    Coblentz entry in Walnut Creek

Coblentz has some of the best chocolate we have ever tasted. There is a wide variety you can choose from and everything we've tried is very good. It's also a great place to pick up a special gift of fine chocolate for a co-worker or Friend. The counter is a great display of their chocolates and every associate is helpful answering questions about any item. There is also a viewing area where you can watch the chocolate Candy making process. When in the area we always make a stop at Coblentz!

I was so excited to stop here! Highly recommended by the Desk Clerk and on the internet...when I opened the door the aroma of chocolate was AMAZING!!! There was an area where you can watch the ladies make candy. It's called the viewing area which was interesting, not a real tour per say which would have been nice. The entire store was ready for Christmas which was really nice. I enjoyed the decorations as much as the candy. I bought daddy a chocolate cat (Beckley his black cat at home) and myself a few pieces of Dark Chocolate...very good!!! I definitely recommend and I will definitely go back again when in the area!!

The chocolate was delicious. The building was nice and clean with lovely displays of treats to buy. The staff was friendly.

Chocolate paradise! I mean seriously you walk in and want to buy everything lol. Have something for every taste. And the place is just so adorable all decked out with their Christmas decor.

Forgive me for the missing pieces. I couldn't wait. The chocolates are delicious and always fresh.

I just wanted to add a review for the Coblentz Chocolate Company. I don't live in the area where they are located, but learned about them googling best chocolate companies in the U.S. I have been ordering from their website a few years now and will say the chocolates are delicious. I always get the signature selection and LOVE the variety. My favorites are dark chocolate salted caramels, pecan snappers and the English toffee. Their peanut butter cups are also good and creamy. The chocolate is always smooth, shiny, fresh and reasonably priced. My deliveries are always prompt and intact all year round. Their chocolates make great gifts. Do yourself a favor and try them out.

This is buy far my favorite chocolate place when visiting Ohio. So many amazing things it's hard to pick. They have sugar free candies for me and not just a couple things a nice variety. On my last visit I needed to send a care package to my family that made this trip to Ohio possible. Without them it would not have happened. Verna was so helpful and wonderful I hope my next visit she is there. I will be going at least one more time on this visit. This is what I had them package up 2lb deluxe milk chocolate assortment 1lb deluxe milk chocolate assortment 1 chocolate popcorn with macadamia nuts 1 chocolate popcorn 1 chocolate potato chips 1 chocolate dipped pretzels 1 cow chocolate candy 1 pig chocolate candy. I placed the order on Saturday and it arrived in California on Thursday. I was worried that it would melt in transit. Everything was perfect, wrapped nice and had Ice to keep it from melting. My family loves everything they received.

Someone recommended i check this shop out .. and try the chocolates. They said there were alot you could sample but we didn't find that to be true. They had 2 out as a sample ... but those were both very good. They staff didn't offer any other samples. I did buy some chocolates .. and truffles. They were all excellent.

The best of the entire shop was the Snappers! A twist on the name turtles given to caramels with nuts and chocolate. The Macadamia snapper was incredible and took two of us to eat. The pecan and cashew snapper were also excellent. They are the best I have ever had and I have tasted the Sees turtles as well.

This store has a lot of gourmet chocolate to choose from. We scooped out 1/2 pound of chocolate cashews & chocolate macadamias & they were delicious. Some of the chocolates can be very pricey which is why we chose the serve yourself option (it was less expensive). The Buckeyes looked very good but I got some for Christmas so I passed on them. I enjoyed watching the employees making some of the chocolate treats in the back of the shop.

The greenhouse is beautifully laid out with an incredible selection of flowers, hanging baskets, annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, and so much more. Everywhere you look there's another burst of color, and it's obvious they take great pride in caring for their plants. Everything looked healthy, vibrant, and ready to thrive once you got it home. What I really appreciated was how peaceful the greenhouse felt. There was no pressure to hurry, so we were able to take our time walking through the aisles, admiring all the different varieties, and picking out our favorites. The staff was friendly and welcoming, answering questions without ever making us feel rushed. It's the kind of customer service you hope to find at a family-owned business. Whether you're looking to add some color to your flower beds, spruce up your porch with beautiful hanging baskets, or simply enjoy browsing one of the nicest greenhouses in Amish Country, Yoder's Greenhouse is absolutely worth the visit. We'll definitely be making another stop the next time we're in the area. If you're taking a day trip through Amish Country, be sure to add Yoder's Greenhouse to your list--you won't be disappointed!

AMISH KITCHEN COOKING…read more A big restaurant where you'll notice some Amish women working while wearing their traditional white head covering or bonnet. I visited Der Dutchman restaurant for the first time in Walnut Creek, Ohio in late July 2025 with 3 guy friends and 2 female friends. We drove down from Cleveland to visit sites in Amish Country (Millersburg and Berlin). We had just finished touring the Yoder Amish Homes property (over an hour tour in the heat) and after the fun tour we all were hungry for lunch. Der Dutchman came up on a Yelp search so we decided to visit. FOOD (see attached pics) -- Typical home cooking. Served buffet style. Reminds me of Hometown Buffet in Columbus but that restaurant doesn't exist anymore. The menu is large so you will definitely find something that you like. I got fried chicken, shredded beef, mashed potatoes, string green beans, and a side salad. I also got a second plate of food which I think was just another piece of chicken because guests can enjoy "all you can eat"; although, I didn't get too much food neither did I fill my plate up in my original serving. Plenty of options to choose from, including protein (chicken, fish, beef), salads, carbs (rice, mashed potatoes), and dessert. SERVICE -- friendly and efficient. The lunch time was busy but our waiter greeted us, brought water and bread rolls to our table and checked on our table during lunch. If you're visiting Amish country for the day like my friends and I did, then stop by Der Dutchman. It's a well talked about hometown favourite. All 6 of us enjoyed our time. My friends really wanted to visit the Guggisberg cheese factory but they were closed for the day. This store offers not only cheese but other smaller grocery and household items such as butter, apple butter, mugs, t-shirts, etc. I don't like cheese so I didn't buy any cheese. My friends may have bought small cheese blocks but I can't remember. They did sample some cheese which they liked. MY PURCHASES -- I bought an Italian bread dipping mix which is a small tin of herbs. I finally tried the dip in April 2026 by adding olive oil the dipping bread in it. The spice mix is too strong so I don't like it that much and I don't believe it was made locally. I also bought Apple butter which is locally made and tastes good. The Apple butter is too sweet for me though so I've hardly eaten it but it goes well with toast. If you're in the area, stop by this local store. The back of the store is cute because of a little fountain and a well-kept lawn. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 87/250 total reviews in 2026 - 928 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 19 May 2026

The chicken was really moist with nice skin, and I enjoyed the noodles over the potatoes with some gravy. They had a lot of chicken available, and the pieces were really generous. There was at least one beef dish, and I also saw macaroni and cheese, which is not my first choice, but is popular. The restaurant offers a discount on pie with the buffet, but none of us wanted any more food! Overall, a good experience, and everyone was happy when we left.
