What I noticed about the location of this cabin was that it was further away from the heavy tourist areas but close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. So if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the perfect getaway from the everyday stresses of life. This cabin includes a living room with a cute fireplace, a small but full kitchen with a eating area, full bathroom (water pressure is good and it heats up pretty quickly), a bedroom with a closet, access to the backyard, a front porch and a cozy loft with a flatscreen TV that I didn't touch once. I was primarily there solo to detox from the busy life of Los Angeles and not to ski since I was there beginning of May. Snuggle Bear Cabin had everything I needed to detox. I laid out my yoga mat and meditation pillow upstairs in the loft and it had an inviting view of tall trees out the window. It was a perfect environment to reflect on life, letting all creative juices flow, read and write. The solitude was exceptionally welcome. The final full day that I was there, my boyfriend came up to join me. And really...all we did was snuggle. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone to deeply relax and enjoy the natural wonders of Big Bear. Thank you, Melia, for his wonderful experience.

It was lake front and extremely convenient for a walk into town. We brought sleeping bags, pillows and towels as well as our own cooking tools (which we did not use since we ate dinner in town). It worked and we would return. Cabin 53 is a studio with two queen form beds, the room had a new fridge and microwave that were pristine. Were the finishing perfect? No, but it worked for our needs--a bed get friendly place to sleep while we spent our days enjoying Big Bear.
