Pretty sure she said, "my husband does all of the caramels of course." So guessing she may be an owner. Great candy, could have been a one off experience. At $30 per pound, a sample and a few interesting facts about the Newark landmark Candy shop would have been a small and appreciated show of appreciation (in and of itself).
