WOW! I follow this place on Instagram and they posted a drink and we had to go. Stopped in around 4:45 and it wasn't crowded yet which I'm so glad because we were able to really take it all in. I love love love places like this. When you walk in you don't feel like you are in Indianapolis anymore. Puts you in mind of more like Chicago, Atlanta, D.C. something like that. We had a fantastic server who took great care of us. He recommended different drinks based on drinks I shared that I do like. The decor is very chill and relaxing. The music fits the vibe nicely. Many of the songs I looked up so I can add to my own personal playlist. There is bar seating which seems it may hold maybe 8 comfortably but also plenty of other seating booths and tables. They also have a large projector which they were showing 80's movies, nice touch. They have a stage which I'm told they have live music and other fun functions that they use that stage for weekly. We did order food. Not a large selection but a "different" menu with nice snacks such as cashews and Red Pepper Poopers. I'm in love, I will totally be back and often. My only fear is EVERYONE will love it and I won't get a seat anymore!! Unfortunately I am 90% sure I contracted Covid at that time, but that's not the fault of the establishment. They're operating within guidelines. This is an all day type of spot. From coffee and breakfast sandwiches to cocktails, they have a great variety of menu items and they are delicious! Most recently we went for a Sunday brunch and grabbed 2 specialty coffees and breakfast sandwiches. One thing I didn't like was that the coffee prices were higher on my bill than on the menu by $1 but the coffee was tasty. The sandwiches were made with bread that comes from 3 birds and though definitely salty, they were very good. The inside is 21+ but they do have 2 small bistro tables outside but you need to order at the counter for service. Overall I would like to come back and try more of their items! read more

I loved the decor here! When I entered, I saw the green velvet seats, the white and blue wallpaper by the entrance, the pink wall by the bar, as well as the chandeliers. The bathroom was cute too! The details were great and I loved the indie pop song collection being played :) I came here to catch up with friends and have some drinks. My friend had the pisco sour and we thought it was cute how it looked like a neutral face emoji. The bartender told us in such a sweet way how he accidentally added too many of the drops. We appreciated his honesty and kindness and my friend didn't mind that at all. I had the Free bird - Stunt man mike (mocktail) drink which was around $13 which to me is kinda pricey. I did like it though since it was pretty and flavorful. It had orange, pineapple, vanilla and lime. I liked it though but wish it was maybe at most $10. Another friend of mine had a vodka soda and she mentioned that it seemed light on the alcohol but it was good. I think price wise, the amount they were paying for didn't seem justifying. Went here for a drink before dinner on a Friday night. Our waitress was extremely kind and we had great service. I had the mocha espresso martini, and let me tell you it's the best one I've had thus far in Indianapolis! I will be coming back here simply for the vibes and espresso martinis. Unique spot that is a coffee shop during the day but cocktail lounge during the evening. They were playing a movie on a projector towards the back, but the entire shop is relatively small. The cocktails were FANTASTIC. I had the old fashioned with wild turkey bourbon that was a perfect mix of smooth and smokey (9.5/10). My friends had espresso martinis and Irish coffees. The espresso martini had a cute cat design with good flavor and foam (9.7/10). The last cocktail we tried was the Irish coffee that was also delicious (9.4/10). I went to Almost Famous on Saturday night July 29th for drag show. I've actually heard great things about Almost Famous that's located in the Mass Ave area. Since it's in the heart of Mass Ave there are street parking, get to your destination in the Mass Ave areas early to get a good parking spot. There are accessible parking spots as well as lower sidewalk ramps. Walking in Almost Famous building you'll notice a beautiful colorful painting on the right, and to the left in the entry is a piano that does work. Once, you passed the small short entry you'll enter the main area of Almost Famous, you'll notice the big main stage in rainbow colors, the very unique wallpaper that caught my eyes, and Almost Famous is a gay bar, but it's for everyone. I decided to go Saturday to see a dope drag show, and the theme was Black Girls Magic. The Drag Queens performed from Beyoncé, Tina Turner, and Janet Jackson. You can definitely order food at Almost Famous as well as drinks, I ordered the chocolate cocktail, then later on I had a shot of Tequilla. My cousin had a cheese appetizer(not pictured), piñata colada, and the dealer's choice which is the customer chose their alcohol, and the Bartender makes it. I really enjoyed my first drag show at Almost Famous, love the fast professional service, and honestly I love how it's a low key bar so I'll definitely will come back. read more

Stopped into this just newly opened spot for a cocktail and small bite...all I can say is WOW, they have done an amazing job remodeling the interior (from the former Comedy Sports). Interior was gorgeous, from the sconces to the velvety booths. Great cocktail and tapas menu. The tetilla cheese board was fantastic, the sweetness of the piquillo peppers and the savory castelvetrano olive jam were perfectly paired with the cheese...yum! Curtis was behind the bar and told me about their coffee shop Crema here, which will be open during the daytime, so this will also be a nice place to grab a coffee or lunch and find a quiet spot to work. He also said they are doing Jazz on Wednesday nights. Next time I'll check out one of the Sunday drag brunch performances! read more

The discrimination and unacceptable behavior I witnessed by an employee during Indy's pride weekend was absolutely despicable. I usually like coming to this bar because it's much quieter than the other bars on Mass Ave, however the behavior of their employee is enough to never give them my business again. There was a group of women not being let in because they didn't have clear bags on them (clear bags were required to enter, rules were written on the door). Rules are rules and likely there for safety reasons. That same group of women saw some people coming out of the bar without clear bags. One of them seemed to have gotten triggered and started asking if there's some sort of discrimination happening. Suddenly, one of the employees jumps right in front of her face and starts YELLING at her that she has no right to feel discriminated against. His behavior even made me feel uncomfortable. I'm not sure how anyone in this community could think to say something like that. It was so unprofessional, uncalled for and not somewhere I feel safe going to. I hope the management team at this bar sees this and evaluates the type of people they employ. I can't imagine a bar that caters to the LGBTQ+ community wants to be represented in this way. read more

During the day it is a coffee shop, and in the evening it turns into a cocktail bar. I've been for MANY drag shows. It's a small venue, so you need to get your tickets way in advance.
