft serve ($6.50). The peanut butter had a strong peanut butter flavor, and the grape jam was utterly refreshing and reminded me of grape soda (complimentary). The staff was very friendly. Plenty of outdoor seating. The shop has a big sports cooler of complimentary water next to the entrance.

Prices are not cheap. But it is super good and they have very inventive flavors. You can taste test. Parking is whatever you can find. No lot just parallel where ever it's OK. Line moves fast. I don't know how to explain it but it was so so good. My friends were literally just eating the sauce because it was so good. Overall, this meal did not blow me away but for a food truck meal, it was good.

While researching for his book he came across Campbell's popcorn shop. After seeing that they ship their popcorn anywhere in the world, my husband ordered some tins for Christmas. I LOVE kettle corn and so the hubby got me a tin w/Kettle Corn, Cinnamon Roll & Pizza flavored popcorn. The kettle corn is NOT overly sweet. It's a subtle flavor that gives a hint of sweetness w/out feeling like your teeth are gonna start sticking together. The cinnamon roll flavor actually does taste like a cinnamon roll. It's not an upfront strong flavor that (again) is too sweet. It's more of an aftertaste that makes you light up w/the cinnamon roll flavor you love. The pizza flavor is like, magic. You don't taste it right away. Again, it's an aftertaste that makes you think of pizza rolls from when you were a kid. The popcorn is light (not heavy). Flavorful w/out being overly sweet. It's really amazing. Wish we had one here in California. I don't see many reviews lately on Yelp for this place. If you've never been to Campbell's Sweets Shop & want to try some amazing popcorn, please give this place a try. I think ordering a couple tins from them & shipping them to Cali is going to be a new family Christmas tradition.

It was super flavorful, though a bit tricky to eat--everything was packed in tightly, so it got a little messy. But overall, really tasty and satisfying. One extra tip: I definitely recommend eating on the second floor. You get a great view of the entire West Side Market, which adds a nice little vibe to the meal and makes the experience feel extra special. Motormouth's owner prefers not to serve fried foods (I guess the fish is an exception), so you'll find lots of other almost-healthy options on their ever-changing menu - & large portions, to boot. They don't necessarily have the glitz & glam of other trucks, nor do they have the major reputation (yet) that some of the others have garnered for themselves, so you might be inclined to pass over Motormouth at Walnut Wednesdays or the Tremont Farmers Market. I encourage you not to, & to give them I try. I certainly haven't been disappointed by them yet!

Or, head to the area with the tables where they have about 3 -4 food trucks. If you see sweets while you're deciding what entree to get, I'd advise you to just buy it and keep it with you (unless it's ice cream) because they can sell out! I, unfortunately, missed out on the Vietnamese coffee ice cream that Mason's Creamery was selling but got there in time to try the jackfruit ice cream. They also have some craft type tables with trinkets and even the typical Asian stuffed animal toys. They open the night market at 5 PM but I would suggest going between 6:30 PM and 9 PM because the food starts to run out and you'll get there before the sun sets (easier to decide what food to buy) and before the crowds come. Parking is a bit of a struggle, but if you drive around you'll be able to find something within 3-5 blocks of the area. My friend and I also took the rail to tower city and then split an Uber or Lyft to the Night Market which ended up being about $7-$8 one way.
