I had a pretty disappointing experience at Hovito Lounge, so I'm giving it 2 stars. I came here for New Year's expecting good vibes, but the service and food really missed the mark.First off, my chicken tenders were burnt like noticeably overcooked and the fries were way too salty and over-seasoned to the point I could barely enjoy them. Definitely not what I expected for the occasion. What made it worse was the service. The servers acted like they didn't even want to take my order unless I tipped first, which felt really uncomfortable and unprofessional. It kind of ruined the whole experience. The place has potential, especially for events like New Year's, but they seriously need to work on both their food quality and customer service. read more

Hovito is in a nice location that is right near other nightclubs and lounges in downtown Indy. The setup is nice and decor is trendy and upscale. I was attending a day party so the vibe was chill and the music curated by the dj was fitting. The staff was friendly and offered drink recommendations, and I just so happened to try the Strawberry Tequila Smash and it was good. I also took a couple of fries off my friend's plate (not pictured) but they were hot and crispy. I enjoyed myself and the vibe of the event. I'd attend another day party here. read more

This Ultra lounge is just the place you need to be if you want to relax, chill and enjoy some exceptional dishes. We ordered the empanadas, the chicken wings and the jalapeño mac & cheese with shrimp. The star of the show were the chicken wings we had buffalo and barbecue and they were juicy and flavorful. I ordered a cocktail, and it was strong yet fruity just the way I like it. The music and service were amazing. Great atmosphere and service. This is located where claddaugh used to be. This is a nice addition to our downtown. We need more lounges. We went on a Monday night and it felt like a private dinner because we were the only ones there. That was nice so we could really check out the place. They have an awesome happy hour menu, which we missed because it was 830pm. The lamb chops were good, they had a Mediterranean flair to them. The drink was good as well. The vibe is really nice. This is my first time trying Hovito's brunch and I can't wait to be back! Everything was hot and fresh. The mimosa pitcher was very reasonable. My biscuits were soft and the gravy wasn't too salty, which I LOVED. The waitress was super sweet and made sure we had everything we needed at our table. We came to celebrate my cousins birthday and I think my expectations were super high. It is really cute inside and seems to be a nice vibe to lounge. I had higher expectations for the food. I got the chicken kabobs and they were just ok. Definitely not worth the price. The garlic Parmesan wings were delish! I would order those again. Our drinks were also super expensive but very mediocre. Our server was super sweet and made sure we had all we needed. I don't necessarily need to revisit this location, unfortunately. read more

I'm not exactly sure how I feel about this place which is why I'm giving three stars. Since it's downtown and right on Meridian, be prepared to search and/or pay for parking, of course. Upon entry, I was greeted by a friendly bouncer who directed me to where my party was sitting. I immediately found the layout of the space a little odd. We were at a table in the very back close to the kitchen and DJ. It felt secluded (not in a good way) and the music was so loud. Our waitress, whose name I can't remember) was very friendly and helpful, making drink and food recommendations. Ultimately, I found the menu limited, overpriced, and lacking originality and healthier options. When I asked if I could swap out fries for asparagus, the kitchen said no and that there would be a charge for the asparagus. We ordered Buffalo sliders, but were served beef sliders. We were so hungry though we just decided to keep them. While the beef sliders were good, the beef patty was so tiny it was drowning in the bun. I'm not kidding when I say the patty was slightly smaller than the average chicken nugget. Bc we didn't get our fill, we ordered the Buffalo sliders as well. They were quite tasty and much larger than the beef ones. The empanadas were good. I ordered a glass of wine after reviewing the drink menu and not seeing anything that sparked my interest. My sister had a cocktail and said it was fine but nothing too special. Lastly, I found the decor extremely dated. It wasn't cohesive and lacked a clear style and some decor items seemed like items that belonged in an early 2000s home rather than a lounge. I may try this place again, but I'm not sure. read more

This place is a vibe! I'll start there. Perfectly placed in downtown Indy. You walk in to an Aesthetically pleasing venue with gorgeous artwork and a floral backdrop for pictures. The staff was top tier! From greeting me at the door to making sure my food and drinks were good, I felt like VIP! The manager was there and he was so much fun! I was there celebrating a work milestone with some friends and he basically celebrated with us LOL! The drinks did what they needed to do! I can't remember the name of my drink but it was made with crown Royal peach and it was so good! (See picture) Now the food. Was.Bussin. (That means it was good) 10 out of 10. I had the lamb chops and roasted Brussel sprouts. The lamb chops were perfectly cooked and the Brussel sprouts were so full of flavor. My friend had the salmon and she said it was 10 out of 10 too! Hovito has a great ambience. Very classy and chic. The service was great. Our server Deja was super sweet and helpful. I really enjoyed the drinks. I had the espresso martini and my friends had old fashioneds. The bartender did a great job and even made my pregnant friend a mocktail. However, the food was just not good. The pasta had no flavor and the sauce was runny. Everyone else said their food wasn't great. I would come back for drinks but those were kind of high priced but the place is definitely a vibe. read more

A group of us dined in on 6/11 for the NBA finals game 3. They were charging a $10 cover no biggie. We got there around 7:30pm. They had us wait outside as they weren't open. Once we got in we wanted to have a good seat for the game. Only 2 tvs were working at the time and they were working on the others. So we picked a hi top table. Our server was Eva. We ordered drinks and our food. Mind you im used to glasses and cloth napkins etc. It is an upscale lounge but we were served in plastic cups and paper wrapped silverware. However, a former NBA player was seated behind us and received glassware and cloth napkins etc. Our food and drinks come. Wings were fried hard. We sat right under a fan so food was getting cold and we couldn't move because the other tvs were not working. Its a big game and the tvs kept losing signal. You couldn't hear the game or enjoy it because every 5 min the TVs were going out. At one point the antenna fell from the tv above us into another customer's table. It caused their drinks to spill. Our server disappeared for like 30 min. Unprofessional staff. Servers were smoking hookah with customers not tending to their tables. We wanted more drinks but our server would be gone for long periods of time. I dont mind tipping for great service. To add 20% gratuity to a check for bad service is wild. I enjoyed Hovitos when they first opened. It was upscale and nice. It definitely has went downhill and I will not be returning. read more

The ambiance is nice. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and heard a lot of reviews about this place so we decided to check it out. A few people in our party ordered the lamb chops with scrambled eggs and potatoes which was delicious. The salmon scrambler was good but the chicken waffles and salmon croquettes is a hard pass. The chicken wasn't seasoned and the salmon croquettes looked like hush puppies. The server forgot to bring out the potatoes that goes with the salmon(balls) croquettes. The salmon balls was hard and not seasoned. The food took forever to come out and we were the only patrons. The drinks were okay. Since we had a party of 8 they charged a 20% gratuity vs the standard 18%. If the service and food is delicious I normally tip over 20% because I was a server in the past. Our server rarely checked on our table and failed to get the orders out in a prompt manner. The portion sizes were so small in comparison to the price we had to grab something to eat when we left. I would perhaps consider visiting this spot again if I was downtown at night time but for drinks only though but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this spot. read more

Soooo, we spent our Black Dolla at Hovito Upscale Lounge downtown. I'll first say my experience was phenomenal. The vibe & ambiance was everything. This is a hidden jewel downtown! My wife and I went last night to celebrate my birthday and we tried this place based on reviews. We arrived early and there were a few people at the bar being served. We were seated and served by the amazing Alisha. She gave us high quality customer service while giving us the full ultra lounge experience, while running four people at the bar and two other tables PLUS OURS. We ordered the parm-garlic wings for our appetizer, two drinks (perfect peach and hovito midnight blue), cranberry walnut salad, chicken kabobs with side of herb potatoes, and teriyaki glazed salmon. FIRST OFF, those wings had me eye rolling and sucking the remaining flavor off of my fingers while cleaning the bone, they were crisp and delicious!! SECONDLY, the teriyaki salmon was FIRE!!!!! it was flaky, flavorful and glazed and cooked to PERFECTION! It was paired with asparagus and rice, again perfectly cooked and seasoned!! My wife had chicken kabobs with rice and added side of potatoes, the taste and seasoning were on point as well!! We both shared the salad and baby those walnuts with cranberries and fresh salad paired with the salad dressing......eye rolling amazing!!! The food was amazing, the atmosphere was chic and had us is a good vibe and the overall experience was a memory to remember. We will be back to try other menu items. read more

This past weekend my sister and I were involved in an altercation with the security guards. They physically assaulted my sister, leaving her with 2 swollen ankles, a gash in her hand, and a broken phone. We were kicked out over a 16oz water bottle, that clearly had WATER in it. Hovito's has the potential to be a very nice place. The aesthetics and decor is beautiful, however, the service is 0/10. It took over 40 minutes for our food to come out and we were told our entree would be taken care of due to the long wait and forgetting our meal, however, the server stated the manager changed her mind & will offer dessert instead. Beautiful ambiance warm welcoming feeling, food was decent except I think my sister may have gotten sick due to her steak not being cooked properly we had to leave early due to her getting sick.
