Oh my gosh, so awesome and probably one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had. We came here after a recommendation from our server at The Fountain Room, and to our surprise it was a fun Halloween pop up! We got lucky and found seating as a walk in, and we loved the Halloween vibes and decor. The place itself is quaint and cozy, and you can tell they definitely take the quality of their drinks seriously. As stated before, my espresso martini was wonderful. I'm still thinking about it 2 months later! I also love that they're a coffee shop as well, I'd be here pretty regularly if I was an Indy local. So happy we stopped by!

I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit! They had their sippin' Santa popup with super cute tiki drinks. Very cutely decorated! (This was several weeks ago so not sure it's still up or not!) The food! They have an AMAZING happy hour deal, 2 small bites for $15. EVERYTHING was delicious. Definitely get the basque cheesecake and the setas! I will definitely be back to try more items.

We stopped in because we ended up finding a parking spot in front of the place and I was in the mood for coffee, while my husband wanted a cocktail so it was the perfect place! We found a spot at the bar. The place was very intimate and small, but not crowded. There's a decent stage, so I'm curious what types of events they have! Again, I wanted coffee so I was excited to try the Shakerato, which was absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back to try other drinks and the food.

I've had 3 fun experiences here; and two of the best mocktails anywhere in Indy and they were just as good as any other drink I've had I'm a big fan of almost famous the environment the DJs bartenders are cool all in all a very good place to come hang out and no I don't believe in punctuation.

This was my first visit. Love the space. Great drinks and the service was friendly and speedy. Looking forward to going back when we can hang out longer.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Almost Famous! My best friend and I cannot be swayed in our decision that they make the best espresso martinis in Indianapolis. They are always perfect. We stopped in here late on a Saturday night and they were playing Supernatural on the projector screen on stage (my favorite comfort show) and my bestie and I had some dirty martinis + espresso martinis while our counterparts split a bottle of Prosecco. Every time we stop at Almost Famous I have a great time. The bathroom decor is also super fun and I always crack up at the Michael Scott quote that is in both bathrooms. I wholeheartedly recommend this bar to anyone who hasn't already tried them! My next mission is to stop in here during their brunch hours...

A wonderful spot for a pre or post dinner cocktail! All vibes. Our bartender/server was knowledgeable and attentive. They have small plates that were lovely for snacking, but I wouldn't plan a full fledged dinner here.

The staff does a great job of getting everyone inside and screened through security. I appreciated receiving instructions for entry via email in advance. The multiple concession stands are always offering interesting beverages and snacks. We picked up popcorn for the kids. The restrooms are clean. When I first came to Indianapolis, the building was called the Murat. Old National Bank bought the naming rights. The building and theater are fabulous with huge brass railings, marble stairs, beautiful stained glass windows and exquisite decor in the theater. The building was constructed in 1909 for the Indianapolis Shriners and has retained an amazing amount of original Art Deco features. Shriner, Oscar Bohlen designed the structure. The theater is the oldest theater in Indianapolis. As the building is mostly original, some amenities are dated. The (beautiful) railings on the stairs are low for the average guest. Restroom facilities are inadequate and certain restrooms were closed after the show. (This was a problem if you have kids and try to maneuver through crowds to find a restroom.) Balcony seating offers great views of the stage. However when performers enter the audience, as did Blue Man Group, visualization is lost and video monitors inadequately capture the performers. The single staircase is somewhat inadequate and cumbersome for guests exiting in the crowd, especially for small children or elderly people. Parking is challenging unless you repurchase VIP parking. My advice, arrive early to find parking. I love coming to Old National for programs and to see the building. The inconveniences posed by the building are tolerable to enjoy this historic structure.

The other issue was people bringing drinks into the theater. Having no place to sit them, the drinks are sat on the floor. During intermissions the floors were wet with spilled drinks. One patron's purse was wet. Need better seating.

Anniversary dinner @tinkerstreetindy tonight! I've been wanting to go here forever and we finally…read moremade it happen! Started with the cauliflower steak- curry with saffron rice with potatoes and a pomegranate molasses along with the brightness of cilantro and mint. This is listed as a large plate, but we chose it as our starter. Hubs had the pork belly and by how quickly it disappeared, he definitely enjoyed it! I was torn on what to choose, but ended up with the shrimp étouffée and so glad I did! The sauce was divine and the apple chutney added a surprisingly wonderful addition. Dessert? Of course! Banana pudding for the hubs and I had the apple cider whoopie pie. This thing was giant! I tasted the banana pudding and it was good. I might have stolen some whip cream to taste with the whoopie pie and honestly- five five stars.

Friendly staff. Great ambiance and low key, approachable decor. Unassuming. Low volume music sets…read morethe right mood without it being distracting. It's a very small kitchen where all the action happens, which is very impressive for a restaurant their size. Very knowledgeable staff and servers described all the ingredients and notes of flavor to look for in the dishes very well. Most ingredients were locally sourced and staff highlighted the importance of souring fresh local ingredients with every dish. Everyone form the hostess to the bartender and bus boy were friendly and welcoming. definitely 5* for service. The menu is a mix of several cuisines from Korean to Italian and even some French with a twist. The menu has great vegetarian options. Unfortunately the chef's tasting menu wasn't available as my reservation was made same day, but I decided to go with the two specials of the day. Dinner kicked off with a shot of Champaign on the house They like welcoming their guests that way. Water kept being refilled immediately. The staff again was very attentive. As an appetizer I went with the Scallops crudo with house made berry vinegar. The crudo was a healthy serving of scallops. Crispy raw carrots and radish provide some texture, while greens including endive provided some bitterness. This dish was a bit heavy on pepper and bitterness from the endives and could use some acidity to balance it out. Scallops were not as sweet as I was expecting. A bit more of the homemade raspberry vinagrette would have been perfect. The dark blue ring caused by the marination process would have shown more on a different color serving plate instead of a black bowl. For the main course I ordered the Beet linguini with sea bass. Interesting take on linguini Pickled rhubarb, rainbow radishes, fresh dill and a 'beet marinara' sauce reminded me of borscht. Unfortunately the linguini was overcooked and soaked up a lot of the butter and sauce. The pickled rhubarb provided a break from the heaviness of the dish but overall the dish lacked brightness. Sea bass was perfectly cooked. Seared and crusted with salt and pepper on one side, simple. Well executed but nothing special. For dessert I went with the Strawberry dacquoise which was delicious. The white chocolate bark with pink peppercorn stole the show. It should be layered inside the dessert! I wanted more of it. This dessert was not overly sweet. it was a great mix of pistachios and strawberry and fluffy cake. Gelee was a bit too dense but otherwise fantastic end to a good meal.
